‘We got us some reform!’

The AJC photographer Brant Sanderlin caught Harris Blackwood, campaign aide to Republican nominee for governor Nathan Deal, as he wielded a broom and claimed a statewide sweep for Republicans at the Georgia GOP election night event at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead.

Oh, brother, where art thou when we need you?

I would like to take this moment to remind every republican voter in the state that they are to blame for the consequences of such outcomes.

For 8 years now they have been blaming Democrats for the deteriorating situation in GA (for reasons that are illogical since Democrats have not held many seats in GA). Now that all of the constitutional offices are held by the GOP there are no others to blame.

I hope these people do well in office. I love Georgia and would hate to have to move because the standard of living takes a dive.

Good Job!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the new idiots running our state.

Just as predicted long ago – the AJC would ignore that they CLAIMED there would be a runoff between Deal and Barnes, and that was not a logical conclusion from all of the polling data.

All of that AJC shilling for Barnes was for naught – the AJC simply does not have credibility.

Well you should pack your bags because this state is going to hell in a hand basket. Was looking at a email from my job about promotions, guess what state was left off the list for getting these jobs, Ga. All the other offices was getting new jobs and hiring for new positions except the office here in Ga.

That picture is worth 1000 words. The guy looks like a fruitcake drunken uncle everyone avoids at the family reunion.

If the Republicans have all the answers to solve Georgia’s problems, why haven’t they shared those solutions with the current Republican governor?

LANDSLIDE victory for Deal – but posters on this wacko liberal website are bitterly out of step.

I was at the ballroom last night and this guy acts as strange as the picture makes him look! He may actually look better in the picture. Although a great victory a very strange choice to fire up the troops.

Paul, what do you want to bet that Blackwood becomes his press secretary?

Jim, are you going to start singing “I am a man of constant sorrow?”

Douglas, Jim needs to get the longer, old-timey beard first before he can sing such a great song. As for Harris, he will most likely be press secretary. The man has regular columns in several North GA papers and was his campaign spokesman. He clearly has the professional creds to handle the job.

On the plus side, Nathan Deal is no more personally crooked, nor more of a slave to the in’trusts than Sonny was. Most of those statewide posts don’t really have much room for a partisan agenda, and I see no indication of any wide-eyed radical agenda (a la Glenn Richardson) in this current bunch. They’re the same guys who used to run the state as Democrats in some cases (Deal is a party switcher, f’rinstance). So, same old low-tax, low-service, mildly corrupt state government we’ve had forever. Expect more suburban sprawl, worse traffic congestion and continuing low-performing public schools.

What an odd looking man! The hair, the weight, just odd. Like a cartoon more than an actual human.

Jeez, just when I thought I couldnt be any MORE embarrassed about our Guvnor than Sonny made me, along come Nathan ‘Out to make myself a’ Deal and his merry band of idiots.

Four more years of Republican “leadership”. And look how productive Sonny’s terms have been. Oh, wait… Highest unemployment in the region, steadily worsening education results and the most number of failed banks in the country.

Yeah, REALLY looking forward to more Republican “leadership”
