‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season two finale recap: all choked up

Too bad Bravo missed taping the choking incident between NeNe and Kim at Atlantic Station we reported a few weeks back. Kim filed a police report but never followed up and pursued charges. They argued over NeNe not being on the song “Tardy for the Party.”
NeNe claims Kim wagged her finger in NeNe’s face and then slapped her with her hand. Kim says NeNe responded by choking her. NeNe admitted she may have gotten physical (”I went bananas!”) but never used the word “choking.” “When she hit me, my instinct was to protect myself,” NeNe added.
“You don’t hit NeNe Leakes,” said NeNe, in third person. “When people betray me, I instantly go off. I think betrayal is wrong. Just tell me what the deal is.” (Somehow, NeNe defines the fact she’s not on this silly little song as “betrayal.”)
“She’s lucky she’s not in jail,” Kim said. “She choked me.” When Kandi said why didn’t she pull away, Kim said she couldn’t because NeNe is a [expletive] “moose.”
“Kim has a personaltiy disorder. I’m not even a [expletive] doctor. I’ve already diagnosed it!”
With no camera proof, this was truly a “she said, she said” situation.
The pair try to hash things out later on camera, but neither person was willing to apologize. Kim denied she ever touched NeNe. NeNe felt she was provoked. The friendship appears to be irrevocably broken. “Have a nice life,” Kim said.
“I’d rather clip my toenails one by one…than be friends with Kim,” NeNe said.
Otherwise, the show focused on Sheree Whitfield’s fashion show, which ended up working out fairly smoothly (whether you like her fashion or not.). I attended the show and saw no drama and apparently, there wasn’t much. Kim avoided NeNe and all was good. I loved Lisa Wu Hartwell’s quote comparing her fashion show with that of Sheree’s and how they matched their personalities. “Mine was artsy,” she noted. “Her’s was stuffy and cold.”
We also have learned over the summer that Lisa and her hubby Ed “downsized” to a Chateau Elan nine-acre property Ed had lived in before. “I want to stay wealthy,” Lisa said. “You don’t want to live beyond your means. It’s very selfish.”
And in the most touching (in retrospect) moment, Kandi’s mom Joyce finally reconciles with AJ on Mother’s Day.
“You do your best to make things happy,” Joyce told AJ. “You’re the best for Kandi and Riley [Kandi's daughter] and your kids. You seem to make her happy. That’s all I want.”
When AJ told Kandi, she seemed visibly relieved. “That was a major step,” Kandi said. “We can have some peace around here. We can breathe!” Then she hugs him.
But AJ and Kandi do end up breaking up a few weeks after taping ended in June. Then AJ’s death earlier this month. Very sad.
There was also a rare on-air disgreement between NeNe and her hubby Gregg. Being protective, he did not approve of NeNe meeting with her possible biological father Alan from last week’s episode. She feels he is not supportive and gets angry, that he does not understand her need to know who her father is. (The post-show summary of what they’ve done since the taping ending indicates NeNe has not followed up on the paternity situation.)
As for Gregg and NeNe, Lisa said something sage: “Let time pass.” In other words, NeNe and Gregg will work it out.
NeNe also demanded an apology from Kandi for the last argument or some word that NeNe was talking bad about her (which she was.). I still have no real idea what her real beef was with Kandi besides jealousy. “She doesn’t get paid for thinking,” Kandi said. “NeNe wants to come with this drama. I don’t have time for that.”
So season two is over. But it’s not over because we have TWO reunion shows. The first part is next Thursday at 10 p.m. The taping was this past Monday.

Callingn NeNe a moose is not racist. Kim was talking about how big NeNe is. I am a black woman and calling someone names, like monkey…moose or whatever does not mean you are racist, perhaps, it could be an indicator of their level of maturity. But it does not always mean one is racist. Don’t get it twisted!!

Does anyone get the feeling Kandi is a favorite? What a sweetheart! Smart, talented, and so cute. LOVE the hair!
Kim is a fat cow. Picture a cow doing a headstand. The udders are the same. So dumb, delusional, and those awful wigs!! Oh my!
Lisa is cute and nie, but she didn’t have much air time.
Nene, oh Nene! Don’t be too hard on her. She has issues, but she is a good wife and mother. I would have choked Kim, too!
Sheree is so full of herself. Can you believe the gigantic picture she unveiled at her divorce party??

What I want to know is why NeNe was still talking about that song? At first she did not want to have anything to do with the song, but as soon as she heard the updated version she wanted to have something to do with it. NeNe is very sorry and I hope she is not on the next season.

