FAU prof says Sandy Hook massacre may have been gov’t conspiracy
A cogent argument against tenure, from Florida’s Sun-Sentinel newspaper:
A communication professor known for conspiracy theories has stirred controversy at Florida Atlantic University with claims that last month’s Newtown, Conn., school shootings did not happen as reported — or may not have happened at all.
Moreover, James Tracy asserts in radio interviews and on his memoryholeblog.com. that trained “crisis actors” may have been employed by the Obama administration in an effort to shape public opinion in favor of the event’s true purpose: gun control.
“As documents relating to the Sandy Hook shooting continue to be assessed and interpreted by independent researchers, there is a growing awareness that the media coverage of the massacre of 26 children and adults was intended primarily for public consumption to further larger political ends,” writes Tracy, a tenured associate professor of media history at FAU and a former union leader.
Here’s hoping the good professor has no plans for a Connecticut vacation anytime soon.

So Jim, the great journalist you are, how many shooters were at the scene? Which shooters had the weapon purportedly used to target and kill 28 people in approximately 3 minutes as they ran for their lives? What about the guy in the woods? Do your research on the topic before writing a stupid article like this. The facts are there were three shooters involved on the scene and the weapon proclaimed to do the damage was locked up in Adam Larza’s trunk which of course he took there after he shot and killed himself inside the school.

Ironically, my wife pointed out a number of inconsistencies in the reporting of the events in Newtown. Never be so naive that you trust your government and believe they truly have your best interest at heart. Research Operation Northwood and see the eagerness of your government to create a crisis, with American citizens as casualties, for the expansion of special interest agendas. People, whether government officials, police officers, judges, etc., are fallible and will serve their own best interests.
Orson Well’s “War of The Worlds”, as told in the “50 True Tales of Horror”, had listeners in hysteria, believing the Earth was being invaded by aliens. The power of communications media demonstrated the ability to convince people an event was happening even when it was not. Add to it visuals and imagery, coupled with to auditory stimulation, then you have a powerful means of persuasion.
The zombie apocalypse isn’t about the deceased coming back to devour the living, it’s about the brain dead living feasting on irrelevant visuals filled with hours upon hours of Dancing with the Stars, Lohan, Hilton, Starbucks, American Idol, Xbox, etc. and other medians of non-sense.

This nutjob is entitled to your opinion but my opinion is that he should resign his position as any competent researcher would have gotten actual, feet on the ground, facts to support a claim such as this. I see none of that on his website. His “research” does not live up to the standards exhibited by middle school students who do all their “research” on the web under the assumption the WEB is infallible. We all laugh at the commercial where the airhead blond shows off her “French model date” she met on the internet, there is a reason we all laugh at that.

I really wanted to laugh this one off but after today’s news that Obama may try to skip congress and the US Constitution by outlawing guns via executive order… I dunno.
Kind of sad that we can’t trust our government anymore to begin with.

It is such a shame that the Republicans hate America so much. Is it because the president is not white? Is it because you hate everyone including yourself? As a veteran of the military, I find what the Republicans do to the American people is heartless. What kind of christian take food and medicine away from the poor? My conspiracy , I think they don’t want abortions because they plan to rape young woman to make babies to enlarge the white race. They are a treasonous bunch of slow thinkers and are a blight on the American people and our American way of life.

My dad was a WWII vet, if that had of been one of his grandchildren that was killed & he read what Professor Tracey wrote, he would have drove to his house, shot him in the knee cap with a 38 revolver, looked at him while he was screaming in pain and calmly stated,’ Sorry Professor, that didn’t happen you’re just imagining this is happening.” Then hit him with a right cross that knocked him out and left.

If anyone believes your government won’t kill anyone, including innocent children, then you’re not living in reality. They will do what it takes to get what they want done. What better way to gain support for gun control than to kill a group of children, our most prized possessions. Their deaths impacted people much more than a group of college students as in the Va Tech case did. BTW, what happened to the man they found in the wooded area behind the school, who was reported to be dressed in camouflage and who was taken into custody for questioning? Why haven’t we heard about his story? Could he have been the one to make sure Lanza was killed and made to look like a suicide? The Govt and CIA don’t like live witnesses. Another odd occurrence in the CT shooting was the fact Lanza had destroyed his hard drive? Why/ If he had planned on killing the kids and them himself, why would he care about what was on his hard drive?Never say never when the government is involved.

I agree. The perpetrator could easily have been hypnotized to do the deed. Most all of these acts are part of a planned ploy to take away guns from the common citizens. It is a proven fact that it is impossible to take away guns from criminals, terrorists, or anyone intending to do such a deed. There will never be in the past or future of the world where guns will be banned from the black market. Anyone with the right price will always be able to get any kind of gun and ammo they want.

Freedom of speach my a$$. There is a line moraly responsible people do not cross – no matter what the issue and it has been crossed. There is no race issue here – this is purely and simply a stupidity issue and one that screams LOOK AT ME!!! There is as much a mental problem with this guy and the attitude of the school that allows such crap as the one that existed that sad day in Sandy Hook Elementary. There is a sickness that cloaks this world that can not be fixed by the rest of us folks who wonder from where the next dagger of hatred and terror will come. Our innocence is gone forever – our trust in the person unknown next to us shaken. Our fear and sadness is real and made fresh again by sick professors who are at liberty to speak freely at an institute that supports the belief that no matter the vileness and utter shocking putred vomit of meaningless words that taken together are not intended for belief but for shock value – it’s alright.
This person and this institution should be held accountable to the positions of responsibility they hold and command. They are supposedly stewards of those positions by the trust and authority placed on them through the public – not as a right of their own. They are as much accountable as are those who pulled the trigger in any of the mass slayings. The only difference is they pulled the trigger on their mouths and attitudes to inflict emotional wounds on the general populace to make the physical violence fresh again. Rise up and let them know they were wrong!

Until there is a thread of evidence, the prof is a nut and I’ve been a repub my entire adult life! Secondly Obama himself fueled the birther debate as he refused and spent mucho money to keep his certificate hidden for years! And the fact he applied for college federal aid as a foreign student doesn’t help any. Still not convinced he’s not a US citizen but that’s not the issue. You must be a “natural-born citizen”!
