FAU prof says Sandy Hook massacre may have been gov’t conspiracy

A cogent argument against tenure, from Florida’s Sun-Sentinel newspaper:

A communication professor known for conspiracy theories has stirred controversy at Florida Atlantic University with claims that last month’s Newtown, Conn., school shootings did not happen as reported — or may not have happened at all.

Moreover, James Tracy asserts in radio interviews and on his memoryholeblog.com. that trained “crisis actors” may have been employed by the Obama administration in an effort to shape public opinion in favor of the event’s true purpose: gun control.

“As documents relating to the Sandy Hook shooting continue to be assessed and interpreted by independent researchers, there is a growing awareness that the media coverage of the massacre of 26 children and adults was intended primarily for public consumption to further larger political ends,” writes Tracy, a tenured associate professor of media history at FAU and a former union leader.

Here’s hoping the good professor has no plans for a Connecticut vacation anytime soon.

Humans have a small ability to grasp fast change. Whenever there is a car accident or a shooting or a fire, you always find people who insist they first thought or hoped it was a movie being filmed instead of reality, despite the complete lack of any sign of a film crew. The idea that it’s some sort of fantasy is what they dearly want to believe because the actual truth is too harsh or impossible to accept, so it cannot be true. It just can’t, you know. It’s just a movie. A set. Faked. Rock stars
didn’t die, man didn’t walk on the moon, the Earth is not round, and a bunch of school kids didn’t die.
So, it is easier to believe that a school massacre was staged, despite the fact that there’s no evidence of that and despite the fact that nobody has ever staged anything like this in the history of the human race. It is impossible to accept any other answer.

Hold on guys..I am not saying this guy is right however consider this story below: liberal media will show what liberal media supports..

*On Sunday,** just 2 days after the CT school shooting, a man went to a
restaurant in San Antonio to kill his X-girlfriend. After he shot her, most
of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman
followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people. He
started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming.
It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!

*
*Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media
along with the** Connecticut school shooting? Here’s WHY!***
* *
*There was an off duty**,** county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out
her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So
since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person
with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it
never happened. Only the local media covered it. The city is giving her a
medal next week. Just thought you’d like to know.*

Look at the evidence before you condemn one as crazy, lack of interest in pursuing the truth is pervasive in our media, as much so as portraying incidents in the way which you want the public to perceive them in order to meet your goals. Mr. Galloway has made a living out of doing exactly this, yet some people take his words as the perfect truth, while others denounce them as falsehoods.
If everyone critically examined this incident at Sandy Hook, they would have questions as well; apparently, it’s easier to let the news network choose what items you should be examining and close your mind to other ideas.

Actually, I had read this same idea just a few days after the shooting. Several bloggers and websites have similar arguments…discussing the inaccuracies in the media’s coverage of the incident – two shooters that turned into one, Adam Lanza; how he gained access to the school; how at first his mother was a teacher there then she had no connection at all. Many people are trying to link the CT shooting to the one in CO. Some folks are also trying to connect both to the LIBOR scandal. So, this guy is not the first and he certainly isn’t the only one who believes that there is some type of conspiracy involved.

This guy is just one of many crazy people running around in our society. For example, @Bronc62, who posted that there was some conspiracy to hush up a story about a couple of people getting shot in San Antonio because one of the people doing the shooting was an off duty deputy. Look, any story about people getting shot is an arguement for getting rid of guns and the fact that he heard about it is proof that it wasn’t “hushed up” by some sinister conspiracy. The sad thing is that an event where only two people get shot isn’t newsworthy. It’s no big deal anymore. Of course, I’d be a crazy person if I thought that Americans would ever have their hundreds of millions of guns taken away. The cow is way too far out of the barn for that to happen.

He mentions a possible “training exercise”, With no regard to providing anything that would indicate a training exercise. Almost the same as saying ” no the earth does not revolve around the sun….it bounces off a black hole and Kim Kardashians back side. And then saying ” I know I have no evidence to prove this, but because I ask what if, it now becomes a theory of what actually happened and should be investigated and debated because it is coming from a college professor.

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President

The Constitution doesn’t offer up an explicit definition of “natural born citizen”, but even it did, you can clearly see that a person has to be a natural born citizen OR a citizen of the US to run for President. Bottom line: Obama qualifies, so all you birthers can exit stage left.

I have not had an opportunity to meet with this gentleman, Prof. Tracy, but based on his statements I would speculate that he is suffering from acute paranoid delusional syndrome aggravated by Seasonal Affective Depression Disorder (SADD). Basically, what happens is that during the winter months (yes, even in sunny Florida) when the days are shorter we tend to sleep more. When we are sleeping, we are susceptible to misfiring neurons and chemical imbalance in the brain. Serotonin is a chemical in the brain that affects mood and it’s reception and absorption in certain areas of the brain is linked to depression. In other words, too much sleep leads to bad dreams, which causes the sufferer to wake up feeling depressed by the bad dreams, and the cycle repeats itself.
The depression aggravates feelings of paranoia and can lead to acute symptoms, which may involve believing the President of the United States is involved in a conspiracy to mislead the public regarding his birthplace. When the SADD sufferer is exposed to dramatic or sensationalized versions of “news” or current events, such as by watching Fox News, the problem may be exacerbated.
In my professional opinion, this professor needs to take 40 mG of Prozac every day and should not be allowed anywhere near school campuses.

