Herman Cain says he’d have a ‘substantial lead’ over Barack Obama

You can file Herman Cain’s appearance at the University of Florida on Thursday under “With Friends Like These.” From the Gainesville Sun:

Cain told members of the media after the speech that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s recent “47 percent” comment was a “non-story” being blown out of proportion by the media. But Cain said he would have been doing better if he was the nominee, saying that he’d probably have a “substantial lead” on President Barack Obama at this point.

“The reason is quite simple: I have some depth to my ideas,” he said.

“Today’s Gallop poll has the race tied 47-47 and Ramussen has it a 1 point Obama lead. ”

Gallop??? Never heard of it.

The national polls mean nothing right now. This close to the election the swing state polls are where the action is at. The current electoral projections along with the current swing state polls paint a very bleak picture for Romney.

Its time for Republicans to start fantasizing about 2016, maybe Rasmussen can put together a poll for you losers, something to keep your spirits up. I might look something like this…

Rasmussen 2016- President

Clinton 59%
Cain 41%

Whoops! Looks like Clinton is way ahead. So much for lifting the spirits of our Republican friends. Even Rasmussen has Clinton winning by a landslide!

Jim,

I can barely stop laughing at this story. Thanks, I needed that today. Is he serious? The man got booted out of the race because of booty calls. And he thinks he’d be doing better than the President? He is more delusional that I thought.

Like him or not, and I don’t, at least he had an idea, 9-9-9, and stuck to it. All R-money has is empty promises of a utopian future (maybe he’s the Messiah!). I’m still waiting on the MSM to ask a followup, “How do you plan to get to that goal, Governor, especially in light of the Republican party being utterly opposed to whatever you’re promising at the moment?”

I actually voted for Mr Cain in the Florida primaries and would have supported him had he made it this far. But instead of him touting himself I could do this or that what we need is for people like Herman Cain to get behind Mitt Romney and energize the base. If Mr Cain would have kept his pants on maybe we would be talking about him vs obama. Instead we have a good guy that just does not have the WOW quality that it takes to beat obama. God help us over the next 4 yrs as we become a socialist state

You guys are all funny. Like our vote matters and whoever wins matters? Not! Both sides are influenced by money. I am not saying that because I am a wealth hater, I control my own life by providing for myself very nicely. Just take a look at the wallets of the people running. They have more money than god and are not spending their own money to fund the campaigns. They will spend a billion dollars just to try and get your vote. That only points to one thing and that is their own personal gain is at stake, as well the people funding them. Too much money and power influencing them plain and simple. They will say I love America, I will make your life better, yadda yadda yadda… I love this country and it is a shame that our supposed leaders have made it a shambles.

If you could fix real problems with bluster and hot-air, he’d be a great man for the job. Those are qualities that the GOP base value, especially here in the South where we likes our wrasslin’ types.

Some peoples ego is so huge they cannot fathom how the rest of the world is not as enamored of them as they are of themselves. I wold put Herman Cain and Donald Trump in this category. Narcissism is abound in politics and with CEOs. One usually succeeds because of it, although one can be a huge A-hole too.

Will he sit down and shut up already!? You were never going to be the nominee. You let your radio audience blow smoke up your butt and you ended up looking like a fool! One side of the Republican party is racist(you weren’t going to get their vote), Another side is conservative perfectionist (who weren’t going to voted for someone with evidence of adultery against him out in the open). And finally, the Republicans that are actually sane and reasonable…THEY KNOW that your 9-9-9 plan was/is full of baloney…which doesn’t make economic sense or mathematical sense…which you know honestly doesn’t make sense…as you couldn’t explain it yourself!

News Flash: I (or, any of us) can say the same thing. in fact, I will say it: ” I would have a big lead over Obama.” Fact of the matter is, neither I nor Mr. Cain are on any ballot that can by law be considered valid for securing enough votes for the position of President of the United States.

Ok all. If I was running for president I would be leading in the polls. Here are my ideas and they have depth.

First we would make the US number 1 priority not other countries. My opponents claim they are helping America but all I see is people suffering, education sucks, and a government that couldnt run a household budget if they tried. Cut 3/4 of the foreign aid and reinvest in America. I believe in helping others, but when your people are having a hard time you dont turn your back. Take the billions we are giving to our enemies and fund a lottery. Hold a lottery each year giving 2 million to multiple people until the 3/4 cut of foreign aid is dried up. Those people are required to give 1/2 away to another person in need. Also with part of it they are required to use 1/2 on spending. House, car? If house they need to keep a portion for maintaining the house and taxes. If you dont like that give it back in a check to every tax paying american at the end of the year. America first! This will stimulate the economy.

Second. Tell these back stabing countries that claim to be our friend to go to h… Pakistan comes to mind. They are backing the terrorists. Dont be fooled by the media. They give us nugets to make it think we are friends and they are helping but they are secretly funding terrorism.

Medical. Make medical care like any other service. Insurance shouldnt have to cost you a mint. Health care prices and quality should be driven by competition. Dr. I admire but the cost of service is way to high.

Here is an idea. maybe we should actually spend what we take in, no more. Has anyone ever heard of a budget? I swear no one in DC has.

Vote for me!

@Bernie and Stan

A big thanks to you guys for closing my last hour of work (on Friday) with a Good Laugh LOL LOL LOL.. Oh My God..who in their Right mind would vote for Hermain?(I like to slip my hands up white women skirts and play with their privates all the while telling my wife how much I love her)

If I were Mrs Cain..he would be making his bed in the basement, patio deck, front yard or back yard. Anyplace but in My bed. He is a JOKE. I dislike Mitt..I Will vote for Obama again. But if Cain were running I would definately not vote for him and instead vote for Mitt. and as I said I dont even like Mitt.

Thats how less I think of Cain. Womanizer. I am with Bernie and Stan..the only thing he would have is Sexual Harrassment Cases Stacking up. But of course they would all be white women. Him and Tiger dont do black, dont get it twisted or confused.

Mr. Cain has delightful depth and range in his singing voice. Election season sure got boring after he left! What other candidate comes right out and delivers — without hesitation — his very own jacked-up version of Amazing Grace? A new twist on “Pivot!”

Cain couldnt beat obama, but he sure as hell would have been better than him.

The Romney campaign is trying really hard to keep Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson, out of the debates for a reason….Gary Johnson is a better candidate than Romney AND Obama. If Johnson is ABLE to get into the debates and ON the ballots, watch out! Please do the research and see that Johnson is the best candidate no one in the media is talking about.
