Des Moines, Iowa – Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Jon Huntsman and Rick Santorum have allied themselves with Rick Perry in an effort to have their names placed on the Virginia presidential primary ballot.
Mitt Romney and Ron Paul were the only candidates to obtain the necessary — and vetted — 10,000 signatures.
Perry filed suit against the Virginia Republican primary and that state’s election board last week. Click here to read the letter from attorneys for the other four Republican candidates. It includes this:
Please be advised that the four Republican Candidates for President listed above will be filing a single, joint motion to intervene in the Virginia action.
In light of these developments, Congresswoman Bachmann, Speaker Gingrich, Governor Huntsman, and Senator Santorum respectfully request that the Board either take action to add them to the ballot mooting their challenges (and avoiding unnecessary costs and expenses to the state and the parties) or not undertake action until Judge Gibney has had an opportunity to hear from the parties on January 13, 2012.
Stefan Passantino, of the McKenna Long & Aldridge law firm in Atlanta, is representing Gingrich.

If Newt becomes President, can we immediately impeach him for his affair with his present wife while impeaching Clinton? I know he resigned after it came out, but his impeachment would be good for the gossip columists!

Today here in Republican Georgia an inefficient and costly mechanism grinds into operation to root out any practicing professional who may be an alien, but is otherwise contributing to our welfare. Regardless, its more likely that citizen medical and legal professionals will get caught-up in the gears, depriving us of their services too for at least awhile. Considering that, crops rotting in the field, qualified voters being disenfranchised, the utter waste of Iraq, I am supposed to be concerned about Republicans complaining of being ill served by another of their own contrivances?

For all the imbeciles that may be reading this, please be aware that I am typing this really slow so you can read it slow.
These are the same politicians who speak glowingly of states rights, same politicians who vehemently opposes the existence of trial lawyers, same politicians who want the government to dictate what marriage is, same politicians who will arrest any judge that disagree with their doctrine.
They are now running to the court to get a rule established by a state on how to get on the ballot in that state. Are they saying we need a standard rule across the country that eliminate the need to gather X number of signatures to be on the ballot? Are they proposing that the Federal government be responsible for organizing all elections? Wait a minute, they hate the Federal government and don’t want it interfering in states affairs.
Newt Gingrich resides in Virginia, he knows the rules about getting on the ballot in Virginia, he chose to wait till the very last week to start the process of gathering signatures required to get on the ballot in Virginia. (I saw him on TV admitting that he forgot that he needed to follow that process.) He then fail to gather enough signature in one week to qualify to be on the ballot. For those who didn’t follow all these, that was the real story here.
Any idiot will know that you cannot be President of the United States if people cannot see your name on the ballot. It will behoove anyone seriously running for the office to get on the ballot in all 50 states, even the ones you don’t like. That is the very first thing a man or woman worthy of being elected President will do, Get on the darn ballot.
These crop of Republicans makes Barney Five look competent and they want the opportunity to run the most complex organization the world have ever seen. I am surprised that Rick Perry, a guy that just ran for re-election in Texas last year did NOT know that he need to get on the ballot in other states.
They are all focused on IOWA where the caucus system does not require a ballot hence no need to get on a ballot except for the real presidential election. These fools do not know the difference between a primary state and a caucus state.
Am I shocked, NO, we have lowered the bar for running for office to a point where Herman Cain can be considered a serious candidate. I am pretty sure Mr. Cain did not know about getting on the ballot either.

It is unprecedented how both partys and almost every press outlet and every blogger on the internet have all been running negative storys against the brave Newt Gingrich. He has been treated like public enemy number one by the entire media machine of our country. Have we become like all other dictatorships being told who to vote for? Meanwhile, the sitting president continues to move our nation closer to socialism each day. The media chooses to give him a pass. Another trillion dollar increase in our debt is being asked for, without the accompanying list of spending cuts of course, and nobody says a word..The media has decided to pick Romni as the republican candidate due to his liberal record. The republican media is going along with the liberals choice, even though the country wants Newt. If this plays out, we are finished as a nation.

“The BRAVE Newt Gingrich?”
The COUNTRY wants Newt?
Which is the “BRAVE” Newt? What precisely has he done to merit the adjective “BRAVE”?
Which country are you referring to? Surely not the one we live in–with the polls that consistently show him at the bottom of the barrel–that is, unless it’s a southern state…and, when you consider where southern states stand academically, that all makes sense…
thanks-you, and that Katie person who is still in denial about Obama’s citizenship status, have provided me with the first bonafide laugh of the new year…more to come with the current crop of
Republicans who can’t even follow the rules to get on a ballot…State’s rights? Only when it is convenient!

