Twenty-four hours before a crucial second debate between President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed responsibility for the deadly assault in Libya that left four U.S. diplomatic personnel dead, including the U.S. ambassador:
“I take responsibility” for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN’s Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru, for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, was the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions.“I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha,” she added, noting that it is close to the election.

So it was Hillary’s idea to lie for days about a mob incited by a video? The President, Ambassador Rice, etc. decided to just go along? I don’t buy it but I am sure it sounds good enough not to question by our media who always exhbit the highest standards in journalistic ethics.

Hillary has shown herself again and again to be a professional shill for the democrats. Bill fools around w/ Monica, Hillary gets promised a Senate seat in a state she wasn’t even a resident of. She gets a political appointment after supporting mr. Obumble. Only have to wait and see what she has negotiated out of this latest stunt of hers…
If she is truly taking responsibility, she should have immediately resigned–a full US ambassador was killed on her watch and her agency denied his security staff the protection they requested. instead, she acts “appalled”–do-nothing crap she must have learned from mr. ineffective Obumble. yeah, he’s the guy that promised tohalve the deficit his 1st term–real effective leadership, but he did manage to log in his vacation time.

The gene pool is in definite need of a long past due major clean-up, probably by a HAZMAT team!
Hillary Clinton is a walking, talking enigma. A curious mind has to wonder at her taking responsibility for the Libyan debacle resulting in the deaths of four Americans. What is not immediately clear to me is whether she is accepting blame for the administration’s attempt at a cover-up? Claiming responsibility for either or both is political suicide. What information does Obama have on the Clintons to produce the continued support of Bill Clinton and the obvious political suicide of Hillary Clinton? It must be something HUGE . . .

cc, you are aware, that, as Secretary of State, that is Hillary’s job? I love you Republicans. According to you bozos, Obama hasn’t created private sector jobs (something only the private sector can do). Obama hasn’t made the price of gas 1.50 (ignoring the effect of long term inflation and supply and demand ). Obama has made the price of food go up ( ignoring the drought in the Midwest, bad weather in cocoa, coffee and soybean growing countries–which are not America). Obama manipulates all the data that comes from myriad sources–government as well as private. I see a president that has been masterful pulling this country out of a recession that was caused by all the policies you guys wanted. I see a president that, against filibuster and bluff and insanity from the Tea Party has kept us from going down–hard. I just wish the magical president you guys tout did exist. This is a country that has embassies in almost every country in the world. There is a finite amount of resources which have become scarcer, and will become more scarce. Ryan’s budget proposed cutting an additional 88 million from the State Department’s security budget. It didn’t keep you all from re-electing Dubya the Dumb after one of the biggest intelligence blunders in this country’s history since Pearl Harbor. Over 3000 people died because Dubya the Dumb and Condi Rice decided not to listen to an intelligence report given to them in the summer of 2001. Bush was clearing brush at his ranch and Condi was golfing. Now you imbecile hypocrites want to use this to crucify President Obama and Hilary Clinton??? A Texas game warden went to a small ranch in the hill country of central Texas to check a report of illegal hunting. The old rancher assured the game warden that he was innocent of any such activity but invited the game warden to “have a look around.” When the game warden reached a fenced pasture, the rancher said, “I don’t believe you ought to go in that pasture.” The game warden turned back to face the rancher, tapped the badge on his shirt and said, “The State of Texas gave me this badge, and this badge says I can go anywhere I want!” The game warden crossed the fence and was well into the pasture when a huge Santa Gertrudis bull appeared from behind a stand of trees and immediately gave chase. As the game warden ran for his life with the Santa Gertrudis bull gaining on him rapidly, the old rancher leaned on the fence and yelled, “Show him your badge! Show him your badge!”

Mad Max, the long term rate of inflation is 3%. Not one single economist or analyst has said that the price hikes we have seen in gas or food is from our “printing money”. As a matter of fact, it has had no effect. Supply and demand has run up gas. As China was growing at a blistering pace oil went up. These last few months, as China has slowed, the pice of oil has come down. If you do not understand economics, please don’t make ignorant comments. Turn Fox News off, turn off Hannity and Boortz and Erickson, pick up a book or two.

