So much happened on TV last night, I decided to just provide some links here.
-The Bachelor Jason Mesnick flip flopped last night, first picking Melissa on the show, then opting for Molly in the post-show, dumping Melissa on TV. Classy! There will be more about it tonight on ABC. I know Newnan’s DeAnna Pappas made a much anticipated appearance. But she did not beg him back. Rather, she told him she should have picked him in the first place, that she followed her heart and it didn’t work.
-Jimmy Fallon launched his new late-night show, replacing Conan O’Brien. He didn’t embarrass himself in his first effort.
-U2 is performing all week on Letterman to promote its new album out today.
-Instead of “The Bachelor,” I watched the two-hour “24″ last night. (I’ve long given up on “Heroes.”). It was ridiculous but fascinating, nonetheless, involving incredible amounts of dead people and a kidnapping of the President at the White House. Yes— this African dictator found a way to get into the White House. Naturally, Jack Bauer kept the prez alive but her daughter was caught. This season is far better than last one. The debate over whether Jack’s tactics are worth the greater good is getting a bit tiresome but it is the crux of this season.
-ABC’s “Life on Mars” has been nixed, according to Entertainment Weekly.
-I listened a bit to the Morning Mess this morning on Star 94. They haven’t exactly taken Atlanta by storm after a year but they used to have a daily phone prank, aired every hour at 20 minutes after the hour. “Pranks on the 20s” was the bit. I checked in at 8:20 a.m. and there was no prank. It appears to have disappeared. But they do have breakfast with Miley Cyrus at the radio studio Thursday. That should be a zoo!
-94.9/The Bull, which is no longer going to air Braves games, is planning to soon announce a new morning male host to replace Cletus T. Judd and join Kristen Gates. There’s a teaser page on the Web site.

You are wrong. Jason first picked Melissa. Then he flipped flopped and chose Molly.

do you think Warren Ballentine and Rev. Al met their demise just because of the ratings? or was it some conspiracy to dumb down radio?

I am loving Season 7 of 24. The notion of a foreign dictator(that is at war with US)taking siege of The White House is scary.
Season 7 makes up for Season 6 in which the writers got lazy and the plotline was over the place.

I too watch 24 and am excited about this season. Sounds like between 24 and The Bachelor, I made the right choice. Jack Bauer is the man!
