Some interesting paragraphs on Newt Gingrich, from the Huffington Post:
“My greatest fear for Newt is that a month from now, if he’s not gathering delegates, people are going to ask why the federal government is paying (to protect) his campaign. I say that as his friend,” said Matt Towery, a former Gingrich adviser and political commentator who has known Gingrich for 32 years.
Gingrich aides emphasized that the staff cutbacks, and a plan for Gingrich to reduce his travel, did not amount to giving up.
“It’s not possible for us to get 1,144 delegates before the convention, but it looks like neither will (front-runner Mitt) Romney or (Rick) Santorum,” Gingrich chief of staff Patrick Millsaps told MSNBC.

Dear td,
hey there honey, gosh, I’m sorry you couldn’t answer my question. I didn’t mean to sound like such a big meanie. I should have never have implied the subject of Newt is relevant on Jim’s blog. I can see why you didn’t answer me. For me to imply that Newt is relevant in Georgia was rude of me. Forgive me????

You better get ready my friend because Romney is about the be attacked relentlessly by the left. They are going to pull up his unethical behavior, bad business deals and how he been ruthless in his business dealings. They will make him look so bad that his own wife will think he is horrible. All of these attacks will mean no more to me then the attacks on Obama because it is all about leadership and philosophy. Newt was the speaker of the house and lead the Republican revolution and is closer to my philosophy then Mitt is. The stuff that will come out on Mitt will look just as bad as Newt.

“Gingrich is an ego-maniac who does not care what he does to his party or what he wastes of taxpayers money. He just loves as much limelight he can get, even when he has lost any chance of being a party leader in ANY capacity.”
td, look what the evil leftists said about Newt. Disgusting.

Newt can duck behind his wife’s bullet-proof hair for protection. No need for our tax dollars to protect him.

Right now Newt is irrelevant. Support and focus needs to shift to Romney.

Anyone want to make a bet as to how much longer Newt’s “conversion” will last? And how much longer Newt and Callista will be a couple? And who will leave whom?
Newt never needed protection. His fawning following would take a bullet for him, and be happy to do so.
Good one, Linda S.!

Doesn’t noots still have a couple of disgruntled ex-wives on the loose?
I would imagine he would like ‘protection’ in perpetuity!

td,
And I would bet that even your side will have a thing or two to say about the magic underwear before it is over, and the President is re-elected.
