A spokeswoman for Herman Cain confirmed this morning that the former GOP presidential candidate was approached by ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” to appear on this season’s competition
.
But Cain nixed the idea. “He can’t dance in an eight-count. He can only dance in a nine-count,” said Lisa Reichert, Cain’s executive assistant.
Nine-count. Get it? 9-9-9.
“Dancing with the Stars” has learned the advantages of mixing the quick-step with politics. Its 2010 season featured Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin, and former U.S. House majority leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas.
But wait, there’s more. USA Today reports that show producers were also eyeing Michele Bachmann.
Competitors for the 2012 season are to be announced Feb. 28. No doubt an attempt to compete for attention with that day’s primaries in Michigan and Arizona.

Aunt Bea,
Herman chose to be in the public eye when he ran for office. No one made him do it. And he could not bear up under the scrutiny. It is not being hypocritical to point that out. But I see he is still on the radio on WSB sometimes. Guess he is not going to go away that easily.

I appreciate Herman’s judgement in turning down the DWTS invite. He’s embarrassed his family enough for a life-time.
In my wildest imagination I can stretch my brain around the idea than any candidate would want Ol’ Herm for the VP — the only thing he’d bring to the table would be a truck load of misery and negative baggage.

You can tell a black Democrat by the venom they spew at black conservatives. Black folks are the only group that is 97% for one political party. Hispanics, whites and Asians have the good sense to divide their loyalty in order to conquer the attention of all political parties. Meanwhile, blacks(adults and teens) have the highest percentage of unemployment in America after electing the first black president who consistently say he will not do anything specifically for blacks because it would make him look like he is favoring one group over another. Talk about stepping and fetching.

Have you seen his polling in his own district (or the one in which he is moving to help his own troubled chance for re-election? You Republicans crack me up thinking just adding a minority face to your ticket will improve your chances with the AA vote.
