Real Housewives of Atlanta recap, season two, episode one
They’re baaaack. And given how much press “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” have gotten over the past eight months since the first season ended, it’s as if they’ve never left.
The highlight of this first episode is not drama between the five housewives. No, it’s between Sheree Whitfield and her party promoter Anthony.
At first, things are hunky dory as he pitches her a concept for her post-divorce “independence party.” He wants it to be themed around Hollywood and Cleopatra. Somehow he makes this sound like it’s original.
Sheree tells him she wants something “grand, grand grand” for her independence party. “The party is all about me,” she said. But of course. Question: Who’s paying for this? Who knows?
But later, Anthony gets annoyed when Sheree starts asking her questions. They meet face to face and it gets ugly fast. She feels out of the loop. He becomes defensive. Then they start yelling.
She also portrayed her ex husband Bob as evil for not paying child support for 19 months and stopping mortgage payments without telling her. Her home was in foreclosure, forcing her to move in a new place. Bob has stayed studiously quiet about all this so we get only her side of the story.
NeNe Leakes is in a forgiving mood. She first reconciles with Sheree. The pair had a falling out last year over a missing party invite.
NeNe also wants to bury the hatchet with Kim Zolciak at a birthday party for “Reno 911″ Niecy Nash. (”Who’s birthday?” Sheree asked.) But Kim avoids NeNe though Kim claims she was really avoiding Lisa Wu Hartwell, who was with NeNe. It’s just like high school!
Kim sees her psychic again. She has been spending money on this gal for seven years. She says she broke up, saying it’s been “rough.” “There was some betrayal. He was talking to people he shouldn’t be talking to behind his back,” she said. Yes, typical drama when it comes to Kim. She denies that she lied about Lisa. She’s still hurt about NeNe and her mocking Kim’s singing abilities. “I do care about her? Am I ready to have a glass of wine with NeNe? I don’t know.”
She is starting her own wig line and goes to a school to learn about wigs. But she has no attention span and gets bored. She said she needed money now that she was no longer with “Big Poppa.” I suspect it’s much easier for her to find another Sugar Daddy than actually work, though.
Kim’s gossip mongering is peeving NeNe, Lisa and Sheree. And all three believe she won’t apologize.
In other “Housewives” news, Ed is ready to have Child No. 2 and Lisa is a bit apprehensive. “I’m 38 and the clock is ticking,” she said.
Fifteen minutes in, newbie Kandi Burruss pops up for the first time as a friend of Lisa’s. She introduces herself as a financially secure singer-songwriter, a single mom and ready to marry a dude with six kids. There is no sign of what may come later in terms of her falling out with NeNe.

Am not liking the new housewife at all. Surely there had to be a real housewife somewhere in Atlanta, but instead they picked a washed up has-been with 7 kids who isn’t even married and no personality to boot.

To all you Nene fans, although she doesn’t come across one she is a real stuck up bitch. I went to the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans over the 4th of July weekend. As I checked into the Hilton Riverside hotel, I got to the counter and Nene was there checking in, I walked up to the clerk next to her and she looked at me, I said “hi” and she turned her head. She looked my way again I spoke a little louder thinking maybe she didn’t hear me the first time and she still didn’t speak, I was very disappointed with Nene, she was my favorite until that exchange. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but there was no excuse for her not to speak. She was alone so I was like ok. Well, I saw her a few more times that weekend and trust me when I say she acted as if she was to good for the common folk. I was standing next to these girls who were calling her name as she was walking out of the concert, they were only trying to speak and she never looked up, she completely ignored them. I saw her at least two more times and she only talked to the stars not the people who watch the show. I also saw some other famous people however, the most stuck up of them all were Nene, Brian McKnight and Sanaa Lathan (who is super stuck up). Queen Latifah, Steve Harvey, Eric Benet, Kindred, and Idris Elba to name a few were very friendly. I just wanted to say Nene is not different from the Nene we see on the show. She is very FAKE.

