Sharron Angle’s slap at Sue Everhart in state GOP race

In the race for state GOP chairman, former 9/12 leader Tricia Pridemore just showed us something new: An endorsement from Sharron Angle, the Nevada Republican who last year ran an unsuccessful campaign against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid – and is now a candidate for the U.S. House.

Angle takes a slap at Pridemore’s chief rival, incumbent GOP chairman Sue Everhart, who is seeking a third term:

“I am one who believes in limited power and respect for term limits as a means to ensure that those elected to represent us do not rest on their laurels and point to past accomplishments.

“These attitudes can surface at all levels of leadership within our party, and now is not the time to pat ourselves on the back for the big wins in 2010. We must leverage that momentum and use it to defeat Barack Obama in 2012.”

Angle was among a number of endorsements for Pridemore from tea partyists and 9/12 leaders.

In a recent investigation, the press finds that Nathan Deal has appointed almost all white, male contributors to positions in various commissions, etc.

Now, gee, there is a surprise!

As someone who is a big fan of Mrs. Angle, this endorsement puts my support in the Pridemore column. We need more people running for public office like Angle and Pridemore

Angle is an extremist. Pridemore must be desperate.

As a Democrat, I agree with Mark P. More people like Angle need to run for office. You realize she lost to Harry Reid who isn’t exactly Mr. Personality, right?

So now the Georgia Republican Party is taking counsel from a know-nothing from Nevada with a record of accomplishment showing exactly zero? This is simply not good news.

This just proves what most people have known for a long time: endorsements only matter to people who can’t think for themselves.
That’s not to say that endorsements don’t matter, but they aren’t a subsititute for competence and experience.

catlady, like Obama said, elections have consequences. Harry Reid’s re-election only confirms my opinion of Nevada voters as “idiots”.

We need more conservative leaders like Tricia Pridemore and Sharon Angle, not just Republicans who claim they are conservative, but go against our principles!

@catlady

Yes, that’s true about Deal. Now, where is your criticism of Obama, who appointed large donors and mostly black Democrats, many with a criminal past or without qualifications for the job, to positions in his administration? The only reason he appointed as many women as he did is because he needs someone to tell him what to do (i.e. Valerie Jarrett, Napolitano, and of course, the great Michelle “Eat as I say, not as I do” Obama). Or is that President Valerie Jarrett??

@ Joe Democrat

Reid was re-elected over Angle because of all his empty promises about illegal immigration, and all the fools continue to believe him! Notice that Nevada is now No. 1 – highest rate of unemployment in the US, and that the Dream (Nightmare?) Act is and will remain just a dream? Angle may have lost, but at least she lost honestly. Reid couldn’t tell the truth if his life depended on it, and certainly not if it would cost him re-election!

Actually Angle beat herself with a loose mouth. She simply could not stay on message. Every time a reporter asked her a question something really dumb came out of her mouth. Reid was trailing on the Friday before the election and won anyway. Reid stayed on message & Angle just could not do so.

Harry Reid definitely has his flaws, but who in their right mind thought that Sharon Angle was a better choice. She is off her rocker for sure. I still remember her getting all upset and talking about how “the press should ask the questions that we want them to ask us.” Seriously?

LOL, Sharon Angle spent tons of money and her campaign was a disaster. This is an endorsement Pridemore should have stayed way away from. Angle couldn’t message and showed her lack of knowledge every time she was interviewed. She was a HUGE disappointment to the Tea Party and all the money sent to her was flushed down the toilet covering up her mistakes. Pridemore is obviously desperate. Comical.

Tea-

Exactly right tea. Angle may have been the only human on Earth that couldn’t defeat Harry R. BTW, what term limit is Sue violating? Angle can’t even get the facts right now.

As a woman, it is so sad to me to see the likes of Palin, Angle and Bachman even getting news coverage. They are all so stupid, stupid, stupid! Politifact (an unbiased fact checker!) found that out of 21 statements that Bachman made, 16 were totally false. Angle is the same. She makes the most outrageous claims and people listen to her drivel. How can anyone with a brain listen to that idiot and think that she (or Palin or Bachman) have the intelligence to even walk a dog, much less make laws or be the President of the United States?

That is all the GA GOP needs is for someone from Nevada that blew a chance to take out Reid to tell us Georgians who to vote for in the GOP Chairman’s race.

