Ann Romney: No ’storybook’ marriage
TAMPA — Some passages from Ann Romney’s speech tonight about her husband Mitt, who just officially became the Republican nominee for president:
”I read somewhere that Mitt and I have a ‘storybook marriage.’ Well, in the storybooks I read, there were never long, long, rainy winter afternoons in a house with five boys screaming at once. And those storybooks never seemed to have chapters called MS or breast cancer.
“A storybook marriage? No, not at all. What Mitt Romney and I have is a real marriage.”
This is a likely closing passage:
”This is the man who will wake up every day with the determination to solve the problems that others say can’t be solved, to fix what others say is beyond repair. This is the man who will work harder than anyone so that we can work a little less hard.
“I can’t tell you what will happen over the next four years. But I can only stand here tonight, as a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an American, and make you this solemn commitment:
“This man will not fail.
“This man will not let us down.
“This man will lift up America!”

get real…you speak in sweeping broad strokes. c’mon man can’t you google something he has done that has you so ready for November?? Apologizing on the international stage?? was that before or after he grabbed the Nobel Peace prize? as for the spending, if I give you a classic car and it needed fixing because it was worn out after two wars, billions borrowed from China (remember all those $600 checks “W” was handing out and you were spending??), collapsed housing industry and the ripple effects from that, don’t you think it’ll take money to fix it back up?? Repubs sold you on lower to no taxes but yet got you driving in a pay per use lane to get to work. what kind of sense does that make? washington is called the district of criminals for a reason. both sides enjoy countless perks from lobbyists, it’s how they roll. neither side is willing to change that. here locally both dems and repubs voted to limit lobbyist money for lawmakers. call me what you want, you still haven’t come up with anything concrete. now go back to listening to limbaugh I believe he’s back on air.
