Mitt Romney: ‘No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate’

COMMERCE, MI — Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney Friday raised the discredited rumor that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States and thus ineligible to be president.
The presumptive GOP nominee, joined for a rally outside Detroit Friday by running mate Paul Ryan, joked that he had been born in a nearby hospital and that “no one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate. ”
The president’s reelection campaign swiftly responded that Romney was directly enlisting himself in the discredited “birther movement” and that “should give pause to any rational voter,” said Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt.
Obama has been dogged throughout his presidency by question about his birthplace. He released a long form copy of his birth certificate last year, showing he was born in Hawaii in 1961.
Romney grew up in Michigan and his father, George Romney was a popular governor of the state.
Last week, Obama got in a quip about Romney’s long-ago practice of transporting the family dog on the roof his car. So now they’re even?

Mister.Earl, I have a photo of myself being greeted by Obama..I can’t stand the man but you still don;t turn down a chance to meet the president, for the networking opportunities alone.
I am what other people often call a “user” in that I only care about other people as long as they further my own goals. Cam was the best QB AU ever had..and we got the crystal football thanks to him. Now he is on a team in the same division as my favorite NFL team so I root for him to “loose all his fancy foosball games”, as mama Bouche would say. Obamanomics is da devil!

Who cares about this anyway? What I care about are all the people that I know personally who don’t have jobs and want them, and about the housing values in my neighborhood dropping like a brick. We need Romney because we need someone who will sit behind the desk in the Oval office for more than 10 minutes without running out to a golf game, or going out to campaign.

It is the presidents core values that make him repulsive to me. He believes that all humans owe all other humans a certain standard of living just because they exist. He believes it is never the individual that achieves anything, only the collective. he is a statist..he believes the government should be a benevolent dictatorial nanny for the sheeple. Next campaign stop, Mitt Romney jokes with the crowd about having the first Black President. “I know Black people. Many of my wealthy friends have them for household help and I know quite a few working at my country club.”
We may not need to see Mitt’s birth certificate, but we would sure like to see his tax returns for the last decade. This is the same guy who ran for governor of Massachusetts in 2002, after claiming to be Utah resident on his recent tax returns. He does own a big house in Park City, Utah that looks more like a luxury hotel than rustic mountain cabin. We know he owns at least four mansions/estates around the country. Probably owns one in the Cayman Islands or Switzerland, too.
