Bystanders rescue motorcyclist trapped under burning car

Especially in politics, you need the occasional reminder that the human race is worth saving:

For charity’s sake, we’ll assume the fellow in the business suit was the driver of the car — so stunned that he didn’t know what to do. The Salt Lake City Tribune has the details:

A motorcyclist who was dragged beneath a car Monday in Logan was rescued by bystanders who helped police lift the burning car and pull the man out from under the wreckage. He was reported to be in critical condition Monday night.

I’m assuming the man in the suit is the driver of the BMW….. he doesn’t offer ANY HELP. He just watches as everyone lifts the car. Those were angels at work!

What a bunch of Socialists, working together for the common good like that. They should have negotiated a fair free market price from the motorcyclist before agreeing to lift the car off him.

The guy in the suite must have been a banker or a Republican politician.
If bankers and Republican politicians were altruistic they could could be saving the country from certain doom the way that these fearless and wonderful people stepped in to save this man from probable certain death.Americans working together to accomplish a common goal is the only way to achieve positive results in life.
It is heart warming to see what unselfish and courageous folks will do for their fellow man.I hope the guy is recovering well, he has a lot to be thankful for.

Did they check to see if the cyclist had medical insurance first? If not, there is at least one group of republicans who would have recommended you let him burn…

Yemil, I agree with you, more than you know. And yes, for those not fluent in sarcasm, the comment about the insurance was sarcasm…

I probably don’t always spot sarcasm, but I’m batting a thousand when spotting stupidity.

And my alarm just sounded.

Awesome to see ordinary men and women of all stations, races and ages come rushing from every direction to help. Suit guy is first leaning on the back of (his?) burning car, so probably in shock. Our prayers are with the motorcyclist…

“…rescued by bystanders who helped police lift the burning car”

Kudos to the good Samaritans who came to the rescue. If you actually watch the video you’ll notice the cop only joined in the effort at the last second.

Your comments on here are almost as incredible as what these people did. These people didnt ask each other if they were on the same side of the political aisle and then decide to act, they saw a person in danger and took a second to figure out what to do and they did it. The only way they did do it is b/c the stood side by side with their hands on hot metal all together. When will everyone in this country realize that when we stand together for the good of our country as a whole we will be able to do incredible good for this country. But no instead we allow ourselves to be pitted against each other and split up into groups by the 2 parties who count on us to stay divided so that we have less strength…racial groups, working man against CEO, wallstreet against mainstreet, farmers, seniors, college kids, women, men, red state blue state. Wake up already people.

Comments like this make me glad I’m not going to live forever. Sooner or later bringing up politics for everything would make me beg for death. Geezus trolls, read a book or something.
