I wonder if he’ll be posing for photo ops with and endorsing Barnes while he’s here.

I hope Barnes has sense enough to be unavailable to appear with the President. Barnes needs to run on state issues and not align himself with the national party. Many of us who think Barnes is the right choice for Governor are simultaneously disinclined to support the Dems for national office this year.

Wonder if all our Repub Senators and Congressmen will try to explain why they voted against unemployment benefits and all the jobs bills but still try to keep the big tax breaks for Big Oil and Bilg Ceo’s. Us millionaires LOVE the Repubs!!

Barnes might as well be seen with Obama since he is an Obama democrat and supports all of his policies. If I was a betting person I would bet he will continue the lie and stay away.

Chuck asks a very astute question. My guess is that King Roy will be on a family vacation in Hahira swatting gnats that week. Word is Marie, first lady wannabe again, needs a new floppy hat.

There is a lot of blue money in Atlanta that ain’t going to the blue dog fools who think progressives will support any idiot with a “D” next to his name. This yellow dog is waiting to see if Barnes and Porter really want my $$ by taking on the Rethug christianists and mean Sarah.

Big whooping poo poo. Most wish he’d choose another city to flake off and ignore his responsibilities in. obama just sees an opportunity for himself with Barnes having a landslide win by his liberal democraps…….of course, no one wants two faced Barnes. He’s like obama lies through his teeth if he’s talking but makes it sound good as if we’re ignorant.

Stay home obama. We don’t want your kind around our parts.

I wonder if Obama will be in Mechanicsville and the Stadium Neighborhoods near Turner Field creating jobs? Maybe he can promise the poor, unemployed masses glimmers of hope as he lives his lavish lifestyle. Maybe he can get the city’s unemployment rate below 10%?

The only change I see is the coins given to the homeless people of Atlanta.

Barnes did not get elected for his 2nd term due to the fact he changed our state flag without even putting it to a vote. He forgot who he worked for, the people of Georgia. NEVER FORGET!

Don DEACON, you do not speak for me. I can see the great hole in your socialization. When you can’t control
your anger you call people names, use profanity, and squander what little intelligence that might have
been attributable to you.

Learn to think for yourself. You are old enough.

Roy Barnes is like the old state flag. It is in our past. Why do we want to go back to our past? We should be looking to the future. Roy is the past, NOT the future. Sound familiar? Thats what Roy himself you to say. Kinda ironic.

It’s unfortunate that as Americans we can’t make a decision to support or not support a candidate based on the issues at hand. Instead, we make personal attacks against people we don’t know. None of us know Barack Obama, the man. We know 1) Senator Barack Obama, 2) Barack Obama, Democratic Nominee and 3) Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States. If you don’t like his policies and decisions, fine. Vote for the other man or woman. If you don’t like Roy Barnes, fine. Vote for the other man or woman whether he or she is a Democrat or a Republican. I hope one day we’ll stop this endless, immature game of making it about race, families, vacations or anything else that won’t reduce our dependence on foreign oil (and, therefore, the price we ALL pay at the pump), increase the number of jobs available or eliminate the recession. People should be embarrassed at some of the elementary comments they take the time to type here. Go vote and make a REAL difference.

I am not trying to be biased when I say I don’t like ANY sitting president traveling on behalf of his party. He needs to stay in DC and work on fixing the country’s problems. He can come to Atlanta when he has a reason that effects the whole nation. If he wants to campaign for someone, he can wait until he is out of office.

Are you effing kidding me? Sometimes I guess I forget where I am. If that not a backwoods, silly, country and stupid string of words put together, I don’t know what is. What’s next, calling the president a ‘thug?’ I can’t believe I have to share the same area code with some of ‘your kind.’ Some things will never ‘change…’

How long has this kind of crap been going on? Should we accept it any longer?

The reason that Barnes did not want to put the flag issue to a public majority rule vote is that he and others that want to see Georgia rise above its racist past knew that the REDNECKS in South Georgia were in the majority of citizens who would vote and that did at that time and still do to this day (even in 2010) want to see the good old days of the past (segregation…States rights…..and all of the other code words for bigotry). All you have to do is listen to the majority of the Republican candidates for Governor and just listen to what they say. Hell they are even dogging out Handel for supposedly supporting domestic partner benefits for gay people and freedom for a woman to chose what she does with her own body.
Funny thing is that you never see and/or hear of any of those that are anti-abortion wanting to increase their taxes to take care of the unwanted and neglected children that are already here.
These are many of the same people that are anti-Obama on everything no matter what the cost to the United States of America. Oppose Obama at any cost.
I’m still waiting on the Republicans to state what they would do differently. It is easy to simply say that you are oppose to something without ever purposing a solution. Same old….Same old…..

Welcome, Mr. President! I hope that, despite people’s individual politics, Georgians will honor and acknowledge our Commander in Chief’s presence and show him what a great place our state really is…
