Feds consider challenge to Georgia’s illegal immigration law

Just up at the Washington Post website:

The Obama administration is escalating its crackdown on tough immigration laws, with lawyers reviewing four new state statutes to determine whether the federal government will take the extraordinary step of challenging the measures in court.

Justice Department attorneys have sued Arizona and Alabama, where a federal judge on Wednesday allowed key parts of that state’s immigration law to take effect but blocked other provisions.

Federal lawyers are talking to Utah officials about a third possible lawsuit and are considering legal challenges in Georgia, Indiana and South Carolina, according to court documents and government officials.

GA Dawg, Do you want some statistics? Dalton Public Schools are 70% Hispanic. 85% of the outstanding warrants on the Dalton Police Department blog are Hispanic – look for yourself – I’m sure a smart guy like you can google the info. The Health Dept. is broke, the hospital is wrecked, half of the drivers on the road have no license. Everyone in town either has been involved in an accident with an illegal alien, or knows someone who has. Drive up to Dalton and take a look. It is a third world slum, in every respect, because of fools like yourself. You don’t have a clue.

Illegals have not only drained state and federal resources, pay few if any taxes, but have also taken jobs that many americans would beg for.I personally want to see all of them go back to Mexico and hope to never see another Mexican ,period.

This must be the laziest way ever to get page views. Just lift something from the Washington Post and just bask in the comments. By the way, as a regular reader of said Post, it has thousands of posts on this red meat topic. I guess they read and write more up there. Here you need to have UGA take a dump or something to get a thousand hits. GO DAWGS!

Obama, here is a clue for you. Put troops on the borders to stop the illegals and the drug cartels. Enforce the current immigration laws to the tee (not just the way you wish to interpret them). Prosecute the employers for hiring illegals.

Pat… you sure have some anger on you regarding the current state in the city of Dalton. Where you run out of town by some Latino up there or something!? However, It would be nice when folks such as yourself, would also post the source of all those numbers you throw in. It is just the educated thing to do, you know, so that readers can actually to try and grasp that what you are saying is factual. But than again, when your kind just go on a statistics throwing spree, you could care less if what you say it’s right or not.

Hey charlie, I’m sure you are dying to get into one of those onion picking jobs that you are craving for. I hear that there are about 15k of those positions available. you know, the ones that American citizens are begging for. I guess they haven’t heard about the openings, because the Governor is thinking about putting criminals to fill those openings. I guess we can count on you to take one of those openings. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Is part of the oath a President takes to uphold the Constitution and enforce the laws of the USA? Do Congressmen and women take a similar oath?

Can the individual states sue the Federal Government for not enforcing its laws and recover the costs the states–and its residents who are citizens of the USA–have incured because of the Federal Government has deliberately ignored its responsibility to enforce the laws of the USA?

The below is a little written document to let you libs know how us conservatives really feel:

The following was written by State Representative Mitchell Kaye from Cobb County, GA.

PREAMBLE: We, the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great gr…andchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt-ridden, delusional and other liberal bed wetters. We hold these truths to be self-evident: that a whole lot of people were confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of No Rights.

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing you anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone – not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but accept the fact that the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we’re just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don’t be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won’t have the right to a big-screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You don’t have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We hate oppressive governments and won’t lift a finger to stop you from going to fight if you’d like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.

ARTICLE IX: You don’t have the right to a job. All of us sure want all of you to have one, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE X: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness – which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

Folks, lets remember that while many of us may like this law, any GOP candidate that supports this bill can essentially kiss the hispanic vote goodbye! Don’t think this matters? Well, to beat Obama, votes in heavly hispanic states will be needed. Any GOP official that says votes from California, Oregon, Washington State, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, New York or even Florida are not important they are lying. Also, its probably no secret to the Obama election team that most people in Georgia, Alabama and perhaps Arizona had not intention of voting for him in 2012. Thus, there is no political risk associated with challenging the immigration laws in court. For the Georgia GOP to pass this bill now is more of a headache than a benefit.

If the federal government would enforce the immigration laws like it’s supposed to, and which we pay it to do through our taxes, they wouldn’t need to sue the states. It’s that simple.

I absolutely LOVE the comments about how the rate of illegal entry into the US have dropped over last few years … Could it be that there has been a lower level of economic activity – commonly called a MAJOR recession? Could it be the separate state efforts to reduce their individual attractiveness so the illegal population have fewer places to go? This is the BEST time to prepare for the FUTURE recovery that the government claims is just around the corner by eliminating the draws that bring the undocumented to us and PUNISHING the businesses that push their expenses off on the rest of us indirectly. And PLEASE NO more harping on the farming situation – they can bring in as many legal workers as they need – they just have to plan to use the tools supplied them for this activity like other businesses. The farms that didn’t this last crop season will in 2012. Time to move on to a real issue.

PLEASE STOP TELLING EVERYONE THAT HISPANICS can’t follow the immigration laws that the US has in place. This is really RACIST and used by groups who try to raise funding without actually understanding us. Hispanics are no different than other races, we can FOLLOW the law and just like other races, a small percentage are real criminals. PLEASE don’t say the standing up for the law will lose the vote of a complete race of people, this at best is EXTREMELY misguided. Are you actually going to say that all IRISH are drunks and shouldn’t have a drivers license?. Are you going to say that all black people are feeble minded and can’t support themselves? ENOUGH

tiny dog,

It is apparent how you guys feel.

I want to know how (and if you can) think.

The bill you reference is nothing but wrong wing bull.

