Newt Gingrich’s fund-raisers shift to Michele Bachmann

Texas Gov. Rick Perry isn’t getting all of Newt Gingrich’s former staffers. From the New York Times:

A [Michele] Bachmann spokesman said on Thursday that two established G.O.P. fund-raisers had joined Mrs. Bachmann’s campaign: Mary Heitman, who previously ran finance operations at the Republican National Committee and Republican Governors Association, and Jody Thomas, a onetime political director and fund-raiser for former Representative J.C. Watts.

Until last month, Ms. Heitman and Ms. Thomas were the core of Newt Gingrich’s presidential fund-raising operation. When most of Mr. Gingrich’s top aides resigned together in June over concerns about Mr. Gingrich’s focus and strategy, the two women soon followed.

They’ve already kicked in, but I’d be hesitant to call them benefits, cement overshoes in the economic ocean, would best describe them.

Everything is about race with you. You’re much like an old, deeply scratched LP that continually repeats itself. It must be closely akin to living in hell having to constantly view everything through those race-colored glasses.

Serious Roebuck, there shall be no further discourse between us. You are nothing but a race-baiter, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to play your game. If it is any consolation to you, I would say that you are a master at race-baiting, and do hereby proclaim you to be the master baiter.

I agree with Ghost rider. I support Obama as a family man and as a personal success story and as a role model. I hate his philosophy and politics. I think his socialist agenda is ruining this country and will do everything that I can to make sure he is not re elected and that every other socialist/progressive/liberal is out of office.

I think McConnell is going to get a lot of call for the people of the state of Ken. in the next few days that may change his mind. If not then I hope the good people of his state show him the door. I am one of those few people that think politicians should stick to their philosophy or hit the road.

You could’ve knocked me over with a feather to learn that you agree with Ghost Rider. That being said, if Obama’s a socialist, then my 92 year old mom’s one. Pure right wing blather, designed to paint the man with hopefully an indelible paint that won’t wash off until another incompetent republican is in the White House. That potato in the pants trick only works if the potato is in the front of your pants, and not the rear.

“Well Fredrick what do you call a person with the following agenda: Universal health care, redistribute wealth, and free housing for the poor”?

With the exception of the redistribution of wealth lie, I’d call that person a Canadian, a Brit, an Aussie, a Finn, an Israeli, or a New Zealander. I’d probably be inclined to call him Old timer, because his life span would be considerably longer than an American.

But you have to include the redistribution of wealth. Finland is a socialist nation, Canada and UK are very close to being socialist.

Like I said Obama is a socialist and wants to take us to European socialism. If I am not mistaken in Finland the government takes 70 to 80% of your income and in return gives you cradle to grave health care, pays for your education through college, guarantees you a job (where they feel is the best fit for you and the country) and gives everyone rent subsidies. Is this the way you want to live? Not me my friend.

Martin, it is my understanding that Mrs. Bachmann’s only work as a lawyer was done as a political appointee at the IRS for four years two decades ago. Otherwise she’s been in the faith healing business and cashes farm subsidy checks. She won’t be President, but she could be adept at spouting dis-information and propaganda on Fox News — that is, if its still around next year.

It is amazing to me that working class stiffs desire a plutocracy. Folks complain about socialism, but nary a word is spoken concerning the movement toward a plutocracy — with the largest gap between rich and poor and a diminishing middle class.

Jobs are outsourced to Third World countries so profits can be increased and stock options proffered and CEO’s make over 700 times the salary of the average worker in their companies.

When benefits like company sponsored healthcare and generous vacations are taken away to provide more benefits for the CEO’s and wealthy investors, you guys will have an epiphany — but not until then.

And, so it goes. . . .

I really hope Bachman gets it. Whenever she’s stumped in a debate, she can just start speaking in tongues.

That’s before she gets absolutely annihilated in the general election.
