I hate losing Laura and I wish she would come back , I don’t watch 46 weather but I do watch cbs programming and I would PAY someone to smack that STUPID , INANE ULGY ASS morning girl in the face with a bat , to stop her from doing promos without warning , I can’t find the remote in time to get her off my tv . GOD I HATE THE MORON SILLY ASS STUPID FREAKIN UGLY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!

I have looked and looked for something about Laura for the longest time , jus now i tried a google search and this site popped up , strange no other search engine had it. Still doesn’t say where she is now.
Anyway I agree Laura was treated as unprofessional as I have ever seen.She WAS channel 46 in Atlanta.She had a comfortable presence in front of the camera witty , pretty and professional and if something went wrong like it does on live tv laura wouldn’t miss a beat and if it was her gaff she had no problem laughing at herself , that took confidence and professionalism.
Dagmar Midcap(is that a real name?) is nothing but a pretty ‘weather girl’ which would be fine if we were watching “King of the Hill”.
And LORD “annoying” is sure the way to describe that morning girl , she is usually doing anything but giving a weather forecast from what Ive seen, I tried to watch but no one could sit through an entire show that early , Stupid. something or some one definitely changed about a year or so ago around there. They are obviously not from the south , and don’t have much respect for veteran employee’s or the viewers intelligence here. Add me to the “list” of I’ll never watch again, which is a shame because CBS has most of the good programs.
I don’t know if these blogs mean anything either . obviously not much. But Laura if you should stumble across this page I hope you feel loved and Appreciated. YOU WERE!!

Seems Huckabee has been tossed to the side for a younger women. Someone mentioned Pam Martin well it seems she’s been tossed aside for a younger woman too. Don’t know that much about Huckabee but Pam Martin was da bomb in her younger years. As a young man I didn’t care about the news; I watched because Pam’s red hair turned me on to no end! Mom thought I was interested in “world affairs.”

It seems to me that 46 has either had a change in upper management or they are aiming toward a different audience.
Laura came across as having family values. At least her “on-air” personality seemed to lean in that direction. She had to go… I hated to see her go as I thoroughly enjoyed her forecast and occassionally having fun on the show. There was a time when she had to work ‘words of the day’ into her forecast. Someone who was not comfortable and confident in their ability would not be able to do such things and still present the weather in a professional yet fun manner.

I watched as Dagmar came in and they pushed Laura to nights…then weekends. It was apparent that they were attempting to frustrater her to possibly leaving on her own.

Then, Dagmar moved to nights and they hire young and naive Valdez.

They start a skit (the last time I actually sat and watched the show as a regular) with some cross-dressing idiot from a local radio show to do celebrity gossip. Come on…really? I was trying to eat breakfast! Reminded me of Arsenio Hall’s short cross-dressing scene in “Coming to America”. At least his was intended for humor.

I later happen by the show one morning and there is now a male hispanic weatherman who obviously prefers gentle-men. Who knows…maybe the V103 “gal” is his significant other.

Suddenly it is clear to me. This show is going to be primarily geared toward entertaining the gay community and is slowly moving that direction.

Mike will be next to go.

This is not intended to be anti-anything or offensive in any way.

It is simply my opinion of seeing how the show is progressing and apparently moving toward a different target audience…slowly.

I liked Mike and Tracy. Sure Mike is goofy, but I enjoyed seeing someone my age act as if they still enjoyed having fun in life.

I personally will never watch their morning show again.

I’m not sure if these blogs account for anything but I MISS Laura. I absolutely loved Laura Huckabee and she is the ONLY reason why I watch CBS news. I remember her doing the morning bit now we have that ANNOYING Jennifer or whatever her name is… doing the am weather and Dagmar doesn’t really bother me as she seems personable enough. I hate that it had to come between Laura and Dagmar -HATE that Dagmar doesn’t have an appropriate degree. What the heck is that???!!!! At any rate, I STOPPED watching CBS news. AGAIN I ONLY WATCHED FOR LAURA!!!! NOW YOU HAVE THIS ANNOYING MORNING METEOROLOGIST and I won’t comment on DAG because she seemed to have been mistreated by Tracey in the morning when she used to do the morning news before she moved to the evening. Didn’t like that at all. I could tell there was tension there. Needless to say I no longer watch CBS news. I’ve switched to ABC. CBS WAKE UP YOU’RE LOSING VIEWERS!!!!! GET LAURA BACK AT WHATEVER COST.

It is definitly Atlanta’s loss .Too bad there wasn’t an open slot on one of the other stations but they keep their people unlike 46 who seems to change with the weather ,no loyality to viewers or employee’s . Laura i don’t kow if you bother with sites like this but if you should happen to ,MANY people were sad to see you gone and quite disappointed in the way you were treated , they never even mentioned you left or thanked you like professionals would normally.
dagmar is along way from filling your shoes professionally or as a sexy , classy lady. I can’t help but notice how many times the word idiot is used to describe the morning girl, I don’t know if she is an idiot(she was smart enough to get in with the station mgr.) but she is silly and unprofessional. Good Luck Ms. Laura.

Kinda missing the point there aren’t you …She IS gone , and has been. Why doesn’t this dip that wrote this article say where she IS ? Laura was a class act and sexy as hell AND most importantly she ACTUALLY KNEW about what she was talking about and people trusted her.UNLIKE now where EVERYONE turns the channel when severe weather comes in.The Hooters girl does a fine job reading a TelePrompter and just watching those silly ass promos is enough to know not to listen to that idiot morning girl,no boobs , no talent, no experience, no personality….WTF. i miss seeing laura huckabee on atlanta tv wny does she go to wsb tv she could work on the weekends and that way there can take it easy on the guy that works on the weekend that way he would not have to work so long hours on the weekend because she is real good at her job and atlanta does not need to lose her
