Secret Service intends to ‘follow up’ on Ted Nugent’s comments about Obama

We told you this morning about the curious comment that rocker Ted Nugent, a Mitt Romney fan, made at an NRA convention in St. Louis:

”If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”

Here’s the context of Nugent’s remark, made in the midst of a tirade against the Obama administration and the U.S. Supreme Court:

The U.S. Secret Service, which is having problems of its own, pronounced itself curious by what exactly Nugent meant. From USA Today:

“We are aware of the situation and we’re conducting an appropriate follow up,” said Brian Leary, a Secret Service spokesman.

The U.S.A is still the greatest country in the world because of the previous hard work of our democratic leaders. True democrats believe in spreading decision making power. Unlike republicans, we do no believe in a small segment of society crushing the voices of the majority of citizens. True democrats believe in giving ethnic minorities the maximum amount of freedom. For they can be ethnic minorities in the U.S.A, but they can also come from countries with rich histories and beautiful culture. The recent crackdown by republicans on ethnic minorities epitomizes evil. Added to this is the fact that Obama flashes a dollar bill in the air and gives African-Americans in the south an opportunity to take part in some truly disgusting behavior by ICE. For as long as republicans are in office, our destiny will be in the hands of drug-dealers, Pedophiles, thugs, prostitutes, Neo-Nazis, and Gays/Lesbians! The hard-working and classy individual will continue to be suppressed. It is time for republicans to get the EFF out of our politics. They are not above the law. They currently are the law and the legislative majority at the state and federal level. We must restore Georgia to its full potential. Puffing on a doobie has not eradicated republicans from our legislature. The whole purpose of the republican party is to divide the people. The rich already control our financial capital. That is okay. They will not and cannot, however, control the decision making power of politics. That must be left to its citizens!!!

I just told a colleague that Jim Wooten and Jim Galloway have my utmost respect because they believe in The Constitution of the United State, namely freedom of speech. They allow people to post who have different opinions.

As my man Dr. Bobby Hemmit would say, most people are saying the same thing to one degree to another because the educational system have reduced them to automatons.

Amen?

Why can’t white people vote against Obama without being labeled a racist? In using such logic (or lack thereof), blacks or Hispanics that voted against Bush in ‘00 and ‘04 are also racist, correct? Oh, that’s right…only white people are racist and consistently stereotype other races. Only feeble minds would concoct such a weak argument as to why some white people are against Obama and his policies. Pathetic and ignorant…

Nuge believes so much in the constitution that he advocates shooting and killing criminal suspects on the street. He once stated on his blog that anyone who ever had a DUI was a criminal and should spend time in jail. Of course Nuge being so smart he forgot that GW Bush was Prez who strongly supported at the time and Cheney was his VP both with DUI’s. A few people had the nerve to point that out and were promptly banned from the blog.

Why the hell would I defend a constitution defender? Has the bill of rights prevented society from becoming free and sinless. I believe in a perfect society! By supporting weak constitutionalism, one supports giving people the power. Our constitution makes it impossible to amend laws! The law amending process is almost impossible. We all pay taxes, thus we must all be able to participate in the laws that govern our lives. A constitution is a good thing, but it must not crush the voice of the people! That is a true democracy. Even if we have a representative legislature, that is still not in essence a true democracy unless all constituents actively participate in politics. THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WILL BE THE END OF THE U.S.A AS WE KNOW IT!!! VOTE THEM ALL OUT!!!!!!

I am not advocating the selling off of individual states.
But the idea in history is not without precedent.
I was simply making the point that while the US economic situation is precarious, it is not without remedy.

The residents of said states can relocate, or learn to speak Russian, French or Spanish.

Judicial Review can also crush all hopes of a true democracy. 500,000 people want a certain law passed. They all agree that it should be passed! A judge looks at the constitution and places his verdict on what has been written down on paper. That is not the kind of world I want to live in! Georgia has roughly ten million people. A legislature of several hundred people should not have the power to rule over ten million people. That is not a representative democracy (Hence, Republican Party)! If that is not pure evil disguised as a political party, then I do not know what evil is!

