Pathological lying 101: Real Housewives of Atlanta recap, season two, episode two
There was no table flipping like “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” but Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield got into a heated, um, discussion at the end of episode two that almost matched the heat between Sheree and that so-called party planner in episode one.
Two weeks, two blowups. Bravo must be in high heaven!
NeNe Leakes is still trying to resolve issues with Kim so they meet up. Kim is suspicious at first and only wants to meet with Kim. At the dinner, they get drunk, kiss and make up over NeNe’s mockery of Kim’s singing last season. Kim chalks up the problems with a lack of communication on both part. So at this point, they are buddy buddy again but we know that won’t last.
NeNe convinces Kim to meet with Sheree, too (but not Lisa, because Kim felt Lisa questioned her integrity over her “cancer” scare during the first season reunion.).
Although Kim jokingly wears a helmet at the beginning of the meal as a joke, she gets defensive fast. NeNe says she wasn’t happy that Kim talked about her husband Gregg being broke. “That’s an insult to me,” NeNe said. Then Sheree said she heard Kim say Sheree put up the news that Gregg was broke. “You told me that NeNe only rented the house,” Kim said. Sheree said no. “How would I know she rented the house?” Sheree said.
Then things go downhill fast as Kim and Sheree get angry with each other, hurling curse words. “You’re a xxxing liar,” Kim said. Then Kim denies ever saying to Sheree Gregg is broke. NeNe said Kim told her about Sheree bouncing checks.
“Kim is a pathological liar,” Sheree said.
Who’s the liar? “I don’t know who to believe,” NeNe says to the camera.
After Sheree calls her “trailer trash,” Kim stalks out of the restaurant. NeNe and Sheree follow her out. Then the “to be continued” sign comes up. The altercation in the street gets played out next week.
The storylines for Lisa Wu Hartwell and Kandi Burruss were not connected with this drama.
Lisa’s hubby Ed is working her hard to have a baby. He cooks for her, does a massage, gives her the most bubbly bubble bath ever (heck, this is Bravo, not Showtime.). They even meet a fertility doctor Dr. Tressa Scineaux at Alpharetta Women’s Specialists. Ed is not worried: “I had a talk with soldiers and they’re ready to go to war.”
Kandi is battling her mom over A.J., her fiance with six kids. Her mother does not want her to marry him because of those children. Kandi is not happy with her mom’s disapproval and cries. We also see her working a song out about her issues with music producer Jazze Pha. She shows her vocal chops, her riffing skills and her songwriting ability. Her Grammy the producers place behind her during her confessionals was well earned.
Local restaurants featured tonight: Rosa Mexicana in Atlantic Station. Last year, the restaurant featured Kim and Dallas Austin. Kim insulted the guacamole because she had never seen it made with a stone before and thought it was unsanitary. This time, Sheree calls the guacamole “awesome.” Was that a way to make up for Kim?
Kim and NeNe reconcile at Cinco Mexicana Cantina in Suwanee.
There’s also a brief bit where Lisa and NeNe dish about Kim at Sia’s in Duluth.

It was definitely interesting and made for a great conversation on Twitter (search for #RHOA). Kandi’s story was most memorable for me and I don’t think her mother is concerned about the fact that AJ has so many kids. The real deal breaker is the fact that he has 6 children with 4 different baby mamas (as Kandi’s mother points out). That along with the fact that not even Kandi can explain what he does for work would be enough red flags for me. Her best explanation was that he has “a lot of different businesses going on.” Hmm…

I absolutely adore Kandi. Yes, Lisa was a successful R.E. agent, but what have Kim, NeNe or Sheree really ever done? Kandi’s success is well-deserved. She’s obviously extremely talented and genuine. Honestly, Kandi is too good for the show.
If I ever were to meet her I’d plead with her to let me be her “gay white husband”. (Every woman needs one.)

Lisa is a fake. She married a man after knowing him a few weeks, got pregnant shortly thereafter and is setting up for her retirement plan. Missed out on Keith Sweats child support since he has custody of their kids. Ed is an idiot and will pay for it when his NFL money is burned through.

think Kandi should not subject herself to being on the show with such ignorance. I’ve watched this show several times hoping that it would get better however; they never fail to show how ignorant they really are. They really embarrass real housewives period. Real housewives do not have time for the drama and BS. Look at the real society page in Atlanta and trust me you will not find Lisa, NeNe, Sheree, and Kim however; Kandi has class and has represented herself well so you might see a picture of her. These ladies need to go somewhere and sit down and stop embarrassing black women! They will never get an invite to the Oprah Show!

