Kim Zolciak, with her dance song “Tardy for the Party” out, is on major promotional mode, hitting Q100 this morning and promoting a party tonight at Blake’s in Midtown at 10 p.m. to midnight. It’s free. Come on by if you want to meet her.
She won’t be singing the song live. She won’t say when she’ll dare do that.
Her song (which is produced by fellow “Housewife” Kandi Burruss and takes full advantage of Auto Tune) is ranked at No. 12 on iTunes’ dance chart. Of course, iTunes does not say how many actual sales that equates to since the dance category is not one of the bigger ones.
The Bert Show had fun goofing on Kim’s reconciliation with Jonathan Jaxson, her on-again-off-again-on-again publicist. He sued her earlier this year for non payment but now they’ve kissed and made up. Q100 played a clip of him throwing out all sorts of allegations against Kim, including “Big Poppa” Lee Najjarand her stripper past.
Kim also continued to insult Amanda Brown Heckert, who wrote a cover story for Atlanta magazine about the show, even though Kim admitted to only reading a part of it.
She equated the story to be tabloid like. She expected a puff piece from a hometown magazine and didn’t get it. She said Atlanta magazine was using them to sell magazines. “If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say it,” she said. “Can’t you focus on the positive? We work really hard.” Then she proceeds to say, “Who is this lunatic who wrote this? Her opinion sucks!”
So much for positive.
Heckert called in and Kim said to her, “It’s degrading and humiliating. You should keep your opinions to yourself. Maybe you need nicotine and boobs yourself.”
Then Kim said Heckert should have written about the wigs and song. In fact, Heckert did. Oops. Kim just hadn’t read it.
Of course, all her complaining has given the story more publicity than it otherwise would have gotten. And the pictures sure were pretty.
Irony or irony, Kim loves to say she tries to swat away “negative energy” and doesn’t have time for it. Yet she seems inexorably attracted to said drama.
And after saying she was going to file charges against NeNe for choking her, Kim has chosen not to. NeNe claims Kim attacked her first and it was self defense. Kim said there were witnesses that NeNe went after her first. It now sounds like we’ll never know for sure. “We have moved on,” she said.