Hey leave Kim alone! Anyone with a grudge against Kim for claiming to be so beautiful may have forgotten all the flack Kim took for looking like a middle-age woman season 1. I too, thought she looked oldest of the Atlanta housewives. Remember when she said she was 29 y.o. and the bloggers went ballistic? Well it’s obvious, Kim has had a lifestyle lift or something. Her face is prettier she has reversed the signs of aging and it’s a good look for her. Oh her boobies are more prominent this season too, perhaps it was time to trade the old ones in. I for one, like her overall improvement and say more power to her.
Lisa needs Kim for a good deal on wigs for her mother and sister in California. Am I the only one who was shocked? I still can’t believe the bird’s nest sitting on Lisa’s mom.
LOL, SheMan’s gigantic portrait should fit easily in one of her ‘I’m from the hood’ purses she carries around. What the heck? Wherever she goes it looks like she lugs around everything but the kitchen sink. We know there’s no money in it. Who’s she kidding?
Kandi is my favorite. I really hope Bravo continues with her as a housewife (perhaps she will become one). It’s no secret KB was to be on another network reality show this season. But things have a way of working out and she’s on the right show at the right time. At any rate, where ever she goes, as her fan I will watch faithfully. That is, unless, Bravo edits Kandi’s scenes like they did NeNe this season and make me hate her.

NeNe needs to get a reality check. She sees things one way, hers, right or wrong. She is usually wrong. How these people can be friends with her is beyond me. NeNe-get over yourself. You really are not as special as you think you are. You think being louder than others makes you right?

Why do many people assume that being loud and in your face is being REAL? I think that NENe’s in your face attitude is a defense mechanism, which allows her to mask her true feeling. What is real about that?
I am shocked at the hate spewed at Kim because of her involvement with a married man. Who are all the saints? The allegations of racism are untrue and unnecessary.
I have frankly seen nothing to match the craziness of NJ housewife,Teresa. who overturned a table at a dinner party. She is one dim wit whom I hope to never see again.

I agree the loud in your face attitude is a defense mechanism.
However, kickin’ it w/ a married mad is wrong. Not that we think we are saints, but damn, he’s married….spoken for. Why would anyone want to short change themself like that. He entered into a commited relationship w/ someone else. How much can he do for you??
Not only that, if he cheats on his wife, you know he’s gonna cheat on you. And what goes around comes around. Hell I don’t want to fall in love w/ a married man — get serious w/ him and then get my heart broken!! Who wants to give a man his cake, ice cream, chips, cookies, puddy, and so on…

I really liked the sow. I do think that NeNe has a little to much drama. Sheree is very jealous. Maybe its because her husband left her. Kim I think is cool. The only thing about her is that honey you should know better than messing with a married man. Lisa I like her to I think that you have a really nice family and I think you rock. Kandi I love you. You are the S***. Sorry about your lost and you and your family are in my prayers. I think that you and Lisa need to seperate youselves from this drama. I think you and go further without the drama. I think the show is entertaining, and we could see another episode. It is what it is and getting the ratings. NeNe says Bravo portrayed her wrongly. I think she did a great job of making herself look bad. Her honestly is downright mean. Keeping it real can be positive, not negative. Her insecurity with Kandi was so evident. She couldn’t even explain why she didn’t like the new kid on the block. I do agree that they could use more positive women that are doing great things in Atlanta and not always focusing on the frivolous things like fashion shows and petty hair pulling. It was truly ugly to see drunk women walking down the street. I was happy that Kandi helped Kim to shine. Lisa is a go getter and that is down to earth honesty.

i feel that nene is the main one with all the drama. it seems that she is always the main one who’s apart of the drama. also its funny how she can say that kandi is ghetto but have he looked at herself during the show. i know children and teenagers who can get along better than you all can. and i feel sorry for Dwight for being apart of all the drama.

NeNe does not keep it real. NeNe is spitful, mean, and self center.
Keeping it real does not mean hurting others because they disagree with you. Keeping it real does not mean saying or writing about other, with the intent to hurt them because one disagrees with you.
Keeping it real is telling others the truth with the intent to help the person grow/change improper behavior. Giving them sencere compliment, and so on—

@Stephanie: a police report was filed by Kim against NeNe and two witnessess also said that NeNe choked Kim. Kim is about 10 sizes smaller than NeNe…we all watched as Kim did NOTHING when She-Devil and Moose attacked her in front of FAB..NeNe on the other hand is always on the attack when someone goes against her. Sorry but Kim ain’t lying when she said the Moose busted loose all over her. LMAO @ NeNe telling Khandi “you owe me an apology”. Heffa, sit down and shut up, nobody owes you anything.

I would just like to say that my condlences go out to you and your family Khandi. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love. I have been there myself. You are on my prayers. I’m going to say one thing, when you truly love someone it should not matter what others think. Because when you are really happy and blessed nothing should be ablr to change that ever wether it’s your parents, sister, brother or even friend. Jealousy can hurt people, and that is what some people do not understand. We all need to grow up as adults and act like one too. NeNe reminds me of my stepmother and that is sad situation buddy.
