Princess Banton-Lofters, who cast “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” is producing and casting a new project focused on men in Atlanta, according to Broadcasting and Cable.

It’s tentatively titled “Boys Club: ATL” and will be set here.

Banton-Lofters is working with Evolution Media, which produces “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and TruTV’s “Ocean Force.”

“We’d obviously admired from afar what Princess did with The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and when she approached us with this idea, it was a slam dunk” said Evolution President Douglas Ross. “Men’s lives are as dramatic and interesting as their female counterparts.’”

The story was a bit too vague for me to get a sense what the show would actually be like. Plus, what network might be interested in this type of show? Fox Reality (a network on its death bed) had a show called ‘Househusbands of Hollywood,” which was mildly amusing.

Then again, this may not be as painful as that new Omarosa reality show in which she is seeking a mate. TV One is picking this baby up. Heck, if Ray J, Antonio Sabato and Bret Michaels can do it, why not Omarosa?

Is this where our society is? Is this the type of thing that our younger kids have to look forward to as they get older? All this trash on television and I guess all idiots have a price. Just what the world need; more idiots acting crazy for the deprecition value of a dollar….

There are enough high powered brothers in Atl to due this. From the dl bruhs to the professionals I could be done well, even NENE would play a good role she has manish ways….

This is all part of the dumbing down in America. We deserve better. While mindless entertainment is sometimes okay…this is borderline overkill. I’m sure it will be successful and interesting. But no value whatsoever.

These shows cost nothing to make and if it fails they can just come up with a (slightly) new premise. If they succeed they can make a fortune. It’s sad, but when you have 200 channels fighting for advertising dollars, then they will do ANYTHING

Yeah, go down to the Atlanta jail or the worst part of the city and you could find better people then the “ATL Housewives.”

Instead of doing this crapload of BS, show the men of Middle Class families…. they are the real men. Men that actually have to work for a living and support their families. You’d be suprised at what you find. Everyone knows how mindless the housewives, etc. are. Show the real stuff!

Gay men are the only men with any style anyway, so yes, it should be about gay men in Atlanta! Bravo! (no pun intended)

Do what I did, tell Comcast to take a hike and DO NOT get a digital converter so you have NO TV. Try reading a book or listen to music or God forbid we actually talk with our spouses and family.

Join the revolt!!! NO TV NO TV NO TV!!!!!

Gay men would be more fun to watch, but straight men are just as dramatic in different ways. So don’t try to pin drama on gay guys. Geesh.

BRAVO if you are listening, call it the “Real Queens of Atlanta”. There would be more drama in the first 15 min than the whole season of RHOA. Episode 1, take 1: Get a bunch of gay guys together at a local gay bar nearby and watch the circus begin!! Drama, tragedy, embarrassment, lies, cat fights all rolled into one.

If it’s going to be Gay based….” Go Mary ” might be the correct tag line.

I wonder if they have a male version of Kim if the reaction will be the same? Instead of being called a “slut” will he be cheered on for his conquest?

In conclusion, the men of Atlanta are not looking for spotlight. Real men stay married, and prepare their children for a future. Not abonded them to gangs to the street. I forget this is Atlanta…oh wait.

I’m not wanting to see a reality show featuring the men in Atlanta, there are too many gay men there and what real purpose will it serve. I mean are they going to act and look like Dwight (Real Housewives of Atlanta) he was a mess to watch and an embarrassment to the gay community, he was riding on the coat tails of NeNe to gain his celebrity status. I wish she would’ve NEVER brought him into the mix, he’s catty, fake and a waste of air time showing him.

He claimed to be the “GO TO GUY”, what a joke, Sheree’s fashion show didn’t need him at all, he HE knew everything about nothing. With all of that over the top jewelry and those fur shorts he added on the runway, how tacky! He needs to stay in his lane and do hair if that’s his specialty, I couldn’t stand to watch him, he was worse than NeNe and Kim with all of their drama. He looked like a walking corspe with that horrible nose job. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not against gay people at all I have some gay family members and we get along great!

I just don’t want to see a reality show full of gay over the top men acting like women. I’m not saying this is what you’re going to be in search of for the “Boys Club”. But I wasn’t a fan of Househusbands of Hollywood, I feel like they were being demasculated as they have stated themselves for not being able to be the breadwinners in their families, while their wives or girlfriends worked. I don’t speak for the majority people, I speak for myself…I’m over all this reality show hoopla basically.

And let’s guess – all of the Atlanta men will be black, with no other ethnic diversity, listen to Rap, and have tons of jewelry around their neck. It would be more interesting if they did a reality show taped in Shirley Franklin’s house showing her ex being jailed for selling drugs, her kids hanging out with iffy crowds, and her clerical errors that put us in the state we’re in now. As it is, it’ll just be another ghetto representation of Atlanta.

Not so shocked!

No, no, no, a hundred times NO! People, we can’t stand another show with no purpose. Haven’t they embarrassed us enough already? I have a great idea, why don’t they put the lives of the producers on blast and then we will see how and why they would come up with such pointless shows.

Bravo could not do a show about Real Husbands of Atlanta. The men would all be working. Unlike the Real Housewives who do nothing but b and moan about shopping.

The show will just follow around thugs who think they are wannabe rappers. That’s apparently all that lives in Atlanta according to this douche bags that run cable networks. No need to show any white, Asian, Hispanic, or any other of the several ethnic backgrounds we have in this town. But no it will be guys who look like lil Wayne and act like they have a 8th grade education.

So you want a show about straight white guys sitting around? That should be really entertaining.

There’s nothing wrong with reality shows; because we see real life drama everyday. Reality shows let us get a sense of what goes on in other people worlds behind closed doors sometimes. I like the humor that plays out in the reality shows!
Does not matter how much money some of us have; shows we are the same at the end of the day, which is keeping it real and true to ourselves. “My Sentiments”

how about the real original gangsters of atlanta featuring shirley franklin and her children, maynard jackson’s kids, and dexter king. Dexter wants to be a star, so here is his chance.
What a waste of time.

Not every man in Atlanta is Gay. RHOA was not a representation of Men from Atl.
