The show is based on an interracial couple. Gary is married to an African American woman and therefore has interracial children. This is what the show is based on. I think that the article did not include this tidbit, which is important. There hasn’t been anything like this on TV since Good Times. I think that it’s important to our culture since everyone is crossing outside of their race. Why not give it a chance? If it’s a hit, then good for Tyler and Gary. If not, then I’m sure that Mr. Perry will most defintely come up with something else. It’s evident that Mr. Owen has embraced the African American culture by being on BET, so give the guy a chance before you try to turn him into mush.

Gary Owen is ok at best…Tyler SHOULD have spun off PALMER WILLIAMS JR. (Floyd in the barbershop) in his OWN sitcom, NOT Gary…Palmer, you were ROBBED because i know for a FACT that Tyler PROMISED you the spinoff..Tyler, unitl you put Palmer in the sitcom he deserves you have lost a viewer…
