The first two axed from ‘Dancing With the Stars’

The first guy cut tonight on the double elimination of “Dancing With the Stars” was no surprise: the dullish Ashley Hamilton. Sorry, George. He may have your good looks but not your charisma.

I figured either Kathy Ireland (pretty but stiff) and Debi Mazar (mediocre, forgettable) would go. But instead, it was Macy Gray (awful dancer, kinda weird). I figured the eccentricity could help her skate through this week but I was wrong.

Funny bits tonight with the “Loser’s Club” and Adam Corolla’s “pep talk.” And anybody who loves “Dirty Dancing” had a lump in their throat watching the dance dedication to the late great Patrick Swayze.

I am so glad Macy went!! And the hamilton lad. Macy was painful to watch, almost drugged appearing. It was like watching a big fat snail/slug trying to inch her way up a tree. What is wrong with that woman??

I agree, Clearly the woman who left put little or no effort into understanding what means to
be a Ballroom dancer. Her mega hit and tour, didn’t allow her the time to get to know
Ballroom dancing. much less train, I really don’t think she wanted to be there, but
rather somjeone on her her “Label” arranged the selection. One can’t help but feel
sorry for her dance Instructor, who said, he was knocked early last season, with a
bad draw, got the boot again.

Maybe the producter’s of Dancing with the stars, feel they had to balence to a
racial quota, or something.. they could have easily found other female Black
women who could easily challege the feild better vthan this one..

Now about the Guy, Nice Charming, and two left feet, dude, stay in the movies or
TV serie’s, just don’t Dance without a good effects, and doubles ! A name got you
in the door, but your feet, and most likly more, got you out the door hardly before
you got your first blister !

America sure got it right this week. The hamilton guy was horrible and Macy was undescribable-very weird!

I wish they would cut Tom DeLay. He is NOT a nice person and it sours the tone of the program having him in the group. Hamilton may be a lousy dancer, but at least he’s not a thug.

Leave Macy alone!

Enter your comments here – Isn’t the object of this show is to watch the improvement over the weeks? And still, in the end, it doesn’t always produce the best dancer, and that has certainly been the truthful truth.

What? We have your IP Net address……talk to you soon. Now talk about Dancing w/the Stars and get over who is in the White House….live with it, America has spoken.

Sounds like Honore just doesn’t believe that conservatives have any fun. Sorry, didn’t realize that entertainment was confined to liberal jerks.

Dancing with the Stars … is all about stars that have never danced before being put through the ringer to get their 2 left feet working in sync so that they look somewhat graceful on the dance floor… Macy was great, here was a singer who said herself that she could not dance at all and its a shame she was booted off. I for one would have loved to have seen her grow as a dancer. It is much harder to become a dancer when you have no dance background than say a person that has had tap dancing, ballet lessons in their repertoire…. I love to see these stars that seem to be clomping around a dance floor in the beginning grow into graceful swans… That in my eyes is what dancing with the stars is all about.
If you want to see dancers that know what they are doing then there is another show you can watch and that is “So you think you can Dance” On there you wont find anyone like Macy or Ashley Hamilton..
Macy i am sorry you were voted off… i was soo hoping you would get to stay.. :)

I haven’t seen the show yet, but I know that Mya is a trained dancer. She tap dances really well. Is that not a violation of any show rules?

I give credit to anyone attempting to try this. With that said, America got it right and both Macy and Ashley needed to go. It was painful to watch Macy. I thought the judges were very kind in their comments to her

Macy looked like she did NOT want to be there — I can hardly blame her — she knew what she could and could not do — whoever put her in there needs to be ashamed for doing that to a really nice entertainer but just not a dancer! As for Ashley, he should know he can’t do what all his Daddy has done — let alone become a dancer in a few weeks time — maybe when he grows up he can do better — afterall, his Daddy got more famous as he got older! Ain’t I a mean thing???

NA, the woman last year was a ballet dancer and got all the way to the final round. Did you complain then? Mya acknowledged that she was a tap dancer but said it was every different from ballroom. As far a Macy goes, she didn’t look like she wanted to be there. A genuine smile once in a while might have helped her.

At least Macy got recognition (didn’t know who she was before her performance on this show); even though she was not a very talented dancer. Not everyone can dance that well and just because one can sing, act or is an athlete DOESN’T give them the skill to also become a dancer or put forth the hard work and dedication to become good or great. It looks like WAY TOO MUCH training involved for a few minutes of glory on television for most or our overweight and lax society!

I find it interesting that the producers were able to find the only two black people in America with no natural rhythem — Michael Irvin and Macy Gray. I give Macy props for putting forth a good effort given her admitted inability to dance and her busy work schedule. We will see if Michael can progress to meet his goal of being better than Jerry Rice. Good luck!!

How does race get in every discussion on the site? This is more than proof that superior thinking people have some serious issues to address with themselves. Get over the fact that the President doesn’t look like you. Get over it! Now, back to DWTS.

What is right
the thugs are still in Washington.\
Maybe that should have got sourpuss Pelosi and prune faced Reid to dance, at least that would have helped save America if they were busy doing something else.
it’s going to be Ozzy’s girl and Marie’s brother.

Macy doesn’t seem very feminine in general; is that just her schtick, or what’s the deal? She seems dull/lifeless.

I hate that Edyta’s parnter was voted off. I like Edyta; she deserves to win sometime. I LOVE Mark Ballas; he is SOOO sexy and seems to be a nice guy.

I love DWTS, but I really don’t have any person I’m routing for this year. Maybe Mya or even Kelly Osbourne. What a treat to see her act like she’s got some sense, dress in a very feminine way (finally!) and seemingly isn’t strung out on something.

I understand Tom Delay said he had to let his “feminine” side out. Boy! Did he ever! Some of the rehersals had him dropping him wrist like he was in a drag show. If nothing else it made the rest of the male dancers finally look masculine.

“I wish they would cut Tom DeLay. He is NOT a nice person and it sours the tone of the program having him in the group”

I’ll start watching it again when Tom DeLay is gone. He is a criminal and a very nasty person. Dancing is supposed to be fun. Not with someone like him.