Name 5 things Barack Obama has done for the black community ? What???
He flies into Atlanta for 3 hours and the cross dressing, closeted homosexual millionaire Tyler Perry get’ him 10 million dollars for his war chest ? Since blacks make up omly 12% of the population, and 65 % of the prison population he will have a tough time this go around.

TD, I am not saying that there is not GOVT corruption. Our “elected” officials must be a voice of the people…we do not have that today, it is all about who they can wooo to support them for re-election. The congress does not live in the same situations as those they are supposed to support, they have enacted laws that give then benefits (including yearly raises) beyond what they “should have”, different healthcare, continuing salaries, even when they are out of office, etc….we need to change those laws to make them be in line with what the public is getting, not above them, and this will take a “congressional” cleaning and putting in those who are in line with what their constituents want them to have. Power corrupts, and they have all fallen into that. We need to change the laws so that the “people; vote on all they are introducing. This has gotten out of control on both parties, every bill should be vote upon by the public, before it is put into law. The taxpayers need to be in control of everything they do.

It is like how the PREZ sez he don’t want to rush to judgement until all the facts are in but yes he would be MAD should the allegations hold water concerning his secret service agents.REALLY? WHY then did he have to chime in with “HIS OPINION” concerning the shooting of Trayvon Martin before ALL the FACTS were in? That is not a matter that the PRESIDENT of these United States should be voicing his opinion on, knowing how much weight it carries with people on such a volatile subject! Just like most of AMERICA we are only fed what the LIBERAL MEDIA deams newsworthy! What happened to the good ol’ days of Walter Cronkite or Harry Reasoner or Huntley/Brinkley where they gave us the news as it happened BUT gave us credit for being smart enough to digest it without the liberal or conservative SLANT,spinning it to suit THEIR political agenda? Look before I leap...

April 17th, 2012

@Ronin

I was not speaking to current economic policy.
Only your assertion that the US is bankrupt.

The sooner we get away from the media soundbites and recognize and take the time to truly understand the true problems, the better off we will be when it comes to electing the people who propose plans that will actually move us forward.

National world and economic theories are complex and difficult to understand and there is rarely consensus even amongst the educated and the experts.

I would make this challenge: Do 10 minutes of online research about the current $15+trillion in US debt. While I’m not a huge fan of Wiki, they do a decent job of boiling it down to the essentials.
Then, go into your place of employment tomorrow and ask 5 people you know are smart are well educated and ask the following questions:

1. What is the total US debt? Most responses will likely be in the ballpark
2. What portion of that is “public debt”? Bet your get blank stares on that
3. What constitutes the “non-public” portion of the US debt? Bet you see eyes glaze over on that
4. What is the ratio of current US debt to annual GDP? Bet they walk away on that.

The idea is not to come across as a smarty-pants, the idea is to illustrate, that if the US economy is the #1 issue for the upcoming election in Nov (as poll after poll indicates), would it not be a good idea to understand at least in a basis way, what is meant by “economy”?

Ronin, I respectfully disagree with you that the Ted Nugents represent humankind’s future. Just as human knowledge has grown by leaps and bounds within the last few decades (even the number of facts on Google seem infinite, especially when compared with those facts known only 15 years ago), I believe humankind’s spiritual evolution will also multiply by leaps and bounds within the next century – leaving far in the distance the crudely shriveled spirits of the Ted Nugents.

The Roman Empire was controlled by a series of dictators who fell from power from within having been killed by their own guard. That happens in a world based on power. Power is hierarchial in nature. The world is becoming more egalitarian, than hierarchial, in consciousness. (We no longer have kings, queens, and popes, for example, who wield the kind of power over others that they once did.) The formation of America with her underlying premise (penned by Jefferson) that all are created equal has been a part of that growing egalitarian world consciousness.

Now, that spirit of egalitarianism will grow by leaps and bounds just as knowledge has. President Obama understands that egalitarian consciousness. George W. Bush did not. Dick Cheney did not. Mitt Romney does not.
