Five days out, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney has only one campaign appearance scheduled in Atlanta next Wednesday. But it’ll cost you $1,000 to see him – in a 6 p.m. general reception at the W Hotel Midtown in Atlanta. The 5:30 p.m. VIP reception entrance fee is $2,500.

$1,000 per plate? That’s chump change to Romney. A quarter of his campaign cash comes from 41 people.
You know who has his ear.

I hope the head honcho of the local Mormon tabernacle shows up and asks him where the nearly $700,000 he under-tithed in 2010 is.

Maybe they will ask Obama and the miserly Biden about their giving too. Obama seems a lot more generous with our money than he is with his.
Obama is still raking in the big bucks. More money last election than anyone in history.

Look before…; I didn’t know you Socialists knew what “tithe” meant. Well, sort of: you actually mean the extra 10% the stinking, rotten, bast–ds that are rich and that represents their additional “fair share.” I jumped the gun at first but forgot I read the Socialists Manifesto and it explains how the Rich are to be demonized, drawn-and-quartered and their money stolen by the Gummint.
double; the poor? you mean the 99%? Sure as hell they do, double, they are the ones that vote for him so the Socialist Democrats can keep them on the plantation. Yeah, he has their ear. Gimme some of the same free $$$$ and I’ll vote for him too.

Willard’s been getting his tongue rattled lately trying to state things. Reminds me of a classic quote of his father, George, then Governor of Michigan, while running fot the GOP nomination for President in 1968. When trying to clarify what he said when misquoted by the Press, Gov. Romney replied, “I didn’t say, ‘I didn’t say it.’ I said, ‘I didn’t say, ‘I said it’.” Can anyone diagram that?

Upon further reflection, I allowed my snarkiness to get the better of me. Mitt and his relationship with his church is HIS business and I should not be commenting on it.
My only defense is that the discrepancy was pointed out to me originally by a Mormon friend of mine.

Clinton’s “definition of the word “is” is…” was far more efficient but no less insulting.

He’s a career candidate. He can claim he’s an outsider but he’s a chameleon that takes on whatever majority is present to win office. He’s in the private sector – he’s the great capitalist. He’s in MA running for Senate – he’s more liberal than Ted Kennedy. He’s in MA running for governor – he’s more liberal than O’Brien. Oh wait! He’s running for President – he’s seen the light on abortion, etc. and even hunts varmints. He fails. He runs again – he’s the second coming of Ronald Reagan saying he’s far more conservative than Newt or anyone else.
The man is an opportunist people. He moved from UT to MA to put a feather in his cap to run for President. He’s run for office 3 other times and only won once. His only experience in elected office was moderate at best and with failed policies. Republicans who were fed up with the likes of Dole, W, and McCain have stupidly sold out again for this guy. And judging from this invitation, the rubber stamp, “so far up the tailpipe all you see is shoelaces” crowd is all lining up. Don’t worry Sasha and Malia….daddy’s gonna be there four more years.

It’ll be interesting to see what Mitten has to say when he comes to town. It should a good speech with that ticket price. I wonder what plan he’ll offer to create jobs beyond the standard cut taxes and eliminate regulations.
We already know Ol’ Newt is concerned about jobs and what he’ll do — he’ll build a colony on the moon. I don’t know how many new jobs that’ll involve, but the commute is a b@#ch!

Romney had best bring along endorsers Christine “I’m not a Witch” O’Donell, Sue “Pay the Doctor with Chickens” Lowden and Donald “Birther” Trump, if he has aspirations of out-clowning the retinue assembling around Gingrich. Georgia Republicans do have a predilection for clowns these days.

1. Even though some Dixiecrat politicians use campaign contributions for personal use, donations made to a political campaign are not classified as personal income. 2. Some Dixiecrats really believe that we would be in better shape with John “I don’t know much about the economy” McCain. 3. Regarding Willard’s “not being concerned about the 5% who are rich or the poor” comment. We can agree that the top 2% are rich, so that means Willard thinks 3% of Americans are poor. Well at last count is was 15.1%, so he only missed 37 million people. 4. Since George W. Bush used the debt leveraging model as his basis for fiscal and economic policies, would some Dixiecrat please explain what Willard has to offer? .

Let us talk about President Obama’s upcoming February Receptions out in Hollywood for the stars and assorted others.
Now, for the “Platinum Reception”, You can have dinner with President Obama at a private home. That will cost you $71,600.
Now, the Gold Reception will get you a reception and photo opportunity and 1 seat for dinner. That will cost $38,000. not at private home
Now, the Silver Reception. The person will get “general admission” to a February event and a “photo Op” with Michelle Obama. That will
be only $15,000.
Now for $1000.00 you can go to a reception for Mitt Romney in Atlanta.
Let us have perspective, President Obama may say, let us soak it to the rich, those are his “supporters” and they will “shine” for him out in Hollywood, that is where the money is.

Too bad we didn’t get an invote to the Koch Brothers gathering out in California. Seems like they raised over a $100 million to defeat the Prez — even though they’re living in boom time under the Obama adminstration while most of the country is in bust mode.
I think it must be a philosophical difference they have with the Prez. Nothing more. It’s tough to get Democrats to buy into a political movement that is determined to create The Gilded Age Revisited. If he were still around, Ol’ Mark Twain could write a sequel.

To those Dixiecrats who say that President Obama going to Hollywood for a fundraiser is a bad thing forget that: (1) they support them having tax cuts in order to pay to go to the fundraiser. (2) The Dixiecrat Super Pacs just write huge checks and forget about the rubber chicken and photo ops. Dixiecrats chasing their tails. Sad.
