Where is Q100 Bert Show’s Jeff Dauler?
Q100’s Jeff Dauler has been mysteriously taken off the Q100 Web site.
His boss Rob Roberts today gave me a categorical “No comment.”
Jeff is on vacation this week, along with the rest of the Bert Show. (The top 40 station has been airing “best ofs” this week.) I texted Jeff to ask him if he was no longer with Q100. At 1:33 p.m., he responded, “Why do you ask?”
When I explained that he was off Q100’s site and Roberts said no comment, he wrote with a non-answer: “Must be a virus. 
” When I suggested this might be a stunt, he wrote, “Why waste a stunt when listenership is off due to holidays?” I then asked if he’s negotiating a new contract.
At 1:52 p.m., he finally gave me the right answer once I asked the right question: “My current deal expires on 12/31/09. We’ve been negotiating in some form since July.”
So it appears Q100 has taken him off the site as some sort of hardball tactic in preparation for Jeff not being on the air come Monday if he doesn’t come to terms by tomorrow.
I suspected initially that he was negotiating because Jeff has not conveyed anything on his Twitter, Facebook page, Facebook fan page or personal sites about leaving Q100 and I’m sure Roberts would have at least confirmed his departure if that were the case.
Jeff’’s been an integral part of the Bert Show since it debuted in the spring of 2001 as a producer and on-air talent. He books guests and sets up a lot of the bits. He’s also the guy willing to say anything for a laugh (or not.)
Bert Weiss signed a five-year deal in early 2007 but I’m not sure the status of the contracts of other team members Jenn Hobby or Melissa Carter.
Jeff’s agent is B.B. Abbott, who also represents Brian McCann and Chipper Jones. Jeff, for several years, did on-site promotions for the Braves home games, hosting the little promotional contests between half innings.

I agree with everybody’s comments thus far. Jeff’s funny, Wendy and Jen need to go, keep Melissa, and Bert….I’m 50/50 on him staying/going, but definitely get rid of Jen and Wendy, they add no value.

No Jeff on the Bert Show and I’m back to books on tape for my ride to work. I like Bert but he is self absorbed and I can’t believe he sold out to some fake diet pill company…..Jen is a complete idiot….and Wendy can’t even speak correctly when doing the traffic let alone talking about her miserable love life. Melissa is tolerable…but not enough to carry the entire show.

Jeff should get off that garbage show and move over to sports talk radio. As far as the two loud mouth crows on the show…goodness. One crow talks about her tool lover everyday and the other crow talks about how many married guys and shots she can get down her neck.

Does it matter if Jeff is on the show or not? I mean; whether Jeff is on the cast or not, it doesn’t matter, the show is retarded in any sense; these retards give primetime air to “ghost hunters” and any other delusional institution; the whole show somehow decided that Justim Timberlake is more famous than Muhammed Ali; that explains exactly the caliber individuals that make up the show. *sigh*
Wendy is always bitching about nobody wanting to take her seriously but she is talking crap about the guys she meets next day on the show. Jen is always behaving like she is super hot and she is uglier than a stomach ache.
I don’t remember the last time I heard something “smart” being discussed on the show…I understand that talking about ignorant and delusional subjects increase the ratings, but I reeally believe that they just can’t deal with smart subjects. They are absolutely uncapable of talking about something outside Ja Rule driving drunk or trying to make up words of a haulin dog.

Get rid of Wendy! She stumbles or giggles through traffic reports. She’s not capable of reading it. Ever! How can that be so hard? Jeff sounds like he needs to swallow every once in awhile — sounds like he’s running out of breath when he does those commercials. Jenn says “like” every third word (as does Wendy). And, if I hear “get my drink on” one more time … Bert and his many, many, many colloquialisms. Jeff was offered a contract, and he turned it down. Cumulus is not the bad guy here.

Oh, relax. Wendy stumbles a lot less on her traffic reports than I do on my Thursday afternoon shows (www.merge98fm.com), and sounds a lot more professional than I could ever sound. The folks at the Bert Show are supposed to have fun with each other. It’s part of the charm of the show. I owe the Bert Show a personal debt for what they tried to do for me two years ago.

The Bert Show was a lot cooler when it first launched, but the last 2 or so years it has failed. They are not celebrities, nor do Atlantans look up to them as ’stars.’ Jeff actually is the funniest part of the show. He doesn’t BS around to please the bosses, he says what he thinks and sometimes it can be offensive, but that’s what talk radio is all about. The show would be great with just Bert and Jeff…lose the two annoying girls who really never have anything clever or important to say. And I’m a woman and all for female empowerment, but these ladies forced me to listen to SIRIUS on my morning commute so I didn’t have to hear them everyday.
Jeff….maybe you should be hosting your own show on a different station, or in a different city! You are The Bert Show.

