Nathan Deal, Sonny Perdue, Zell Miller headline a Newt Gingrich fundraiser

Former U.S. House speaker Newt Gingrich will hold his first major fund-raiser in Georgia next Wednesday, in the name of his 2012 presidential exploratory committee.

Headlining the event will be Gov. Nathan Deal, former Gov. Sonny Perdue, and former governor and U.S. Sen. Zell Miller – making a rare personal appearance. Howard “Bo” Callaway, the first modern Republican to win a plurality in a Georgia race for governor, leads the “B” side of the invitation — which you can see here.

A stiff drink and a photo with Gingrich will cost you $2,500. For $1,000, you still get the drink – at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead.

Leigh Ann Gillis, who raised money for both Perdue and 2008 GOP presidential nominee John McCain, is standing by to take your check.

And if you wear a short short skirt, Gingrich will provide you with something else stiff… but you might not be able to see it very well.

Zell Miller has to do whatever the new governor tells him to do so he can stay on the lobbyist payroll and support his sorry hillbilly kin.

Not only did Bo Callaway win a plurality in 1966, only to have the Governor’s race be given to Lester Maddox by the legislature, as provided by law at the time, he went on to serve in Congress, and as Secretary of the Army under President Ford.

I’m amazed that he consented to be involved at all with the rest of that crowd, since they were only recently “galvanized” into the Republicrat fold. Mr. Callaway has been there since 1960, and apparently has not been too happy with most of today’s Republicrats. As ever, politics makes strange bedfellows.

If Trisha D. War Eagle would put her teeth in and Last Man Standing would do a proper comb over, I would much rather have my picture taken with them. At least they’re honest about their biases, and discriminations. TD could take the picture with his Browning with the Glenn Beck distortion lense. Now, I’d pay money for that!!!

If you fork over the bucks, you’ll be backing a losing candidate, as our esteemed past Governors are doing.. Newt has too much baggage and is too professorial to win the Republican nomination, not to mention the Presidential Election.

I just wonder what would happen if a bunch of white people posted these kind of comments about THE ONE. FBI would probably be checking them out, and the site would be featured on MSNBC as an example of the kind of hate that’s spewing among Republicans… No talk about the black/liberal hate, no no, that’s not politically correct…

I don’t mean to rub it in, but those who have shown an interest in running on the Republican side present a rather dismal picture: Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman are the Kardashians of American politics and they are gathered with Newt, Lil’ Abner, Haley Boubour, The Donald, Mitt and God only knows who else.

A rather Motley Crew, I’d say.

They could bill it as “Newtie & His Nutty Buddies.” The only difference between Zig Zag and the other two clowns is he never bothered to officially turn Republicrat out of fear his Mama would spin out of her grave. The only thing these four have in common is that they’re common political opportunists.

Newt is a Clintonesque lieberal RINO…so sorry to see these Georgians putting their support there, when we all know RON PAUL is THE most qualified man light years ahead of Gingrich and the others…RON PAUL raised $3 MILLION in the 1st qtr, beating out ALL of the ‘others’…

Just read a little something that I had suspected all along. In 27 months, the Fed has printed enough money to increase the monetary supply by 138%! I already knew that there is a big push to replace the dollar as the world’s reserve currency – and that is going to happen. When it does, fasten your seatbelt because we are in for a ride the likes of which you have never experienced! It will give ‘poverty’ a whole new meaning!

I’ll go ahead and mention it since the “Insider” hasn’t. The GOP played Hussein-O perfectly today, and I can say our side pulled a master strategic coup. They passed a budget extension that fully funds the military thru the end of the year. Hussein-O now is in the position of the democrat senate or his very own veto, shutting off soldier paychecks, over the dems refusal to accept spending cuts and little barry soetoro’s ego. As Hussein scolded bis betters yesterday, time to grow up, little barry hussein soetoro….To Hell with you now and in 2012:)

I am wholly unimpressed. Newt is not a native Georgian, he is the consummate opportunist, and although the multiple divorces are not so bad in and of themselves, the idea that he was dating each new wife before the last marriage was terminated says alot about him as person. Is this all we can come up with as a candidate? What a shame.

You reminded me that the US High school dropout rate for Blacks is 46% (Hussein’s own boostup.org stat), and I think all but 5 of them voted democrat. The other 5 couldn’t even read the ballot and just gave up in frustration and humiliation. Those SEIU maids and lettuce pickers are not exactly mexico’s academic decathlon team, either. They also tend to vote democrat.

Let’s not get carried away with this “if they were white or conservative” dialogue. A couple of black guys stood in front of a Northern voting station wearing 1970’s Black Panther garb and the mainstream media, egged on by talk radio, went bonkers. Just think what would have happened if a Black man had a AK-47 or a 9-mil hollering Second Amendment rights as GWB’s motorcade passed by on it way to his pseudo farm in Crawford?

Let’s be a bit more realistic about it. The panthers were there to intimidate. What if two whites dressed in KKK garb stationed themselves outside a voting area in that same election? I see no difference except the two whites would have been promptly arrested, charged by the fed with violation of civil rights, tried, convicted and sentenced to a lengthy term.

That is the difference . . .
