Unfortunately, no. It’s on some strange HD-2 repeater channel that is not tracked by Mediabase 24/7, the source of this information.

Musicwise, not much. They both play the current hits with a mix of other songs from the past 10 years or so. Kicks used to play more oldies cuts but in the past year, not so much. So it comes down to imaging, how they mix the songs together and personalities, as well as commercial load. (The Bull still plays fewer ads than Kicks though the gap has lessened since the Bull began that campaign earlier this year.)

This explains a lot. R&B is basically 10 artist being played which is shameful and V-103 why even bother to be on the air – some of the stupid stuff I have heard on this station.
I am sick of the same old stale musical artist – most are studio and back up singers at best – manufactured by the Record Labels and packaged —-sexy. We are TOLD how hot they are…and when you listen to them live, (without the studio wizardy) —they sound AWFUL.
You wanna hear some who can sing —- look at — the girl on Glee – Amber Riley who plays Mercedes…. THAT GIRL CAN SING.
Where is her record deal???? American Idol – passed on her.
All these so called Singers —-Please — there is no males singer out there today that can hold a stick to Luther Vandross. TreySongz??? –yeah right!@@ LOL.

Rock 100.5 is terrible! The should call it C*ck 100.5. All they do is play gay songs like B98.5. Blow the whole place up and start over. R.I.P. Regular Guys.

One last thing — Christina Aguilera – CAN SING – HAS STAGE PRESENCE — and no Drama —- why is she NOT bigger than Rhianna —
This girl is classy — and understands what – being a role model is.
I have yet to see her in a magazine with her boobs out and her legs wide open — like a street walker.
We REALLY need to take the MUSIC WORLD back folks.
THIS IS WHY SUSAN BOYLES – yes – SUSAN (Britians Got Talent) Boyles – 48 year old, puggy, dumpy and frumpy…..has out sold any recording artist’s 1st week of sales – EVER.
We (consumers) are not looking for – a Sex Kitten — WE WANT QUALITY —for the money….not some manufactured studio/back up singer.

and lastly……..LOL!
I am tired of the Recording Lables telling me “what’s hot” — most of these people SHOULD BE one hit wonders.
Meanwhile, the good artist — the great artist — are never played on the radio ——–

348 days in the year up to Dec. 14.
If an artist is played once every two hours every day for the entire year, that would be 4176 spins.
At least with the country songs, the average song length is around 3:10 to 3:15… so around 15-17 songs are going to be played an hour. (More during evenings and overnight and fewer during mornings or afternoons.) About 1 in every 25 songs on the two country stations is a Kenny Chesney song.
Pop stations like Star 94 have an average song length closer to 3:45 to 3:50… so only about 12-14 songs are going to be played an hour on average. That means on Star 94 about 1 in 20 songs is gonna be a Pink song. That’s unbelievable.

Traci i agree with you on most of your points, but as far as singing goes fantasia acapella cannot be touched i took my wife to opening night of the color purple and everyone was blown away by her and latoya(wheres my airplay?) london if we want the real + jennifer hudson, ledesi, beyonce, kelly clarkson and keisha cole are all the real deal live without question. christina aguilara is awesome but a role model who doesn’t spread her legs? where have you been? have you seen “dirty”,”lady marmalade”her naked maxim photo shoot with middle finger extended as an added bonus or countless other sexy and nude pix. im not knocking her hustle but that was a bad example.

also if you are truly tired of the garbage these record companies are trying to pass off as the new r&b and pop music, you should do like i do and write to the record lables and radio stations and get your friends to do the same. demand that they sign the quality singers who are out there on the underground scene

The heading suggested that the top artist of “each Atlanta radio station” would be posted; however, WABE-FM 90.1 was missing. I thought Rodney Ho was a classy kind of guy, yet the classical tastes of the city’s airwaves do not get any airtime here.

I agree with Traci, iam convinced that these so called singers got there because of their looks, not talent. This has happened because of the music video. Artists have to look good, not just sing. I wonder if Aretha would have been as successful as she was if she had to appear in music videos to promote her songs? The same thing could be said with Stevie Wonder? With the concentration on looks, talent was not important. Lets put it this way, with all the electronic tools in a recording studio, they can make anyone sound good. There are a few good singers out there such as Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Brian Mc Knight and Ruben Studdard but the most could not sing their way out of a paper bag.

The record companies simply have lost touch with the consumers. They think that consumers want some sex goddess who can barely carry a tune. Susan Boyle is showing them that is not what the consumer wants. They want someone, regardless of looks, who can sing. I wonder will some of today’s have any lasting career 20 years from now?

Mediabase 24/7 does not measure non-commercial stations…
