CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” gets second season, will stay in Atlanta
Good news for local fans of the CW hit show “The Vampire Diaries:” Not only has the drama been renewed for a second season but a publicist confirmed with me that it will remain in metro Atlanta, too.
So you’ll continue to see plenty of sightings of Nina Dobrey, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.
The show is averaging about 4.6 million viewers a week (counting DVR usage up to a week after airing.). For the CW, that’s huge. Teen dramas tend to have shorter shelf lives than other types of shows but so far, so good, for this one.

I am so glad. It is a great show. I would love to spot some of the cast. I would give them someting to bite on. lol

thanks for the update…am surprised they are staying…the tax break must really be saving them some dough…I hear from several crew hangers-on that they arent big fans of being here….

They were in Covington filming last night and they seem like down to earth people, I would never guess that they didn’t like filming here and from some of the interviews they do they never talk bad about us they say they like it.

Dont’ no where you got the information that they don’t like it here! Some of the weather has been crazy and they commented on that but they love it here in the south! That coming for an inside source! They say the people are awesome and the town is great! Can’t wait to start the next season looking forward to many more! They also say the fans are awesome and the support has been overwhelming!!! They love love love it here!!!!