Please check Sue’s web site for a list of additional supporters. Please also read the attachment for information about Sue. Please feel free to contact us with questions. We are here to answer any questions you may have. We have been on the front lines fighting for tea party values since February of 2009 and have met many of you at rallies and training events we have organized. We have attended numerous state conventions and can answer questions about that as well.

“TEA PARTY LEADERS FOR EVERHART” CONTINUES TO GROW!
Tea Party and 912 activists from around Georgia continue to pledge support to Everhart for Re-election as Chairman of the GAGOP

Atlanta, GA – Last week Tea Party leaders announced they would be endorsing Sue Everhart for GAGOP Chairman. This week, more leaders (all Georgians) within the movement have pledged support to Everhart, as the momentum grows for next weekend’s Georgia Republican Party State Convention.

The original list includes:

Julianne Thompson – State Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots in Georgia and Co-Organizer of the Atlanta Tea Party

Debbie Dooley – Co-Founder of the Atlanta Tea Party

Virginia Galloway – Tea Party Educator and Co-Founder of the Atlanta Tea Party

Catherine McDonald – Leader, Atlanta 9-12

Steve Ramey – Chairman of the Founding Fathers Tea Party

Anthony Scott-Hobbs – Chairman, Tea Party Business Network

Michael and Tressa Rawlinson 9-12 Hall County leaders
Nighta Davis – Founder, American Patriots Tea Party

“This is very exciting”, said Julianne Thompson, State Coordinator of Georgia Tea Party Patriots and Co-Organizer of the Atlanta Tea Party. “Longtime GOP activists, as well as
Tea Party activists brand new to the GOP have taken notice of Everhart’s support and respect of the movement, and her dedication to all of the various coalitions of conservatives that will make the difference going forward. They realize being an activist is about getting involved in choosing the right grassroots leaders going into 2012, if we are going to beat the Obama machine.”

Dooley stated, “After last week’s press release, Julianne and I were contacted by many Tea Party activists around Georgia who also support Sue Everhart. There were so many that it definitely warranted another press release. We expect more endorsements to come Sue’s way as this election will determine what direction the Georgia GOP will go in. It will determine if the Georgia GOP has its direction determined by the grassroots or powerful elected officials.”

The following Tea Party leaders have added their names to Tea Party leaders for Sue and proudly give their endorsement.

Kathy Hildebrand – 7th District Tea Party Patriots leader.

“You don’t trade the winning quarterback after you just won the super bowl. Sue is the one to lead us into 2012!”

###

Stella Lohmann – Media Professional and Tea Party leader. Known as The Freedom Czar of America.

“If Georgia Republicans want this state to remain “RED” in 2012, we must have a leader who knows, understands, and has proven consistent experience in every aspect of the political process. Sue Everhart has been the ‘boots on the ground’ for many years in grassroots cultivation, management, and growth. Like many conservatives, labels and titles are insignificant when selecting leaders; it’s about integrity to principles and passion. In the more than twelve years that I have known Sue, she remains one of the most reliable models of citizen activism working tirelessly in any capacity entrusted to her with humility and grace. The fact of the matter is Sue gets results. It would be difficult to travel within Conservative circles in Georgia without someone having a story to tell about working on a winning team with Sue. Sue IS the One (for GA GOP Chairman) because she was “Tea Party before Tea Party was cool!”

###

Conrad Quagliaroli – Organizer, Cherokee County Tea Party Patriots

“I’m forwarding this message about Sue Everhart, because after hearing all three candidates last month, I decided to support her. Reason- while her opponents are very capable and embrace technology, it occurred to me that the number one job of the chairman is to raise money and get people to work together. And for that, you need to have personal contacts with these people.

It seems to me, that after many years volunteering for the GA Republican Party, Sue is the only one with those kind of relationships. Additionally, while you can hire the technical expertise, you can’t buy those personal contacts.

I will of course support whoever is our chairman, but I will be voting for Sue Everhart at the convention and hope you will as well.”

Tom Ross, Henry County 912 Project

John Bigham, Henry County 912 Project

Clayton County 9-12 Project/Tea Party

Chris Collins Jackson County 9-12 leader

Term limits: The Pridemore camp is spreading a completely false rumor that Sue had the rules changed so she coud run for a third term. They know that is not factual but keep spreading this rumor any way. I helped with the rule change. Prior to the rule change, there were NO term limits in place for GA GOP Chairman, Republican National Committeman or Republican National Committeeman. We changed the rules so term limits would be in place and our effort had the support of Sue Everhart. If a candidate will continue spreading lies, then what will they do if elected?
