Report: Sheree Whitfield off ‘Real Housewives’?
Mediatakeout, which is often right but sometimes wrong, reports that Sheree Whitfield has been booted off “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” citing no concrete sources.
The Bravo publicist artfully dodged the question when I sent her an email asking her whether Sheree is gone:
hey rodney. bravo hasn’t made any decisions about season three yet. feel free to circle back and hopefully soon i’ll have more info for ya
I’ve sent emails or text messages to Lisa Wu Hartwell, Sheree herself and Kim Zolciak and have not heard anything yet. I’ll update this if I get any responses at all.
I’ve heard similar rumors and facetiously gave the greatest odds that Sheree would be out a couple of weeks ago (2-1). In an unscientific blog poll of more than 3,300 people, 29% wanted NeNe out, 26% wanted Sheree out. Kim got 19% of the votes while Lisa got 16%. Kandi was the most popular, with just 10% wanting her gone.
Bravo has not officially renewed the show but given its strong ratings, there’s 100% chance the show will return in 2010.

Oh, No! I love Sheree! Get rid of Black Sasquash, NeNe. She was fun on season 1 but tried to be all proper (deghettofy herself)last season and it did not work. She was trying too hard and it seemed unnatural.

Good! I hope the show is cancelled as I am personally sick of everyone in the city dogging the ladies and calling them sluts, tramps and ghetto trash. Rodney Ho you gave racist people a voice to marginalize others and make assumptions of people who they don’t know or never met. If you didn’t watch the show OK, but most tuned in just to have an opportunity to post a nasty coment on this blog. Atlanta wake up we have a serious diversity problem such a shame…

Why is there no show with a real Black housewifes. I agree with those who say a “housewife” means married. But from what I saw during her recent television promotionals I liked Kandi the most because she appears to be the woman who has a real career and is not trying to impress with how much she spent on something. Sometimes I think NeNe used to be a man.

Who cares. The show was stupid. Bravo needs to pick up a real show, like “The Game”. The show was dropped by CW and BET picked up the re-runs and now The Game is looking for a new station to show case them in 2010.

Sheree has a record as long as my arm, mostly for theft. Late last year she bounced a check for a whopping $300, so don’t expect her to go off the show anytime soon. Unless she is getting some free money out of Obama’s “stash.”

Sheree frankly is indifferent about returning to the show. She really wants to be respected as a REAL fashion designer and hanging on to the DRAMA-FILLED show will only hurt her in the fashion industry. She is finally getting some recognition for her line (being a presenter at NY Fashion Week) and wants to capitalize on the moderate success she is having.

Sheree is a legend in her own mind. Her head is so big, I’m surprised they could fit it all in the camera frame. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone so delussional about their own importance, beauty and sophistication, all of which she has limited quantities. Poor half-witted woman…even her divorce judge ruled her “unintelligent”. She really needs to take some of her earnings and pursue a real education at a real institution of higher learning. Seriously!

I didn’t have any favorties on the recent season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. I thought that if Bravo was going to let any of them go, then it should have been Kim. Kim is a disgrace, and especially so when it comes to young girls and young women who watch the show. Sleeping with a married man and being proud of it is not cool. Kim was wrong for that and so was the married man. That is not a situation that I would knowingly tell people about. It is not okay to air dirty laundry, nor is it ladylike.
Why would Bravo boot Sheree? She may not be a favorite to everyone, but at least she is trying to be sucessful with her fashion line and is not focused on dating sorry men. I think the She by Sheree line will do well. I just think that the show needs a makeover as far as getting more women on the show that represent excellence. As with all social issues, I look at the messages that the show sends to our youth and what they must be thinking. The only woman on the RHoA that anyone should look up to would probably be Lisa. She seems like such a sweet, respectful lady with a solid marriage, or so we think; she is also smart and stands on her own two feet while holding her on ground. The rest of the women seemingly exercise poor judgment, but I wish everyone well.