ERIC HOLDER was too busy selling weapons to the Mexican drug cartels. Didnt have time to investigate wall st crooks. Maxine Waters husband owns a small bank that received 20 million in TARP funds? Waters was accused of violating three ethics rules. Mizz Waters is in line to be chairwoman of the banking committee when Barney retires..LOL…Charlie Rangel tax evasion? A congressional ethics subcommittee found the veteran representative guilty of 11 ethics counts. Kerry and his boat docking scandal saving 500,000 in sales tax docking it in different state than where he lives? Corzine missing 1.5 billion in investor money? LOL…Oblamey wasting 2 years forcing Obamacare down our throats, and Dudd-frank housing market killer, instead of jobs bills and deficit reform? Nancy Pelosi is facing accusations of cronyism after a solar energy project, which her brother-in-law has a stake in, landed a $737 million loan guarantee from the Department of Energy, despite the growing Solyndra scandal. Who could forget the male call-boy service being run out of Barney Franks condo? There all the same ethically. DEN OF THIEVES! But Newt was expelled for being paid to write a book? I attempted to have Ralph Nadar on the ballot in GA a few years back. I discovered while working with a third party that we needed 50,000 signitures from registered voters. But in reality, we needed 100,000 due to the state will throw out about half. The two parties invented this to prevent a 3rd party from running, getting on a ballot in each state and winning. Instant run off would also help. This allows 3rd and 4th parties to thrive. Vermont does this. But what do those over educated liberals know anyway.

Why do people keep saying we are finished as a nation. This nation is resilient, and just because a few candidates don’t have sense enough to get on a ballot, especially Newt, our country will not end. Obama was a community organizer before he became a senator. He had lost races, before he won one, so he learned from his mistakes. Newt is from the priviledged class in our society, and many rules have been overlooked in his and his fellow candidates favor in the past, just by showing their faces, hearing their names. But this time, that won’t work, because the world is watching.

Isnt it interesting Cuccinelli is pushing the emergency change in the law in Virginia? He is the states attorney general and has the right to do what he is doing. So unless you have information pertaining to this change, the entire story is moot. As are all the negative comments being posted by the muslim presidents operatives and the mormon cult leaders operatives. So if you dont like my comments..feel free to skip over them. You arent the moderator. Now move along little muslim socialist.
Heres a little clip from wikipedia about sharia law regarding lending and interest:
“The laws of contract and obligation are also formed around this egalitarian Quranic requirement, prohibiting unequal exchanges or unfair advantage in trade. On this basis, the charging of interest on loans is prohibited, as are other transactions in which risks are borne disproportionately to the potential returns between parties to a transaction. The limits on personal liability afforded by incorporation are seen as a form of usury in this sense, as is insurance. All these inequities in risk and reward between parties to a transaction, known collectively as riba, are prohibited.[85] For this reason, Islamic banking and financing are partnerships between customers and institutions, where risk and reward are distributed equitably. ”
So that would explain dodd frank redlining all lending, effectively…it is sharia compliant, sorta. As a matter of fact, the more I think about it, everything oblamey says goes along with that sharia explanation…all that fairness talk we keep thinking is socialist, is actually explained by the paragraph I just cut/paste from wiki…isnt it!!!! And Oblameycare is also explained by the sharia law rule of insurance being illegal, which is what Oblameycare will ultimately end up doing, ending all private health insurance.

To Katy the racist, I worked on Obama’s campaign in Indiana, and I know for a fact it was legit. No questions came up concerning authenticy. No fake this, or fake that. He visited towns where no other presidential candidate had ever gone before. He visited a little town named Marion Indiana, and played basketball with the high school players from other small cities. He worked his way through that state. We went door to door talking to people, and there were others who came from Texas and other states to work on the campaign. His campaign workers were working ahead of him, so that when he got there everything was in motion, and the rules were followed to the tee !!

It is commonly given as a male given name, particularly among Shias[1], in honor of Hussein ibn Ali. In some Persian sources the forms Ḥosayn, Hosayn, or Hossein is used.[2] On the Subcontinent or South Asia, the form used is “Hussain” or “Hossain” in the Bengal region.