I only started watching the last few weeks and i AM TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN ITS DISPECTION OF ATLANTA WOMEN. MOST IMPORTANTLY THEY ARE A POOR EXAMPLE FOR YOUNG GIRLS. All of these women appear to be no more than low class and I am not saying that because of their previous economic status. I am Black and I grew up in a major inner city area. My mother taught us manners, proper behavior in public and what one does and does not do. The fight in the restaurant was totally uncalled for and just a sign of how they, and many others of their generation, only care about themselves. Only one has her own money or independent career. They all appear to be a bunch of wannabees. All of these women are the perfect examples of GHETTO RICH. Those of us who live in Atlanta know that homes here are different. Kim’s condo doesn’t appear to be super it. None of them have any style or class. Like many here they only want to tell you what they have and what they paid for it. Perhaps I am old fashion but I just think this show should be called SLUTS OF ATLANTA.

PS The only reason I watched the show is because there was nothing else on and I wanted to form mhy own opinion I HAVE WATCHED 3 SHOWS ABD THAT WAS ENOUGH. I thik I will just go back to listening to my CDs. Hopefully this and the majority of reality shows will disappear soon.

I decided to go to Burger King for breakfast. I really had a tatse for a HAM sandwich, some hash browns and a cup of joe.
But then I decided that I wanted a Coke instead of some coffee. So, you know what, I went for the gusto and ordered a Coke with very lite ice.
I don’t like a lot of ice in my soft drinks. Just a little chill to my pop and I’m good to go.
Anyways, I’m gonna take a bite out of my sandwich know because it smells so good. Oh, wait order two sandwiches, so I’m good.

Yes, these women, sadly, do represent a HUGE portion of Atlanta. Bravo is exploiting the ghetto ignorance of this pile of trash for ratings and money and these stupid horsehair wearing project dwellers are too stupid to realize they’re being used. Hopefully when one of them illegally crosses Buford Hwy the next time they’re out shoplifiting knock off handbags, they’ll get hit by a truck and the show will be put to sleep. There is another element to Atlanta but you’d never know it by these fools.

Mission Accomplished- All you harsh critics are watching it enough to comment on it. If it was “Real Conservatives of Atlanta” you wouldn’t have to worry about “Native Georgian” watching it or commenting on it. WATCHING THE SHOW IS YOUR CHOICE ALONE.
Also, be real people, it’s ONLY about the ratings. Would you tune in and comment so passionately about “Real Teachers of Atlanta?” Don’t think so.
I’m a male and I like the entertainment value of it. I don’t think all Atlanta women are this way. That’s narrow thinking. These are 5 women and parts of their life. Period. Point blank. (It doesn’t hurt that they’re easy on the eyes either!)

This show is a disgrace to the city of Atlanta. Nothing more than a bunch of ghetto queens. Who wants to take a bet that both NeNe and Sheree’s home are being rented for this season. Neither one have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out. Sheree did get one thing right. Kim is trailer trash. I do find it funny that they mention that NeNe’s home was rented last year. That is not new news for anyone. They were evicted.
Sadly many watching this show will think that Atlanta is nothing but a bunch of ghetto trash living here. This show does not represent what Atlanta is all about.

In a city full of intelligent, productive and beautiful women, how did these women get chosen to represent Atlanta? If this show truly reflects the lives of these women, how sad and pathetic. I’ll stick to PTA meetings and catching up with friends at Starbuck’s. It’s so nice to know that I will be having dinner with a group of women tonight and the chances that there will be a screaming episode between anyone doesn’t exist.

I think these women in their core, will stick together. But, their emotional immaturity is all we see. They have no impulse control, no boundaries. It is sad that in order for black people to be on television in entertainment capacities, that we have to play to stereotypes and extremes and show ourselves at our worst.
White America can afford to have the real house wives of Orange County or New Jersey because they have other images which are not as low budget to balance out the equation.

I think the show is great entertainment! Don’t hate on Kim because she’s the flyest chick on the show. She keeps the show interesting…. even if she’s a liar!
Sheree is a fake, two faced troublemaker, and her ‘character’ is distorted. Why is she on the show?
And as far Kandy, the lovin’ must be the good-good because she is obviously strung-the-phuck out, so much so that it brings her to tears when she think about losing it, unbelievable!
Ne-ne is da’ bomb and has really matured and Lisa is a gangster. Big-ups to them both.
I will continue to watch the show EVERY Thursday and I look forward to more entertainment from the Atlanta ‘drama’ Queens!

Tired of the back and forth with NeNe, Kim, and Sheree with who lied to who…all of them were talking about each other last season. Sheree is more ghetto than ever this season…somewhat of a change…I wonder if it’s scripted. Lisa acts ok, but I was disappointed with how she showed out on that reunion show last season. Kandi..wish you all the best, but I can see how your mom can be concerned…that’s alot of baby momma’s, which can be way too much drama for you.
