Four polls show a Romney-Gingrich barn-burner in S.C.

Four polls of South Carolina voters in the last 24 hours agree that the first-in-the-South contest between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich is tightening – and is likely to shift again in the next 24.

After all, we’ve got a CNN debate to get through tonight, and the late-night broadcast by ABC News of an ex-wife. Tweets this morning indicate that Marianne Gingrich, the second wife of the former U.S. House speaker, will allege that – before their divorce — her husband asked for an “open” marriage.

One would assume that the conversation is one that Gingrich repented of when he converted to Catholicism. A statement issued by the Gingrich campaign quoted his two daughters, Jackie Cushman and Kathy Lubbers, about the divorce:

“Anyone who has had that experience understands it is a personal tragedy filled with regrets, and sometimes differing memories of events.”

But about those polls. This morning, there’s the NBC/Marist poll:

As the Republican presidential candidates crisscross the Palmetto State in the days leading up to Saturday’s South Carolina primary, Mitt Romney leads Newt Gingrich, 34% to 24%, among likely Republican primary voters including those who are undecided yet leaning toward a candidate based on interviews conducted on Monday and Tuesday.

But the Tuesday half of the poll, conducted after the Monday debate on Fox News, was sharply tilted toward Gingrich.

Politico.com also has a South Carolina survey out this morning, which shows Gingrich “within striking distance” of Romney. The poll “shows the former Massachusetts governor atop the GOP field with 37 percent and the former House speaker at 30 percent.”

And the Augusta Chronicle, whose circulation stretches into South Carolina, this morning is touting a Wednesday night, InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research poll that gives Gingrich the slight edge in a statistical tie over Romney – 32 percent to 29 percent, with a 3.8 percent margin of error.

And, of course, ahead of its debate tonight, CNN on Wednesday evening released a poll that had a nearly 20-point lead by Romney shrinking to 10 points. Their current line: Romney, 33 percent; Gingrich, 23 percent.

But CNN, too, noted that its survey straddled the Monday night debate, and results on one side of that divide were far different from the other.

No, Republicans are hypocrites as proven when Gingrich wanted a Open Marriage when he was impreaching our man Clinton. God has a special place in Hell for Hypocrites. Gingrich do not throw stone if you live in a Glas House. And do look at the splinter in Clinton eyes while you have a log in yours.

Why won’t Mitt release his tax returns?

Because they prove that he was born in Kenya.

Newt is a liar and not honest with the people. He talks marriage that it is between a man and a women. Newt doesn’t talk about himself cheating on his wives, commiting adultery. He would step all over you and take you down to be the front runner. He doesn’t want to talk about his faults. He talks about Mitts money in which he worked hard to make jobs for people. I don’t trust Newt. If he cheated with his wives, how can you trust him in the White House.

Would you trust Newt Gingrich to captain your cruise ship?

[...] Gingrich had to be gleeful when he heard that on the eve of the South Carolina primary election, Texas Governor Rick Perry announced he is dropping out of the 2012 presidential race following his not-so-stellar showings in Iowa and New Hampshire.  Then there was an extra piece of good news for Gingrich when Perry endorsed Gingrich’s campaign.  Gingrich had to be thinking that that if he does well in the second South Carolina debate, he might close what little gap remains between himself and Mitt Romney, turning the southern state’s primary event into what some are calling a “barn burner!” [...]

The Republicans are hypocrites. Gingrich was carrying on an adulterous affair while he was impreaching our man Clinton. Gingrich is a racist phony hypocrite. He should be censured by the House of Representatives for his hypocricy. He is a Racist and a Liar and an Adultrerer. President and First Lady Barack Hussein and Michelle Obama shall win on November 6th, 2012. Freedom Now1111

Not a WORD about Dr. Paul, once AGAIN. Even though he clearly won the debate, and even won CNN.COM’s poll (among others!):

http://www.prisonplanet.com/initial-results-show-that-ron-paul-won-the-south-carolina-republican-debate.html

Oh, I know, they’re just “online polls,” but what are the credentials for the polls cited by the author? NBC??? You mean the company owned by GE, who manages to pay exactly NO CORPORATE INCOME TAX??? Talk about being in bed with those pulling the strings! Yeah, I’m sure that poll is on the up and up!!!

There is a reason the media continues to ignore Ron Paul. It’s because they’re terrified of him. He is the ONLY candidate who can beat Obama. Without a doubt.
