Great post, Rodney. Now put your radio hat back on and compare WSB 750's coverage of the weather and traffic Monday to WGST 640 and WGKA 920. From what I could tell 640 did not do anything out of the ordinary Monday morning or evening, while WGKA did some special reporting in the morning but not in the evening.
As a resident of Gwinnett that uses Ronald Reagan Parkway, my commute Monday evening was a horror, and I need to vent a bit on WSB. It took two hours to get from 85 and Pleasant Hill to RRP and I did not hear on 750 for any of the first hour that RRP was closed at Pleasant Hill, when clearly it had to have been closed for a while for traffic to have gotten that bad. Finally, a caller to Mark Arum's show mentioned it, and it was in some folowing reports.
Which also brings up the need in NE Metro (population 1-million or so) for a local AM or FM news-talker. WSB tries to cover the whole metro area and it seems is spread too thin.