When I used to listen to the show during my undergrad years I found Jeff carried the show, and when he was not there my cd player was re-discovered…I agree with another poster Jeff and Bert could do the show…Jenn and Melissa are a wast of time….Any one notice how the bert show website, which I checked when I heard about Jeff, only talks about the national mention they get from their interviews…The show should go…giving out the worst advice, and I cringed listen to the show sometimes….If Jeff goes as does the Bert Show!

I love the Bert Show! I think the people that have spent so much time hating it need to get a life and switch the station. I used to listen every morning on my way to work. I switched jobs and hours and haven’t been listenting as regularly until this past semester. I started taking a morning class and immediately was reminded of how much I love listening! Of course there are parts that are more interesting than others — but that is with anything! It would be very sad to see any of the Bert Show part ways because they ALL play such a huge roll. I hope that everything works out!!

Jeff is the best thing The Bert Show has going for it. I loved listening only because of Jeff. Please stay and if he doesn’t i will not listen anymore because he was the funniest thing about the show.

I have been a listener since 2001 when Lindsey was on the show and they only had 10 listeners. When it was so easy to call in and just chat. The true Bert Show listeners have been through Jenn’s wedding…Jenn’s divorce; the birth of Hayden and Hollis, Melissa’s kidney transplant, Jeff’s crazy stories (always going to far) and Wendy’s nights out on the town; they are truly family that I’ve never met. I think that people need to remember “if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.” Every person on the show plays an integral part.

althought Jeff irks me to the core, his antics bring the necessary controversy a show like this needs. Furthermore, to all the people with negative comments = you people are losers and wouldn’t last one minute on “live” anything. (jerks.)

I think they all balance each other. True the show is different when one of them is absent, but things come up, and when that one returns the show goes back to normal. Either way, I will continue to listen to Q100 in the morning. I hope Jeff’s contract works out so that the show can get back to normal, but if it doesn’t, I understand as well, and wish him and Jessica well. I don’t think this is a place for everyone to start trashing what everyone does or doesn’t like about the show, or who they like or don’t like. Grow up.

The Bert show sure does have a lot of you guys taking the time to comment on this topic, so obviously it’s a love hate relationship, otherwise you would not spend 5-10 minutes typing. I have been a loyal Bert show listener since 2001 and they have done so many great things for the Community, Great parties, Bert’s big adventure, and so many more things!
Everyone on this show has their own special talent and I love that we are involved in their lives. We hear the good, bad and ugly. They don’t hold anything back with their personal lives and I love that! We have learned so much about Bert’s wife and their struggles, Jenn’s marriage and divorce, Melissa being gay and her finding love… Also getting to know her mom and Jeff is very open and honest. I love his wife and I think they have a very solid marriage. She is so sweet and she has a love for life that most woman do not have. As for Wendy, she is only 23 years old. You probably acted like she did when you were her age. She is funny. She opens up the air for the listeners her age. She brings “life” to night life and boys seem to love her. I believe some of you girls/ woman are just jealous. She’s a cute girl and yes, she does say some “air head” things, but again she is very young and really, lighted up! Life is too short to be so stuck up! I hope she stays true to herself and continues to work it out on the Bert show!
All of the Bert show are great people and they are just that “people”. Why would you comment on someone’s appearance or voices? (Berts nose, Jenn being Ugly,ect) I would love to see all of your photos. I bet none of you look as good as Jenn and Bert. Bert has a banging body and they are all very educated people. Jenn is very beautiful, so that is ridiculus to say anything like that. Open your negative ass eyes!
They bring something fresh in the morning and when you are driving 2 hours a day, it sure does make the mornings brighter. I believe that every one that took the time to write something negative are just that “negative” people and need to go get their self esteem checked at the door. You have no right to make such awful comments and you all need a reality check. The world does not revolve around you and if you do not like the Bert show, stop listening! If you want to go be negative, then go complain to someone that cares. That’s what is wrong with the world. Everyone is so freakin negative and everybody gets off on peoples appearance. These are good people with great intentions. They do a wonderful job!
I hope Jeff makes the right decision that betters him. Life is not always about money. Do what makes you happy and I believe the Bert show has.
