Radaronline reports NeNe Leakes’ son arrested on drug charges
Not much from the NeNe Leakes camp lately – until now.
Radaronline.com got an exclusive, finding out that one of Leakes’ sons Bryson Bryant was arrested for a minor pot possession charge. He ended up at the Gwinnett County Detention Center on March 7, the report said. The online publication also nabbed his mugshot (top left.)
NeNe released a statement this afternoon:
“Like any parent, I am disappointed with the actions and arrest of my son, Bryson. Certainly, my husband and I will deal with this family issue in a private manner. My son is not the first young adult to experiment with marijuana, and he certainly won’t be the last. Still, as parents, this is a chance for us to have an open dialogue with him about the dangers of any substance abuse. I realize as a parent that my job is never done. And as I’ve tweeted, tough love was in order. Still, I ask that you respect our privacy during this trying time.”
Earlier she Tweeted the following:
My head is up & held high this morning because I KNOW the parent that i’am! U hate 4 yo kids 2 make mistakes! TOUGH LOVE this morning
She also noted that she will be on Bravo’s “What What Happens” live on Thursday night. I’m sure the host will ask her about her son then, too.
Bryson popped up on occasion the first two seasons of the show. He entered college season one, appeared to drop out season two. He also wanted to be a party promoter.
We’re still awaiting to hear the cast members for season three of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Reports have said Leakes has been gunning for more money. Given the success of the show, all the housewives should be getting hefty raises. Production should also be starting soon.
Broadcasting and Cable confirmed that the show is coming back, along with a new “Housewives” edition out of Beverly Hills.

People everyone has not smoked pot ,but he has not killed anyone.The show is what it is.This is not the first time he smoked Pot and surely will not be the last.Give the parents a break he is a grown man,not like the judge who was recently giving alchol to minors.

Is anyone really that proud of Africa? Have many of us even been “home” (my home is here, thank you)? The entire continent is plagued with sickness, poverty, violence, etc.
Oh, and regarding the show: it’s stupid. Real stupid. But for the people complaining about it, it’s entertainment. It brings in ad revenue. Get networks to stop liking money and it may get “pulled” (as someone above wants).

If you change the batteries in your remote control then you could change the channel like I did the first season. I don’t watch the show but the comments of the “haters” lets me know that it is serving its purpose: putting eyeballs on the commercials that run during the show..Its emotional entertainment garnered from real events in private lives..I’m sure some of you and your private lives would make good TV and some not…The cast members deserve a raise….It good TV,

Okay people get real. NeNes son is just a young adult learning life’s lessons. I happen to know him personally and he is a GREAT person. I’m so sick and tired of people acting like they have never went through anything as a young adult or as a parent with a young adult. Half of the rich white kids in Sugarloaf Country Club are smoking pot. And that is a fact I know plenty of them personally. They are friends of my young adult. I don’t pull the race card but this had to be said half of the white kids in Sugarloaf Country Club and all of the other Country clubs smoke pot. Brice is not the only one. As NeNe said this is a personal matter and no parent wants to see thier kid in any kind of trouble. To the people hiding behind this blog stop FAKING. Where are your kids on the weekend? Who are thier friends? Have you done a drug test on your kid? I dare you to do it and then post on this blog. You’ll be surprised. I’ve had to come to some realizations with my own young adult. Pick your battles. And stop judging lest you be judged.

And as someone above said-What about the judge giving alcohol to kids because she’d rather them drink at home. What ever happened to you’ed rather them not drink at all. And a thug to me is someone that steals all of his friends money and leaves them penniless. And what about swearing you’re not cheating on your very sick wife on national television and still trying to be the president. And what about lying about weapons of mass destuction and sending poor soliders to fight for no reason. And I mean poor- living below proverty soliders who are protecting this country. And what about saying you are a man of GOD and you took the vow but yet you take advantage of little boys. Now these are acts of being a THUG. These actions hurt other people. He has hurt no-one but his parents and himself. How many of you people take illegal prescription drugs on a daily basis. What about members of your family. And last but not least speaking of television shows that need to be pulled. Pregnant at 16. Now that is a show that sets all kinds of examples for the youth of today.LMAO. Atlanta Housewives show everyday lives and to some of us it’s truth and you know the saying the truth hurts because its not really about rich people it’s about the state that we are all in. I look at the Housewives of Orange County they have the same problems. Failed marriages, cheating spouses, alcholism, unruly kids in and out of jail, back stabbing friends,women shopping when they can’t afford to. I’m sure everybody on this blog has dealt with one of these issues. We really need to stop judging each other and figure out a way to help each other and to try to make this a better country. One that everybody can be proud of. With all of the past issues in this COUNTRY we need to start HEALING.

Why is it that this story was opened up for our comments but the story on Ben Roethlisberger(Steelers quarterback) was not! So a kid smoking weed is open for public discussion but a professional football player accused of sexual assualt is not! Not to mention the Roethlisberger story concentrated more on the lawyer he’s retained and the lawyer’s previous clients…to take the emphasis off of Ben.

First off, that was just a bad pic. Had he tilted his head back juusst a lil bit more and really grilled the camera, that would be a thug mug shot. Anyway, no one’s perfect! Plenty of people experiment with weed and get caught. Hopefully this will be a lesson for him. Now, The Real Housewives of Atlanta show is trash. It’s based on DRAMA! I consider myself to be pretty intelligent and I watch the show. It’s only entertainment people! It is not a reflection of the race! It’s not even a complete reflection of Atlanta! I’m getting really fed up with people acting as if AA’s don’t make damn mistakes! On top of that I’M SICK AND FRIGGIN TIRED OF BEING A DAMN HYPHENATED AMERICAN. I know my history and heritage and I love my culture, but I’ve never been to Africa. America is my home and I’d really appreciate it if this country got rid of that crap. Marijuana use itself is not that bad, it’s the marijuana laws that are the problem. If someone chooses to consume marijuana, they should do it responsibly. The first step toward re-education on marijuana is getting people to realize what the current laws are.