But back to my first post on this thread, when are we going to see the MASS EMPLOYERS OF ILLEGALS frog marched into the jailhouse?
No jobs for illegal immigrants, no illegal immigrants (does anybody have any idea how hard it is for an expat gringo to get a job in Mexico City?).
The Employers are the ‘dealer level’ criminals. Put them in prison and sell their stuff to Citizens who will employ Citizens.
What is so impossibly difficult about that concept to absorb?

The employers are responsible for the illegals being here. You waste money exporting illegals ,more will replace those tommorrow.

How you stop illegals from coming??? They need to go back home and say the employers will not give me a job. The employers are to blame not illegals, no job they will leave.
The employer hire the illegals and push down wages for Americans. There is no excuse, there are plenty of Americans trying to get work.

The employer should have to pay $20,000 for each illegal found on his job site whether his employee or subcontractor’s because he is one responsible. He and subontractor should pay, and spend some time in jail.
What about confiscating his business like you take car/boat/house/money when someone is caught with drugs or breaking another law,

You have to blame your neighbor, businessman, contractor, restaurant if you see his work-site does not have a mixed group or too many workers not speaking English. See if your local police will check it out, but with businessman’s pull I do not know if you will get far.

Let the confrontation come…we are eager for the fray.

It is time to take the battle against the third word invasion of the West to the next level with NEW laws targeting illegals…how about a challenge to the Supreme Court’s flawed 5-4 ruling in Plyler v. Doe requiring taxpayers to babysit illegal alien children in public schools or the insane ruling giving American citizenship to children of illegal aliens.

Southern states’ laws against illegal aliens are causing them to leave and either self-deport or go to the “sanctuary” areas like California or New York. I am sure that the exodus of productive people from “blue” illegal alien-friendly states will escalate…that’s great! This is another reason that the Establishment wants to stop these laws…they escalate “The Big Sort” of America into communities of like-minded folk.

We do not need a bottomless pool of cheap labor for big business or an instant proletarian mob for deployment by marxist revolutionaries in this country. Post-1965 immigration has been a disaster for America and may cause its death.

Some bloggers here believe that anyone who wants to enter the US should be granted permission…essentially and open borders immigration policy.

US immigration policy should benefit the US and it’s citizens, not the other way around! I don’t care how “hard” it might be to enter the US legally, we are a sovereign nation and like most sovereign nations, the government should make decisions that aid their citizens.

We certainly do not need any more low-skilled workers in the US, we are graduating or failing to graduate from HS, plenty of US citizens that will HAVE to do these low skilled jobs or they shouldn’t be getting any unemployment checks.

Our population is swelling and second generation migrants will not work any harder than current US citizens. Our welfare system as it is currently executed, will only “develop” more slackers here in the US.

Get behind the efforts to pass a mandatory E-Verify bill (one is in the House right now) and deny jobs to illegal aliens…they will self-deport when the money runs out.

President Obama is considering placing stumbling blocks before Georgia’s attempt to defend the People from an openly published, organized invasion for conquest through the promotion and protection of illegal immigration by Hispanic Roman Catholics, orchestrated by the historic socio-political entity identified by America’s Founder as “the real Anti-Christ” but. doesn’t want to “crack down” on Bush and Cheney for having committed 9/11, though in “Audacity of Hope” he tacitly acknowledges their treason.

It is no coincidence he came from a confused, dysfunctional, perverse upbringing: As the twig is bent…

It is now time for Georgia and Atlanta, guided by Our Creed and twin prophets, Mr. Jefferson and Dr. King, to lead Our Nation from the the looming abyss.

Neither the Demublicans nor the Republicrats serve righteousness, though Governor Deal may truly be a blessing to us all.

We must reform and refound this Promised Land, by G-d.

John D:

You probably won’t read this, but just in case…

I read your criticism of JV’s comment about the costs that illegals immigrants impose on taxpayers. I noted that you poo-pooed these numbers just by saying “They came from FAIR.” That is not an argument. The numbers are the numbers. If they are accurate they are accurate. If they are not they are not. If you don’t think they are right you may want to provide some information. Name calling – FAIR is just a propoganda machine – contributes nothing.

ILLEGAL ALIENS CAN’T VOTE!! THEY NEVER HAVE!!

Disagree, show a legitimate example.

The ACORN lie won’t work either. ACORN was an independent organization that had been around for a long time. They registered otherwise disenfranchised CITIZENS. They registered poor people (which annoyed the top 2%). They were never an arm of the Democratic party or the Obama Administration (despite the brightbutt/fauxnewz lies).

Show an example or shut up and face the facts!!

If you do not believe illegals vote then you live in a dream world. Motor voter and ACORN has insured illegals vote. Motor voter require that every person applying for benefits in a welfare office be offered voter registration. Do you think illegals turn down the chance? How many states give illegals drivers licence. They get offered voter registration also.

I have a friend of Cherokee descent. He considers us to be illegal aliens too, and is about the only person I know who can address the issue with any moral authority.

Not so: Many Americans and more Southerners are part Native American, fulfilling the ancient prophesy – shared in the theology and prophecy of the Native Americans tribes who welcomed and assisted the Europeans as directed by the one single G-d – that all nations of the world will flow into a new nation – the New Israel – ruled only by Truth and Justice under G-d alone, a nation of true priests…sovereign individuals.

The Hispanic Roman Catholic illegal immigrants are an army of conquest orchestrated by the revealed Anti-Christ for whom Bushes and Rockefellers have treasonously labored for over a hundred years. Their stratagem is openly published for all to read: “National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry,” Publication / Office of Publishing and Promotion Services, United States Catholic Conference, No. 199-7, ISBN-13: 978-1555861995

Our Nation’s moral authority will begin to be restored after Bush and Cheney are brought to justice for 9/11. Prosperity will then follow. The DC Quake was but a warning.