Now back to reality. Oh yeah, the tax raising flip flopper romnI. LOL Romni says he’s a die-hard conservative. He says he’s not a flip-flopper. Yet…plenty of Republican voters don’t seem to believe him. They have plenty of reasons not to. As Romni has moved from Massachusetts politics to GOP presidential politics, he has famously reversed course on abortion rights, gun control, gay rights, and health care reform. And it’s all on video. Still, Romni keeps on denying any somersaults, but not convincingly. (See: Bret Baier.)Now there’s new video out showing that Romnni has indeed pulled a 180 on his entire political persona. And it’s in Romni’s own words. In 2002, when he was running for governor in Massachusetts,
he issued a strong declaration of his basic principles while campaigning in Worcester: “I think the old standby definitions of who votes for which party have been blown away in this campaign. I think people recognize that I’m not a partisan Republican—that I’m someone who is moderate, and that my views are PROGRESSIVE.”
Vote for Newt Gingrich! A true conservative and resident of Virginia! LMAO Virginia with one candidate on ballot. Big deal!

RomnI should have run as a democrat…a true PROGRESSIVE!(socialist). I will not be fooled by this blatant liar…no matter how many millions he spends trying to redefine himself. This man has no core principles. Say anything, all he is. 100% pandering is all hes doing. Like an actor playing a role in a movie.
RomnI raised nearly $500 million by doubling fees for various services and “closing loopholes” in the corporate tax structure. Furthermore, RomnI’s signature cuts in wasteful programs and duplicate agencies saved only about $10.5 million dollars, according to an estimate by the independent, nonpartisan Massachusetts Taxpayer Foundation. More significant was the $277 million that RomnI cut from the state’s local education aid budget and the $130 million cut from higher education, moves that shifted at least part of the tax burden onto towns and counties. The state budget was indeed projected to be $3 billion short. But as it turned out, the projection was way off. The state eventually took in about $1.3 billion more in capital gains taxes than had been expected. In addition, $500 million in unanticipated federal grants further reduced the predicted shortfall. Thus, the $3 billion shortage turned out to be only $1.2 billion.

I like Newt Gingrich! I think he has a proven track record of both balancing our nations budget, and creating jobs, over 11 million! We need big ideas and solutions to get out of the mess were in. While Romni has extensive business background, his only public record in our government is filled with tax and fee increases in Massachusetts. As well as creation of an expensive new healthcare entitlement for that state, causing the need for all the new taxes and fees! That’s the equivalent of Obama! Newt is a more rational candidate and will focus on getting people back to work and correcting our foreign policy mess. He will also get our financial house in order. Romni, like Obama, thought “If I was in charge, I could fix things!”. LOL! Both were wrong as they both found out there are no dictators in this country. It takes years of experience and skill to alter the path of our country in a positive way without sinking the ship. Newt Gingrich knows how to get things done. Romni like Obama talks a good game, but neither know how to get things done. Both fell prey to the legislature beneath them due to there inexperience. We have no time for either of them. Its time for Newt Gingrich, warts and all! I will proudly vote for him! http://www.newt.org http://www.usdebtclock.org.

Anyone who really cares about the gross disparities in state ballot requirements should go to www(dot)ballot-access(dot)org and look over their well-documented site. I certainly don’t agree with changing rules mid-stream, but the more important take home message is that these clowns want things changed NOW THAT IT HURTS THEM.
The republicans and democrats are responsible for EVERY law that restricts access to candidates nationwide. They are both completely to blame for the laws that serve to protect incumbents from competition, the two major parties from any serious competition from third parties, etc. Jimmy Carter works tirelessly in foreign countries to “insure” equitable elections but doesn’t give a damn about the inequities all over this country. The Federal Government signed the Copenhagen Accord many decades ago that was supposed to insure fair elections in every country that signed. Many of the state laws on ballot access blatantly violate that accord but the federal government doesn’t care because these laws help ensure their re-elections.
As an example, no 3rd party candidate has even been able to qualify for the ballot in Georgia since 1935! And that candidate was a Socialist Party candidate. I guess it hardly matters that the socialist party never was able to field another candidate as virtually every repubican and democrat running for congress from GA has been a socialist anyway, but you get the point. It is actually easier to get on the ballot in the former Soviet Union than it is in many US states.
Let these crybabies suffer their own consequences, but we should all work to demand serious change for ALL ballot access laws accross the nation. We are never going to get serious change from the democrats and the republicans, so making the option for a 3rd party viable may be our only way to avoid violent revolution by allowing peaceful revolution at the ballot box.
