New Obama TV ad spotlights Romney’s vocal talents

Call a man a liar. Imply that he’s a felon. But there’s nothing crueler than putting a fellow’s singing on display. The re-election campaign of President Barack Obama put out word of the ad below this morning:

Reaction from the Mitt Romney campaign, via the Washington Post;

“Every day, President Obama hits a new low. It is sad and shameful that President Obama would mock America the Beautiful,” Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said. “But sadly, it’s not surprising for the man who launched his presidency with an apology tour. The ‘Uncle Jims’ of our country – as he condescendingly calls middle-class Americans – don’t believe in mocking America the Beautiful and don’t believe in apologizing for America.”

This could very well be Obama’s “King Rat” video. Very effective.

The reaction from the Romney camp is a big dud. This ad doesn’t mock America the Beautiful. It mocks Romney’s fake patriotism.

Does Romney even realize that asking for an apology from an opponent is a sign of weakness? You don’t ask… you navigate so that your opponent has to apologize to make their own bleeding stop.

If Romney is not good at Presidential politics, he’s never going to do well against other world leaders. #TOAST

From the Movie Casa Blanca:

Croupier: “Your winnings, sir.”

Captain Renault: [sotto voce] “Oh, thank you very much.”

Stop picking on Romney people don’t become billionaires by playing fair they have a team of lawyers an advisors that know all the loopholes an legal ways to avoid taxes . and he should not release any more taxes I mean come on look at the trouble it has caused him Can u imagine the s–t storm that would create if he released 12 yrs. So stand on your principles Mitt and don’t release another tax Release Cause if you did release them after stating very clearly that you have released enough that is legally required THAT would make you look like a flip flop per

Agree. So why didn’t Obama, the Democratic House, and veto proof Senate change it?

(The answer is that BOTH Democratic and Republican leaders including all Senators benefit directly from that lower rate, as do their friends, family, and big buck campaign contributors).

As much fun as I have fun poking Galloway, the AJC, and partisan posters on this liberal website – lets admit there is very little influence here. Georgia is a very red state where Democrats, including Obama, are not going to get elected. All of GA’s electoral votes are going to Romney, no matter how much shilling and railing is done here.

I am not happy with many of the Republicans, but am at least realistic. Maybe Galloway and most of his liberal partisan followers should be looking to blog/post on blue state websites.

I posted above “Maybe Galloway and most of his liberal partisan followers should be looking to blog/post on blue state websites.”

If the object is to influence instead of just feel better – there are only about 10 states in play for the Presidency, and fewer for the Senate. But maybe Galloway and the liberals here are satisfied to simply bolster the most liberal Republicans here in Georgia – but around here, that usually backfires like with the Rogers and Beach race.

@ Baron Dekalb – Do you deny that Galloway is an obvious liberal Democrat from this and hundreds of other blog postings? He is listed as an AJC reporter and has had many byline articles in addition to this blog. He is hopelessly biased, as is most of this and other big city newspapers, broadcast TV, and Hollywood. I don’t listen to talk radio since I know it is hopelessly biased right – but newspapers, TV, and Hollywood are much harder to ignore. It is disgusting.

Despite the crazed right wing rhetoric most Americans could care less about Obama’s transcripts, its an issue for the same crazed right wing nuts that became hysterical over Obama’s birth certificate.

Romney’s tax returns however are a different story. He is taking a big chance not releasing all of his returns from the last 12 years. Obama’s ad has sent the Romney camp into hysterics. Just wait until the campaign really heats up. The meltdown of Romney will be fun to watch.

Romney’s tax returns are only a huge issue in your leftest community. Now let us look at tax returns actually released (Note: I am not counting returns released while the person was President)

Romney: 2010 and 2011
Obama: 2000-2007
McCain: 2006 and 2007
Palin: 2006 and 2007
GWB: 2000
Dick Chaney: 2000
Bill Clinton: 0
GHWB: 0

no, most of them are driving trucks, or the equivalent – they were usually the first in the family to learn how to read – so everything they read was profound. Just like you. No comment on my 8:33 facts?

Here is some clamoring for Obama to release his transcripts from the left”

“There are times, however, when even ill-intended or even conspiracy leaning egotists have a point. Such is the case of those, including many disappointed or disbelieving birthers, who have shifted their focus to demanding the release of President Obama’s college and law school transcripts. Mitt Romney, who initially hesitated on releasing his tax returns, has apparently released his transcripts. Hopefully, his vice president will as well. Such transcripts, like tax returns and medical records, and some criminal records, are private by law unless voluntarily waived. American voters, however, notwithstanding the motives of some advocates, have an overriding interest in transparency for objective, even old, information about the formative adult years of those seeking the highest office in the nation. ”
