Donald Trump and the F-bomb
With scores of people across the South yet to be buried, with houses and schools and businesses and churches to be rebuilt, Donald Trump may be a strange topic to focus on. But perhaps the hazards of real life – flesh, metal and futures twisted by tumultuous winds of fate — are precisely the tools needed to illuminate the tin-foil nature of American politics.
Two days after Donald Trump claimed credit for President Barack Obama’s decision to release his Hawaiian birth certificate, the real estate mogul and prospective GOP candidate late Thursday night gave a speech laced with F-bombs to a Las Vegas crowd of several hundred Republicans, promising to subject rival nuclear powers to dialogue provided by Elmore Leonard.
As if he could treat Hu Jintao as if he were a Chinese version of Gary Busey.

Southerners know how to cuss, with a rhythm and color worthy of study by many New Yorkers. We do not shy away from expressing ourselves. But the best of us demand an elevated form of public dialogue. This is the land where Rhett earned his most grievous black mark for declaring — on the printed, public page — that he didn’t give a damn about Scarlett.
Martin Luther King Jr. surely employed locker-room language to privately rail against the indignities of segregation. But in public, he used G-rated words – powerful, biblical stuff — to bring down Jim Crow.
Unfortunately, what’s said in Las Vegas can’t always stay in Las Vegas. It must, given the networked nature of the world, come our way. Someone needs to tell me how Trump and his language – not just his choice of words, but his ideas, too — can play a constructive role in the Southern heart of the Republican party.

What is the rate of inflation now?
How much have your taxes gone up?
How’d that gulf oil spill work for you? How much did ExxonMobile make this past quarter as gas prices were escalating?
How about those subsidies and tax breaks so the oil companies can make record profits? Why should they increase production when they’re making record profits?
And, don’t bother responding. I’m not interested. You give away your agenda by constantly, and in a rather juvenile fashion, referring to the president using his middle name.

Trump can afford to “care less” about what happens to any or all of us, he can live any place like a king. He is choosing to make a stand for this country. Anyone who thinks that inflation isn’t a factor now needs to rethink this. They do NOT count fuel and food in the equation anymore. Makes everything look pretty good, if you believe it. Unfortunately, I know what gas and diesel fuel costs, and I know what food costs, too.
Never fear! Soon we will be driving wind powered cars. We’ll just have to connect them to televisions to refuel them when the teleprompter makes a speech. That is the biggest source of hot air on the planet.

Hussein could have produced this birth certificate when all the questions were posed even prior to the election if this birth certificate was available at that time. Why wait until now? Could it just be remotely possible that this certificate did not, in fact, exist then? Only now, with the re-election campaign in the offing, has this certificate surfaced. I submit that it creates far more questions than answers. Of course, there are mindless millions who will accept it without question. I am not mindless . . .

Ok libs, let’s get past the profanity for a moment! His ideas – (1)China and Japan, who sell billions of dollars of products in this country, putting a tax like 25% on them? (2) South Korea, Libria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc – if we protect them, they should be paying for our protection. (3) Why are we building schools in Afghanistan, when our schools here need the money?(4) Why are we paying billions to Mexico, just to be good neighbors? They can not stop the flow of illegal immigrants from their side! Help me to understand why these are not good ideas even though a little bit of profanity was used!! It’s not all Obama’s fault, include former president Bush in this mess too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I can’t get excited about supporting Trump (but if his name appears as the only choice in 2012, I’ll hold my nose and vote against Barry), some of you seem to have forgotten that your beloved vice pres also has a major issue with profanity. Audio clips also float around the web with Barry using foul language as well.
I’m glad I don’t have a 5 year old who wants to know “What does f%&* mean? The source is of secondary concern.

Trump likes to talk about how he is a successful business man and all that…but lets not forget that he inherited $200million from his father.
We are not talking about a self made millionaire here. President Obama is a self made man…Trump is not. How hard is it to hire the best and the brightest when you inherit a fortune…then claim it was all your idea.
Somebody (namely NBC) needs to fire Trump.

It seems most of the people in this blog are too young to remember one of the best Presidents of the last century. He was a (D) and used salty language. Trump has other issues which would detract from him being our leader. He would not be worthy to hold HST’s jockey strap.

It would be rather nice to have someone in office whose both feet and head are on Mother Earth. As far as his liberal use of profanity…SO THE HELL WHAT!? We, as a supposedly informed constituency, continue to allow ourselves the distractions of the superflous. Politicians know this, and they fully exploit this weakness; all they have to do to sidestep these issues is polish their act, say what the sheeple want to hear, and…POOF!…they’re in office.
This guy’s got the spheroids this Country needs at the leadership helm. The last President with anything resembling political spheroids was assasinated back in 63. Obama has no class. He operates on sheer arrogance, and if you ever read his writings, you would know that. He doesn’t consider himself “above the fray.” He considers himself both above the law and above the people. As far as his “deepest resources” are concerned, those would be whatever the unions tell him they are. And as for conservatives, we know Trump won’t be President, but we respect the fact that he is willing to call attention to Obama’s destructive and devisive nature. Obama, after over two years of hiding it, finally showed his long-form birth certificate, because of Trump! Interestingly enough, a computer expert (and you can see this on Youtube) has proven that many parts of the form, including the date and mother’s signature, have been doctored. It ain’t over yet!!

Presidents that shoot from the lip get the country into conflicts that cost hundreds and thousands of young lives. As has been the case since the beginning of this country, the sons of rich men stay home while the rest shed their blood so the rich can get richer and their sons can preen before an adoring public.
To assign to Trump manly qualities because he can cuss up a storm and posture before an adoring audience is to ignore his history of deferrments and his 4-F— just like Cheney and the other chicken hawks who are so quick to shed the blood of others for their country.

Unfortunately, cursing and use of the F-word is common these days. I witnessed a young ‘lady’, talking loudly on her cell, use the F-word a half a dozen times. When she got off the phone, I asked her if she realized she’d done that. She didn’t even say ‘oops’, ‘my bad’ or apologize. She just turned and walk away as if to say, ‘You old fogey’. It’s only a matter of time until it is part of everyday language.
