Advice from Emory University’s debate squad

The Barkley Forum, Emory University’s nationally ranked debate team, has won more than 20 national championships since 1967, we’re told.

Which is why the university has seen fit to put the team’s coaches and advisors on camera, discussing what Barack Obama and Mitt Romney need to do tomorrow in Denver:

Killer quote from debate coach Nick Miller:

“Delivery is likely the most important aspect in a debate, because the logical content of arguments doesn’t necessarily persuade people, whereas the credibility of the speaker tends to.”

“the logical content of arguments doesn’t necessarily persuade people”

Especially liberals…they respond more to arguments designed for an emotional response.

“whereas the credibility of the speaker tends to”

romney may as well stay home then, his constant flip flop flip has destroyed any credibility he ever possessed, But that matters little to the cons, nothing trumps party with them, not integrity, nor our country’s welfare, nor truth. Their allegiance will always be to the repub party, and America be damned.

Do Offshore Votes Count...

Do Offshore Votes Count…or just offshore money?

God Bless Mitt’s 50%, or is it Ryan’s 70%, but why should the billionaires pimping these guys care about the rest? Only the oligarch’s big money matters. The neo-conservative version of an American democracy does look like the place where the millionaire Governpr’s son can claim to be self-made, and his VP Ryan, who has only worked on the government payroll all his professional politician life, can campaign to the GOP-Tea Party nuts on a platform of destroying government.

No wonder the sewed-up Red States have the highest federal dependency, and the lowest literacy in the country. How else could these frauds get this far in a free and democratic nation. God Bless, but after we get corporate charter schools and vouchers here in the Dumb State, we will call the anarchy democracy, and dumb and dumber will be called smart…or is that here, now?

Mitt’s $17,000 cap on household tax deductions announced today will melt down the rest of the economy that hasn’t been off shored or privatized.

I think you should be asking Bonehead and Cantor where the jobs are…they’re the ones holding everything up. They are too busy worrying about abortion and screwing the poor to care about jobs
