DNC chair: ‘We’ll shoot President Obama out of a cannon’

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Florida congresswoman and chairman of the Democratic National Committee, says her party is planning a gathering in Charlotte, N.C., next week that will have the common touch – and feature some peculiar fireworks.

From the chairman’s interview with Dara Kam, a writer for our sister paper, the Palm Beach Post:

“We made a decision that our convention was not going to be the invitation-only, exclusive, only the elite-need-apply affair that this one has been.

“Ours is going to be one that, when we finish on Thursday night, we’ll have shot President Obama out of a cannon into the fall campaign, and leave with an enthusiastic, fired-up, broad base of supporters who understand that he’s been fighting for the middle class.”

We would advise Democrats to aim carefully, and avoid pointing the president toward nearby South Carolina. No dorky helmet. And remember that capes are prone to tangling.

I don’t think Romney can surpass Rice’s delivery when
he speaks tonight. She was by far the best speaker.
If she decides to run, she can be the first female president.

The Republicans have been boring overall thus far. The
democrats will be more energized. They don’t need any
gimmicks to surpass what the republicans displayed.

Looking forward to the debates which will determine
the winner of the election.

The Dem leadership are so worried that there base is not going to come out in the same numbers as they did in 2008 to vote and they are right.

The religious leaders in the African American community are already on a campaign to keep their members at home over the gay marriage issue.

50% of those young college voters 4 years ago do not have jobs today.

White suburban women do not like the gas prices rising, food prices rising and their insurance prices going up by $2500 per year instead of going down by $2500 per year.

are you all serious?

just as long as when he lands both the house and senate are ready to go to work. there is a laundry list of items to tackle. in no particular order and who cares who gets the credit. revamp our ancient tax system. revamp, repeal, redo, revoke NAFTA. wild Bill snuck that one in on us either that oor no one cared at the time. revamp how we bank and how banks operate. there is no reason to be charged for going to the bank to get your own money. that’s called pimping. with these items work in conjunction with real business people big and small to get their input and feedback!!! then get out the way so the business folks can do what they do!! next, come up with a law that prohibits lobbyists from getting within a 50 mi radius of the District of Criminals. If a kid gets in trouble for accepting a new car to entice him to go to a certain college to play football then lawmakers should roll with the same penalties. revamp the healthcare bill. no one and I mean no one knows how that thing will impact us as a nation dollar wise. house and senate quit bulls####ing this time around and get to WORK!!!

Condi’s Speech is not something Mitt would not want to strive for anyway. She is a TOOL of the republican Party to be put on show in black face. Her main goal was to try and make America think that the children and grandchildren of JIM CROW are somehow less racist and bigoted. Such a Job can never be done by one person of color. Condi is a Fraud and Liar….she is your Fraud and liar and you are welcome to have her in your corner. The rest of America expects and deserve so much Better!

td…gay marriage is of little consequence. that’s b.s. politics you do when you have nothing else to bring to the table. only people worried about that crap are the people in Tampa in that stadium, in that vaccum they live in. gas prices are going up because you got them tied to the stock market. who made that happen. now anytime something happens in the gulf of Mexico, we feel the rise in prices. that has nothing to do with who the president is. they need to revamp the Obamacare, I’ll give you that much. BUT, remember, Obama put it out there with the intention grown folks were going to sit down and tweak the thing. BUT, no the party of NO won’t comply.

I can hear it now. When Obama loses in November it is going to be blamed on voter suppression of those evil Republicans. Victim Destiny at it best.

BTW: What is the over/under on how many time the Bush administration and the Congressional Republicans will be blamed for all that has failed in the Obama Administration next week?

Double Zero Eight:

“Looking forward to the debates which will determine the winner of the election.”

When JFK and RMN debated prior to the Presidential election, the people who watched it on TV overwhelmingly thought that JFK won the debate. The people who listened to the debate on radio overwhelmingly thought that RMN won the debate. The visual aspect of debates has become far too influential; instead of ‘listening’, the people are ‘watching’. There is a difference . . .

“The Dem leadership are so worried that there base is not going to come out in the same numbers as they did in 2008 to vote and they are right.”

Because the repubs will do everything they can to ensure that only angry White Males are allowed to vote.

“The religious leaders in the African American community are already on a campaign to keep their members at home over the gay marriage issue.”

And there you have it folks, from a White Cobb Co conservative suburbanite, who has his finger on the pulse of the Black community. If you have questions about the mindset of Black folks, td is definitely the man to see.

“White suburban women do not like the gas prices rising, food prices rising and their insurance prices going up by $2500 per year instead of going down by $2500 per year.”

per CNN, healthcare cost for a family of four were about $8K / year for 2002. EOY 2008 the costs were almost $16K/ year and at the end of 2011 were $19.4K/year. http://money.cnn.com/2011/05/11/news/economy/healthcare_costs_family/index.htm

Since Obama doesn’t do any medical procedures in the Oval Office, only a fool or a repub (but I am being redundant) is going to blame him for the rise in HC costs.

Unless you ARE a white suburban woman, please do not speak for white suburban women*. Thank you. Thank you SO much!

*However, if you feel you would make a good spokesperson for the WSW of America, please submit your work history (if you actually have one) and salary requirements, along with a succinctly-worded essay explaining why anyone should ever listen to a single piece of nonsense that falls out of your deluded mouth, to our HQ, and we’ll consider you for the position. Bernie,

Why is Condi Rice a liar and fraud? Because she dares to be a Republican? Maybe she actually believes in what she says. Just because you don’t approve
, does not meanthis intelligent woman is wrong. And how do you know her motives?