Maybe now you’ve learned your lesson and you’ll get an education and a real job instead of whoring yourself out to Bravo for 40 grand. Oh wait, that’s right, according to you and your lawyer, you said you had no education and no job skills and that’s why your ex was supposed to pay an outrageous amount of alimony. OH, MY, GOD!!! That anthony dude fights just like a chick. I wonder if he is a woman dressed in a suit? All he/she needed to do was a snap and an mmm hmmm. I don’t like Sheree to begin with she is pretentious, and VERY humble now that she doesn’t live in that big house with a mortgage. But even so a man does not talk to a woman like that, ever. No matter how annoying, pretentious and fake they might be. I hope that sheman gets fired for treating a woman like that, especially a client. I think sheman thought it would be so cool to embarrass a woman on national T.V. The only thing sheman did was probably jeopardize his job, EMBARRASS the company he works for and look like a complete A.S.S.H.OLE. The company that hired this grotesque, rude and insult to human skin better look out for their clients, he’s a hotheaded wanna be diva/housewife of Atlanta.
I love NeNe she seems “real” I live in Arizona and I don’t see many African Americans but let me tell you if I hadn’t gone to college and meet some very nice African American women I would’ve thought they were all the same like Sheree, and lets face it I love NeNe and Lisa but they can be very ghetto like Sheree. Especially when pronouncing ask, not AXE or AXED me, or Fabulus, its FABULOUS. I gotta hand it to Kim though she had the smartest comment today: “I broke up with Big Papa so I need to work and make MY OWN money.” Good one Kim, I’ve always wanted to make money for other people. I guess all that shopping and living in the moment burned out your neurons and made you what you are now, a girl named Kim, that’s it…Kim maybe you can make your own money by going across the country and showcasing yourself as a warning to young women. You know that’s a calling in life too, seving as a warning to others…
This show is a FABULUS trainwreck, how low can you get, two GROWN women fighting and screaming on the street. Pulling wigs, walking like you rode a horse for a week,(sheree) did anyone catch that less than glamurus walk. Is this what Atlanta is like? If it is, then you ghetto women can KEEP your city. Nice job of ruining the image that certain developers, wink wink,(kim) have tried to clean up.

1) i don’t think the altercation with sheree was fake because she has a dry personality and i don’t see her being able to act that well
2) that man referred to her as a b*tch and was physically threatening to her and she says he actually hit her TWICE. where the hell is his mama?!

NeNe is not real. She’s just as fake as the rest of them. NeNe husband is broke! Did you not see the fox5 special o them. They were thrown out of their rental home for not paying rent. Greg owns rental property he’s not a real-estate developer. He’s being sued by several of his tenants. I feel that Khandi is the only one who is financially stable and secure along with Lisa. The rest of them are all broke wanna bees. Why does NeNe have to be so loud and ghetto all the time. I liked her the first season but this season she acts like her poop don’t stink. NeNe get a grip because you still look like he-man!

I believe that Anthony was in his feelings when Sheree came off so Fabu…he felt offended by her attitude…she was condesending towards him…she needed to be checked; however I don’t believe it should have gone to that extent. I also have a new found respect for that gold digger…where is her career…she’s waiting for a hand out from some man…I agree with one of the other comments about class…she is the first one to talk about who has class and how she’s so classy…CLASS is something you are born with …it’s an air…its an unexplained regal-none of which she has…she’s focuses on how class looks –that’s not class—either you have it or you don’t–the haves and the have not’s and she’s the latter of the two

I was really curious so I watched the show last night. Still stinks! I was saddened by Kandi’s six year old dressing like a teen-ager and acting like an adult. Let’s focus more on our children and less on a man with six children. That child acts too grown! What does this fiance do for a living? This show is a FAKE!!!!!!!!!!! Anthony the party planner is an absolute looser. He completely ruined his career in a matter of minutes. The best type of publicity is word of mouth this incident will get around very quickly. His credibility is shot and it was all done on national tv, he did it to himself. As far as how he treated Sheree very unprofessional whether he was working pro bono or not, you don’t threaten a woman especially when the the country is watching you idiot. His career is done!

