Some interesting lines from USA Today:
Former House speaker Newt Gingrich, on the eve of suspending his roller coaster presidential bid, said in an interview with USA TODAY that he will embrace Mitt Romney’s candidacy Wednesday and is ready to campaign for his former rival’s election — and that Romney in turn will help him retire his campaign debt.
The two men will make a joint appearance in a few weeks, when Gingrich will make an official endorsement.
In a phone interview Tuesday, Gingrich said he had no regrets about his decision to run for president, though he added, “I have regrets about not being smarter about how to run.”
There have been rumors – and right now they are only rumors – that a state GOP convention in Columbus on May 19 could serve as a setting for a staged meeting of the two men. Chris Kelleher, a spokesman for state Republican party, said the convention agenda currently makes no allowance for such an event.
However, Gingrich is already a twice-featured speaker that weekend. (On the other hand, Romney has a fund-raiser scheduled in Atlanta on June 11.)

I’ll always write this: Speaker Gingrich made Governor Romney a better candidate. Governor Romney has impeccable credentials from saving a lost girl to saving the Olympics. He is a man with a hard work ethic, integrity and a solid business acumen. Governor Romney believes in the free markets, loves his family and has a strong belief in the Lord Almighty in his own special way. The fact is that WE THE PEOPLE have suffered enough under a Euro-socialistic-Godless-centered government. It’s time to correct all of these errors and the man who WILL accomplish this important task WILL be the honorable Governor Willard “Mitt” Romney. I pray that both Speaker Gingrich and Herman Cain will get on the Romney bus and help Him become our next president.
Amen,
Bill

What a cliff hanger! The suspense! The drama! I will not sleep until I see Speaker Gingrich utter the words, “We endorse thee, Williard Romney.” This is such exciting news. How will our nation bear to wait a few weeks? Oh, the pain. Or the agony. Oh the anxiety. What a joke.

Regardless of what ol’ Newt says in his endorsement of Mitt, his ill-spoken critical remarks of Mitt will resonate over and again in the general election. Ol’ Newt would endorse Ron Paul if he’d pay off his $4 mil debt.
So, the Greyhoud bus campaign ends fforoand Newt tries to show he’s the man for the VP.

This speculation is obviously not newsworthy, but a journalist has to write something – that’s their job. The criteria is to say something that will drive AJC’s web traffic, and that doesn’t require a lot of effort. What will most likely decide this year’s election is the Supreme Court’s decision to allow anonymous billionaires to buy it. The republican candidate could just as well be Donald Duck – it’s really irrelevant.

While a natural majority here on the AJC are liberals who are not representative of the Georgia electorate, there were conservatives sniping back yesterday. It was like a 1st grade recess with Billy and Bobby shouting back and forth “is not”, “is too” (except much longer, painful diatribes). Obama’s New Campaign Slogan “Forward!” Is a Hitler Youth Marching Tune (Video)
Nope. But I’ll say it anyway, or rather Hitler and Goebbels will.
‘Only the means are different for the various socialist branches, but the principle is the same for all: the end justifies the means. Joseph Goebbels, propaganda minister of Hitler, is quoted in Germany with the statement “… it is not for nothing that we have chosen the name National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP), because at heart we are Communists.” Briefing his generals before the invasion of the Soviet Union in June of 1941, Hitler told them that he wanted to bring them “real socialism.” His declared intention was to destroy the Christian churches after victory.’
The real threat to America: Godlessness
‘”We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions.” –Adolf Hitler
(Speech of May 1, 1927. Quoted by Toland, 1976, p. 306)’

How about supporting H&N’s stands on family values or going back into Iraq, or putting boots on the ground in Iran, Lybia, North Korea, and even re-invading Iraq? Dixiecrats chasing their tails.

td, what a snob!! SAT scores. We see where your world is centered. I’m not going to waste my time on such a stupid challenge but if I were to do so on a national basis for all adult Americans, I think you would lose big time. At any rate, our Constitution does not have an SAT requirement and, by case law, even literacy tests are unconstitutional. This challenge just reveals your own narcissism. You think that just because you are a pretty smart fellow, everyone who disagrees with you is stupid. At any rate, there is such a thing as common sense, as in “don’t p*** on my boot and tell me it’s raining.” Overall, I trust the American people to know when this is happening…no matter how much money you righties have.

SAT score is an indicator of intelligence level and is the one that I chose to use to show the fallacy in his argument. Do you have a different indicator you would like to use? National debt has risen by $5 trillion dollars over the past three years

Food prices up 40% since Obama took office