There is a difference between reacting to an event and exploiting it.
The President has done nothing to further restrictions on anyone’s gun rights in the last four years, but all you lemmings run around spending your entire pathetic pay checks stocking up on guns and ammo based on rumors started by the NRA to trick you into spending money. The NRA doesn’t represent gun owners or gun rights. They represent the people who manufacture and sell guns and ammo. You got tricked into thinking your gun rights were in jeopardy, just like you got tricked by the Koch brothers and Rupert Murdoch into thinking you had anything in common with rich people or that Obama was gonna raise your taxes.

In reality, no law in the land will ever stop a criminal from getting a gun. Obama has been flirting with tightening the laws for some time now and it’s oh-so- convenient that incidents like this are happening – and all over the news for days on end. Herd the sheep, herd the sheep!

If Obama was a white guy with a foreign sounding name, I guarantee you that the birthers wouldn’t have made an issue of whether or not he was a US citizen.

If you think that race doesn’t part of this, then go talk to some of these white people out here who have specifically stated that they don’t want “a n****r in the White House.”

First, condolences to the loved ones of those who died in the Newtown CT tragedy. Second, every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. In this matter, the tragedy’s “two or three witnesses” would be 1) media coverage, 2) the responders, and 3) the bodies. Third, once these witnesses discredit Dr. Tracy’s assertion, no more attention, media or otherwise, should be given to the discredited assertion. A discredited assertion is either more aptly called a lie, fiction, or delusion. This delusion actually speaks more to the need for an objective national discussion about mental illness and its many facets. Foolishly, Americans confuse pride with dignity; many would rather die (or kill) than admit defeat, dishonor or disease. Finally, free speech is protected by our US Constitution’s First Amendment, but this protection only prevents Congress from prohibition of speech. A reasonable person understands that there are consequences to speech (e.g. termination of employment, litigation, therapy), and one cannot say anything, everywhere (e.g. Don Imus, Rob Parker).

Do your research on the topic before writing a stupid article like this. The facts are there were three shooters involved on the scene and the weapon proclaimed to do the damage was locked up in Adam Larza’s trunk which of course he took there after he shot and killed himself inside the school.

Ironically, my wife pointed out a number of inconsistencies in the reporting of the events in Newtown. Never be so naive that you trust your government and believe they truly have your best interest at heart. Research Operation Northwood and see the eagerness of your government to create a crisis, with American citizens as casualties, for the expansion of special interest agendas. People, whether government officials, police officers, judges, etc., are fallible and will serve their own best interests.
Orson Well’s “War of The Worlds”, as told in the “50 True Tales of Horror”, had listeners in hysteria, believing the Earth was being invaded by aliens. The power of communications media demonstrated the ability to convince people an event was happening even when it was not. Add to it visuals and imagery, coupled with to auditory stimulation, then you have a powerful means of persuasion.
The zombie apocalypse isn’t about the deceased coming back to devour the living, it’s about the brain dead living feasting on irrelevant visuals filled with hours upon hours of Dancing with the Stars, Lohan, Hilton, Starbucks, American Idol, Xbox, etc. and other medians of non-sense.

If anyone believes your government won’t kill anyone, including innocent children, then you’re not living in reality. They will do what it takes to get what they want done. What better way to gain support for gun control than to kill a group of children, our most prized possessions. Their deaths impacted people much more than a group of college students as in the Va Tech case did. BTW, what happened to the man they found in the wooded area behind the school, who was reported to be dressed in camouflage and who was taken into custody for questioning? Why haven’t we heard about his story? Could he have been the one to make sure Lanza was killed and made to look like a suicide? The Govt and CIA don’t like live witnesses. Another odd occurrence in the CT shooting was the fact Lanza had destroyed his hard drive? Why/ If he had planned on killing the kids and them himself, why would he care about what was on his hard drive?Never say never when the government is involved.

There is a sickness that cloaks this world that can not be fixed by the rest of us folks who wonder from where the next dagger of hatred and terror will come. Our innocence is gone forever – our trust in the person unknown next to us shaken. Our fear and sadness is real and made fresh again by sick professors who are at liberty to speak freely at an institute that supports the belief that no matter the vileness and utter shocking putred vomit of meaningless words that taken together are not intended for belief but for shock value – it’s alright.
This person and this institution should be held accountable to the positions of responsibility they hold and command. They are supposedly stewards of those positions by the trust and authority placed on them through the public – not as a right of their own. They are as much accountable as are those who pulled the trigger in any of the mass slayings.
