We should be more concerned that the messages of both Obama and Romney conflict with the limits imposed on the federal government by the constitution. Instead we care about the minutia and the trivial. Both are warmongering, federal reserve loving, big government loving, crony capitalists. Bush=Obama=Romney. Whomever wins, america loses.
Don’t vote. If you do, you have no right to complain.

Mitt The Proud One ” Romney. Mitt who abandoned America and fled to foreign soil, specifically Paris France to avoid the Viet Nam War to perform Missionary work on BEHALF of the Mormon Church.
Mitts speech last week further showed his disdain and uncaring attitude of America’s Fighting Forces. Mitt showed us ALL with a Purposeful intent with a Honest admission of support of his long held beliefs of the American Troops.
Mitt never mentioned America’s (2) two ongoing WARS IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN.at ALL. Not one time! No statement of THANKS or Gratitude to our Troops or their Families. No mention of Prayers for the DEAD and INJURED. Even George W. remembered to DO THAT at every chance He spoke! I will at least give W. the sense to do that!
If He did not….. A call from GEORGE HW would be in the MAKING….PRONTO!
The only REPUBLICAN to call MITT OUT on this intentional “FUBAR” was BILL KRYSTAL of the weekly Standard. It still took MITT 2 more days to even acknowledge that PLANNED OMISSION.
The Republicans are willing to overlook all of these ISSUES and still support such a candidate for the highest office of the LAND. However when MITT wanted to introduce LYING RYAN.
He REMEMBERED the U.S. military to use the U.S.S. Wisconsin as a PROP for his introduction in NORFOLK VA. “Home Of The SIXTH U.S. NAVY FLEET!
This is something ALL VETERANS should think and take PAUSE of.
In Mitts speech last week, Mitt remembered to Threaten IRAN,RUSSIA and CHINA
with the same TROOPS he forgot to THANK and PRAISE. However, Mitt did remembered to Praise Himself, ANN and his 5 BOYS. Who like their DAD will NEVER WEAR an American Fighting UNIFORM……EVER!
But they ALL are dreaming, willing, and desiring to Live in America’s most sacred Home. The PEOPLE”S HOUSE, The WHITEHOUSE in Washington, DC.
In November We MUST REMEMBER MITT…on BEHALF of ALL OF OUR TROOPS!
We WILL NEVER BE IGNORED or Forgotten BY The American People!

Better off, hmmm…
When Obama took office, we were on the cusp of a financial Armageddon that would have made Black Tuesday look like dropping a penny on the floor while you were making change.
Today, the financial system is secure and regulations are in place to prevent its excesses, every major domestic stock exchange is at near record highs, our export rate is at or near record highs, the Gross National Product is at record highs, private sector jobs have been added every month for almost a year.
Yea, I think that’s better.
Four years ago, Osama Bin Laden and his chief deputies were busily planning follow-ups to 9/11. Now they are either dead or incapacitated and the threat to the US from Al Queda has been diminished
Yea, I’s say that’s better too.
Four years ago, GM and 10’s of 1000’s of HIGH PAYING jobs with great benefits were on the verge of passing into history and/or being replaced with $17/hour jobs at some scab plant in Alabama. Now GM is strong again AND those high paying jobs are still out there).
I’m going to have to say that’s better, too.
Four years ago, we had only a hope that we would ever extricate ourselves from a war started on the basis of LIES. Now US combat operations in Iraq have ceased and Iraq is slowly, but surely, starting down the path to governing itself.
I have to say that’s good, too.
Four years ago, Afghanistan was being allowed to become a breeding ground for international terrorism due to US indifference. Now, even the end of US involvement there is within sight.
Score another one for better off.
I could go on and on, BUT what I wanted to add is that President Obama did this ALL in the 18 months that Democrats had control of the Senate OR by using the executive powers granted to the President of the United States.
Mitch McConnell said that his goal was to see the country fall under Obama. Mittens defended him for saying it. Now Obama may not have achieved everything he could have had he had the same kind of congressional support as FDR or the same congressional cooperation as Reagan (who got everything he asked for and more from a Democrat congress), but for a guy fighting the biggest financial crisis in history on a hostile battlefield,
I’d say he did a pretty good job SO FAR.
Osama Bin Laden dead. Troops out of Iraq. Gadaffi dead. Dow Jones back around 13K. Health Care Act. Businesses slowly hiring back. Yes,I think we are a bit better off. Of course it’s not as great as things on planet Kolob (look it up).
Overall We are better off.

Limited Government does not refer to a list of things the federal government can not do. Since you have no idea what you are talking, let me explain. The idea was to limit government by breaking it up according to functions, across levels, and by vesting democratic authority in the hands of the people. The consequence is that neither the president, the Congress, the courts, the federal government, the state governments, nor the people can govern with absolutely.
The US Constitution basically tells the world that our federal government can do what ever it wants if all of the above parties agree and/or if we decide to ratify amendments. What limits government, in theory and practice, is that it is rather rare that all of the stars align and remain aligned across space and time.
You are obviously one of those undereducated conservatives that pretends to love liberty, but, like most conservatives, all you really want is a dictator with whom you agree.

I’m pretty sure that the Dems have controlled the Senate for the entire Obama presidency, which is much more than 18 months. By the way, Bush had some ideas for improving the economy that he wanted passed around the time it was heading downhill, but he was stonewalled by a Dem HoR and Senate, then Obama went on to say that the poor economy was all the previous president’s fault. In simpler terms, if you blame the Reps for being obstructionist now, then you have to admit that the Dems were obstructionists when the economy was starting to go downhill.

When Obama took office Democrats held:
• 58 Senate seats. It is 51 now (plus two independents who align mostly with the Democrats).
• 257 seats in the House of Representatives. It is 190 now (there are also three vacancies for seats last held by Democrats).
• 29 of the 50 governorships. It is 20 now.
• 4,073 state legislative seats. It is 3,319 now.

Great comments, Bernie! Romney is now firmly in the clutches of the corporations that profit from war. In politics more so than anything, you have to follow the money. If Romney is elected, we will never, ever get out of Afghanistan. He doesn’t talk about Afghanistan, except to deride Obama’s deadline for exiting that god forsaken hell hole, because he has no plan. He can’t tell us, just as McCain and Dubya never could tell us what a “win” looks like. Know why? You cannot ever, ever win the war. We have been at war for ten years, and the fact Romney can’t even acknowledge the thousands of Americans(as well as our allies) who have been sacrificed for the military industrial complex, make me vomit. It’s safe to say (for Bernie) that her OBGYN is bound by law to not divulge such information.