Lisa—was a little boring last night. No worries, it’s the first show of the season.
NeNe—Why are you putting $15k drapes in a RENTAL home?
Kim—now that you have spent an hour at a beauty school you are qualified to manufacture and sell wigs? And what FOOL is going to bankroll this little venture for you?
Kandi—What kind of J-O-B does your man have to take care of all those damn children??? Little Riley couldn’t even remember all of their names!

I have watched all the shows and the other women are just as bad on the other shows. We have to understand if there wasn’t chaos or drama it wouldn’t be watched. I watched the HOT GHETTO MESS last night and I LOVED IT! I hate to say it but I’m liking Sheree more this season. Yes she is conceited as all get out and doesn’t have gainful employment, but Anthony or should I say Antoinette, was wrong to talk to her like that! Lisa is the fakest of ALL of them on the show. She tries to play the “nice girl” but she’s really a gold digger that has a shady past.

The show is horrible. Nene is tripping. For some reason she believes that she is an A-list celebrity. Everything she has is rented, house, car. Sheree is living in a dream world. As bad as the economy is, men are not dishing out money like they used to. You need to bring something to the table. She would be a project for a man. Kandi is cool and she can marry whom she chooses to marry. I agree that her little girl’s attire is too old for her. Lisa tries to fake like she has class. She did tell Kim that Nene was mocking her and she continues to deny it. She is a liar. Kim needsto find a job. She is not a beautiful woman. As a matter of fact, all these women except Kandi, need to wake up from their dream and find a job. The party planner should hide under a rock. I would be embarrassed to show my face in ATL. Finally, there are some very wealthy black women in Atlanta and the surrounding areas who are the essence of class. How did Bravo find these Housewives of Bankhead?

She said she had no education, blah blah blah… Kandi is living in a MODEST home and that’s why she still has some money. Her daughter seemed educated. I dont understand why she would marry that man with 6 kids. That is not looking out for her daughter. I dont know if any one of them have any real liquid cash. I heard Anthony, the event planner, on the Ricky Smiley Morning Show (based in the ATL) this morning defending himself. You know these producers never show everything…and they love ratings! Apparently, Sheree didn’t pay for anything. Anthony’s company had an arrangement with Bravo, the network, to throw the party…which went on without Sheree’s input. Heard it was a wonderful affair. Sheree supposedly came in making demands on the staff over the course of a weeks time (that they didn’t show) and had the whole staff fed up. He said he just spoke for the whole staff when he went off on her. How can you make demands on people and talk down to them when you didn’t hire them and you’re not paying for anything?!!!

PEOPLE, as a Black community, if y’all would quit watching this dribble shown as entertainment, then it would go off the air. If the ratings are good, the show will be CANCELLED which is exactly what needs to happen.
I totally agree with all the people that are stating that this is an AWFUL EXAMPLE of how Black females are all about and how they should act. It is an insult to anyone with any type of decency and/or morals.
Instead of promoting this type of show there should be boycotts and protest against the networks (especially BET which is not even owned by Blacks anymore) that peddle this TRASH!!!

I think Anthony and Sheree were both wrong for the way they spoke to one another. They both went too far, but I think people were looking at Anthony as if he was the unprofessional hired help because he wasn’t putting up with Sheree’s attitude. This was before he even began to call her names. Bravo kind of protected Sheree’s image a little in that situation. He was VERY out of line to ‘go there’ with the name calling though. Calling her and her mother names….WOW! Inexcusable.

There a lot of classy Black housewife in Atlanta, but these are the ones you choose to show (SAD). I guess GHETTO is all you want to show BLACK people exist in no matter what their income. Based on the show I would think this is how we live, but I know better. It is a shame you choose to show this to the masses who do not know better. I guess the networks will do anything for ratings. This remind me of the point they were trying to make in Hollywood Shuffle. Show Black acting shiftless and the networks will buy it. Show the way we really live and it will be put on the shelves. This show put us back 25 years. Last thought. WAKE UP!!!!!!!
