Gary Busey spoke, and Donald Trump became the sure thing

It’s what Buddy Holly would have done. Just remember where you were when you first saw this bit of history:

Tip of the hat to Washington Note, Andrew Sullivan.

But I don’t know what to make of the “I’m cim-panning for him now” part of Busey’s address.

Busey had a very serious head injury. Judging from who they elected for governor, I think that a lot of Georgia’s voters must of been hit in the head too.

At least with Trump, you have a potential candidate who has made millions upon millions for his companies, hired (and fired) thousands of employees, successfully run hundreds of businesses in his lifetime and has a high regard for America, our capitalist system and our freedom where ANYONE with half a brain can start a business…unlike our current leader who has never run any businesses in any form, does not appreciate America and American opportunity and is trying to turn our capitalist society into some form of socialism where the government would decide who could start a business. Can’t wait til the nightmare is over in 2012. ABO-Anyone But Obama.

Trump/Busey 2012

By far the most down to earth of the other Republican contenders. At least Republicans get that they have to move more to the center to try and take the spotlight off the Tea Party crazies.

Now wait, some of you are saying Trump/Busey are bat guano crazy. Yes they are.

Hussein is qualified for the Presidency. I mean, all that community organizing has to count for something! He was a state legislator (who voted “Present” 130 times). He was a U.S. Seanator who only missed 24% of the role call votes. What do you want the guy to do? Did you expect Hussein to have any “real life” experience?

Since when does that “real life” experience matter? Did that “real life” experience make Einstein the most influential physicist of the 20th century? Did that “real life” experience help W out much? What about his father?

I would rather a law professor from one of the most prestigious universities in the history of man be president than a business person. Business men tend to put price tags on freedom and justice…that is not in the spirit of the US!

Of course idiots like you want Obama out now, after he has cleaned up the mess, Obama was a idiot to think low mddle class conservativess would support his efforts to bring America out the toilet. Obama should have stood and watch America go thru another depression, he should have let banks fail, wall street, housing market continuing collaps.
What so beautiful about the rest of the world they saw the mess America was in and love this man, for doing everthing he could, but when you still have racist idiots still fighting the President because he is of color, make us a sad looking country.
Donald Trump never cared about poor middle calss whites, never in his life, he knows he has some sick undeducated whites out there who hate the President so he expolit them like Rush Limbaugh Sean Hannity and they are to stupid to realize it.

To be fair, President Obama has until mid-June to have us out of Libya or to get Congressional approval. That’s the War Powers Resolution, sir.

Obama has a 35% approval rating (MSNBC) for is handling of the economy. S&P said they are about to reduce our credit rating over of national debt and what does the savior and chief do? He goes out and makes a speech about investing (spending) more money on green technology and Federal education spending. He says Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security can not be reformed and that Republicans are trying to take medicare for the old and his plan to get out of debt is that tried and true liberal philosophy: Tax the rich and cut defense spending. Oh yea, let us not forget about how to solve the gas prices, “give up the SUV and buy a smaller car”.

Since you libs think Bush was so dumb and he graduated from Yale and Obama has proven he is not the brightest light in the room, I am starting to rethink how well these schools are preparing their students for the real world.

RetiredSoldier — “Infantry, you can’t go to war without us.”

Roger that. Too rich for my blood, but I always respected the groundpounders. Especially the infantry NCOs.

“A war is a war. We are in three now, not two.”

Actually, the last time I checked, we had no troops on the ground in Libya and the only air we were providing was recon, C&C and refueling — not even any ground attack or bomber aircraft. But any way you slice it, a President has 90 days to get Congressional authorization for military involvement. He’s got (IIRC) two or three days to *notify* Congress, but he can send troops in for up to 90 days without a Congressional go-ahead. So if we’re still involved after mid-June, yeah, I’ll be upset, but for right now, the President is not overstepping his Congressional bounds.

“He has doubled down in Afgan. and followed the Bush plan in Iraq.”

FWIW, I agree that we should be out of Iraq. But I think that we should have gone heavily into Afghanistan from the get-go so that we could find and catch Osama bin Deadmeat. Frankly, I think President Bush squandered a good opportunity by getting us involved in Iraq when the bad guys we *really* wanted were hiding out in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

“Remenber the Obama promise of “pass the stimulus and unemployment would go over 8%”. Not!”

Respectfully, the unemployment rate does not tell the whole story because it leaves a lot of information out. A much more accurate and pertinent figure is the number of newly created jobs, and that figure has shot up in the last 6-9 months. I’ll certainly provide you with a link to those numbers so you can have a look at them for yourself if you like.

So I ask again, what mess has Obama cleaned up?

I really think you should look at the raw employment numbers, especially the new jobs created figures. The unemployment percentage isn’t even relied on by economists because it leaves out so much information. They call it “U3″ and it’s only one of several different numbers they use.

And please have a look at the news story link I posted earlier.

The damn liberal media an our glorious President kept the environmental wackos and their scare tactics going and scared everyone so bad that my entire month of June and July canceled their reservations.

Yes Obama’s clean up plan and environmental safety BS has cost 70,000 oil workers to loose their jobs and when the truth comes out probably will have a indirect influence on the rising gas prices now.

The Republican plan to reform Medicare will not effect anyone over the age of 55 now, so why is Obama and the democrats out there saying they want to do away with current Medicare? BOLD FACE LIE.

Lie is such an ugly word, and especially if it is used in an illectually dishonest manner. When one refers to what people want to do, most people would understand that to be in sometime in the future. Switching from a defined benefit plan (Medicare) to a undefined coupon/voucher towards medical insurance cost starting ten years from now (or the effective date of the bill, or some other date defined by the final bill), for those under the age of 55 is a plan to end Medicare as we know it. (yes, at some time into the future). Everyone gets it. But what we also get, is this is just one idea on how to fix the problem. There are many others.

Since you called me an idiot, I will henceforth refer to you as the “token brain-dead fool”. Eaxactly what in the hell has Hussein “cleaned up”? We are far deeper in debt than we were before he took office, and we are running a $1.4+ trillion dollar deficit for this budget cycle. The dollar is being devalued by inflation caused primarily by the injection of massive amounts of currency into circulation. His foreign policy is the stuff of jokes. He has insulted our allies and bowed to countries who aren’t exactly friendly to us.

Dude, inflation is and has been pretty mild (from a historical perspective) over the last couple of years. And frankly, a little bit of inflation right now would be much better than *deflation,* the prospect of which was scaring the dickens out of financiers from late 2008 until last year.

If we calculated inflation the way we did in the 70’s and 80’s it would be 10%. It’s amazing how low inflation can be when you exclude transportation and food like the curremt method does. Gas prices up? Who cares, not part of the inflation equation.