Rush lies for a living. His job is to agitate dummies, who will believe anything, and come back for more. He doesn’t give a damn about this country. You might want to do a little reading on your own…
“Bernanke served as chairman of President George W. Bush’s Council of Economic Advisers before President Bush appointed him on February 1, 2006, to be chairman of the United States Federal Reserve.
Bernanke is particularly interested in the economic and political causes of the Great Depression, on which he has published numerous academic journal articles. Before Bernanke’s work, the dominant monetarist theory of the Great Depression was Milton Friedman’s view that it had been largely caused by the Federal Reserve’s having reduced the money supply.
Bernanke has cited Milton Friedman and Anna Schwartz in his decision to lower interest rates to zero.
He said “The U.S. government has a technology, called a printing press (or today, its electronic equivalent), that allows it to produce as many U.S. dollars as it wishes at no cost.” (He referred to a statement made by Milton Friedman about using a “helicopter drop” of money into the economy to fight deflation.
Bernanke noted that “people know that inflation erodes the real value of the government’s debt and, therefore, that it is in the interest of the government to create some inflation.”

Y’all are so full of it. Americans embedded in a middle-eastern country where we are, and have been, vehementently hated for our policy of constant interference, in the midst of a brutal civil war. And some Americans get attacked on what is now the holy day of killing Americans to our enemies. How tragic, and how not-at-all surprising. How also not surprising is that the facts of this attack would be sketchy and not immediately available, since several Americans were killed, and the others on site fled to another location and kept their heads down. What’s the matter? Do you think the White House has a freaking web cam in every corner of the planet to monitor what happens 24/7/365? Just because the facts were not immediately known does not mean anyone is “lying” to lil’ ol’ YOU. Just because you think Americans should wield invisible, impermeable bubbles whereever we go because we’re Americans does not mean our enemies won’t succeed in killing Americans. Funny how you defend thousands of dead soldiers in Iraq for no good GD reason, but are so torn up that others serving in a dangerous, war-ravaged nation would also die. Please. The GOP’s politicization of this matter is disgusting. Those men were doing their jobs in a dangerous place. Top 10 Obama Broken Promises from PilitiFact: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2012/sep/01/barack-obamas-top-10-promises-broken-kept/
1. Create a foreclosure prevention fund for homeowners
Obama created a fund, but it failed to meet its own benchmarks for helping homeowners. A special inspector general deemed the program “a colossal failure.”
2. Repeal the Bush tax cuts for higher incomes
In 2010, Obama agreed to a deal with Republicans to extend the current tax rates for another two years. He will get another shot at keeping this promise if he wins re-election.
3. Close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center
Obama has consistently said he wants the facility closed, but he hasn’t found a way to get Congress to agree. Guantanamo Bay remains open.
4. Create cap and trade system with interim goals to reduce global warming
A bill for cap-and-trade passed the U.S. House of Representatives in 2009, but the Senate wouldn’t bite. Now Republicans control Congress, and it’s considered dead.
5. Sign the Employee Free Choice Act, making it easier for workers to unionize
This didn’t get done when Democrats controlled Congress, and now it looks as if it won’t get done at all, thanks to Republican opposition.
6. Allow imported prescription drugs
The White House dropped this pledge as it lured drug makers to get on board with the president’s health care law. The promise hasn’t been heard from since.
7. Sign the Freedom of Choice Act
Candidate Obama said one of the first things he wanted to do was sign abortion rights legislation. President Obama said he had other priorities and wanted to tamp down anger surrounding the issue.
8. Create a public option health plan for a new National Health Insurance Exchange
Congress rejected the idea for a public health insurance option open to everyone. Obama downplayed the fact that it was left out of the final version of the health care law.
9. Introduce a comprehensive immigration bill in the first year
Obama said he would introduce legislation that included a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. But other priorities — health care and financial regulation — seemed to run out the clock.
10. Bring Democrats and Republicans together to pass an agenda
On matters large and small, partisanship is worse than ever.
A list of the top 75 Obama lies can be read at: http://obamalies.net/list-of-lies

“Wall Street Journal Held Hillary Clinton’s Libya ‘Responsibility’ Comment For Several Days”
The gist is that the WSJ had the same quote from Hillary on taking responsibility from last Wednesday… and sat on it.
Hmm, could that be because there was some sort of debate going on the next night that might lead off with questions on Libya?
It would be funny to see if you posted a follow-up blog detailing all of this and see if all of the commenters on this thread would come back and (a) admit that they were wrong, and (b) jump on the Wall Street Journal for withholding important news 24 hours before the VP debate.
