The Obama administration’s decision to challenge the constitutionality of Arizona’s new illegal immigration law is certain to have repercussions on the GOP side of the Republican race for Georgia.
Former congressman Nathan Deal of Gainesville is up this morning with his first 30-second spot – focusing on immigration and his promise of an Arizona-style law:
“I wrote the law to stop illegal aliens from receiving taxpayer-funded health care, cut billions in wasteful spending, and voted against Obamacare.
“And liberals won’t like it when I empower local law enforcement to help deport illegal aliens, but it must be done because the federal government has failed to secure our borders.
“And illegal aliens are costing Georgia taxpayers over a billion dollars every year. I’m not worried about the liberals. My concern is you.”
