Jindal fund-raiser suffers a broken leg in Big Easy fight

Apparently a post-convention discussion of Sarah Palin’s speech got out of hand. This from the New Orleans Times-Picayune:

Gov. Bobby Jindal’s chief campaign fund-raiser is recovering from injuries she suffered in a Friday night altercation with a group of people in the French Quarter, the governor’s office said Monday.

Allee Bautsch suffered a broken leg and her boyfriend suffered a concussion and a fractured nose and jaw in the incident, which happened after a fundraising event at Brennan’s Restaurant on behalf of the Louisiana Republican Party on Friday evening.

Jindal was at the fund-raising event at the restaurant, but was not present when the incident occurred.

The comments on the Times Picayune question the 3 day delay in reporting of this “altercation.” Sounds like another Tawanna Brawley.

Real personal income for Americans – excluding government payouts such as Social Security – has fallen by 3.2 percent since President Obama took office in January 2009, according to the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis.

For comparison, real personal income during the first 15 months in office for President George W. Bush, who inherited a milder recession from his predecessor, dropped 0.4 percent. Income excluding government payouts increased 12.7 percent during Mr. Bush’s eight years in office.

“This is hardly surprising,” said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, an economist and former director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. “Under President Obama, only federal spending is going up; jobs, business startups, and incomes are all down. It is proof that the government can’t spend its way to prosperity.”

Michael, so you are saying she broke her own leg and her boyfriend beat the crap out of himself for attention? Grow up.

I wonder if it was a bunch of democrat union thugs that beat him up like they did that disabled black teaparty guy in MO?

The French Quarter is next to a crack infested housing project, inhabited by democrats, and isn’t safe for humans to visit. You take your life in your hands when you go down there. I hate this happened. It happens alot more than people know. The only way this got out is it invovled famous people. Take my advice and stay out of New Orleans.

Once again, left-wing thugs resort to violence to silence their critics. It is a pattern of behavior that can no longer be ignored.

@georgiadawg70 – What in the world are you talking about? 1) There are NO housing projects which were reopened in New Orleans post Katrina (That was a huge and controversial decision which received a GREAT deal of coverage in the REAL news), not to mention next to the French Quarter for those Democratic Crackheads to live in! 2) There is not now, nor never has been a rash of Democratic Crackheads beating up the good folk white who visit New Orleans or those that live there either. 3) There are an inordinate amount of drunk white people wandering around the French Quarter every night, that’s what they come there for. On a nightly basis, they get arrested for fighting and any number of other forms of debauchery. It’s part of the culture of the Quarter. So unless you have ANY information that suggests it was a “crack infested Democrat” from the non existent projects who attacked the woman, I think the Times Picayune probably has it right and it was a fight! Most likely not between whites and blacks, for that would have been a different headline entirely…..B’lieve dat! So without such evidence, yours, as usual, is just another uninformed racist tinged rant, based on your own ideas, having nothing to do with facts or reality. Alas, that is the world in which you seem to dwell and thrive. More power to you!

Hilarious, Mr. Galloway. A woman was seriously injured and you think it’s something to joke about.

There was no mention in the story about what caused the fight or who started it. Jim Galloway did not joke about it, he simply reported what the Times-Picayune wrote.

With all the problems in Georgia: declining water resources; lousy transportation infrastructure; failing local banks; worst (or next to worst) test scores by Georgia children; a bankrupt state government, etc., its no wonder the Conservatives in Georgia want to change the subject.

So when two white people get jumped because they are republicans its a joke to the hate columnists at the AJC? No wonder they are going out of business. Boycott this piece of trash. This stooge makes Glenn Beck look like a peacemaker.

When vile hatred from the leftwing leaves a WOMAN with a broken leg, then we know the radical liberal anarchists are at it again. Shame on the AJC for joking about this.

Jim Galloway is a vile misogynist. Shame on his brand of hate speech. His lack of civility should be condemned by every major newspaper and the few adults who are still employed by AJC.

Who said they were white? Who said they were jumped because they were Republican? Who said the “leftwing” is involved in breaking a woman’s leg?

“This is hardly surprising,” said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, an economist and former director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

He traded in the non-partisan hat.

In 2007, Holtz-Eakin was hired as chief economic policy adviser to U.S. Senator John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. Through the campaign and coincident 2008 economic crisis, he remained in the media spotlight on the candidate’s proposals for the economy and health care [6]. Holtz-Eakin drew particular attention when he claimed that, as a U.S. Senator on the Commerce Committee, McCain “helped create” the BlackBerry wireless device.[7]

Because Jim Galloway is too lazy to actually do some research and investigate this incident and the lefist commenters are as well, this incident happened outside of Brennans after a republican fundraiser. There were several dozen leftist that were demonstrating outside. After the fundraiser was over the couple was walking away from Brennans when they were accosted by some the protesters who expressed verbal dissatifaction with them being Plain supporters. Then they physically attack them.

Galloway is your typical leftist LSM scum, he gets the giggles when a petite little repulican female is savagely attacked and her leg broken.

Too damned bad the couple did not CC, double tap to center mass and one bewixt the eyes works wonders for deterring such sadistic animals.

Michael, what comments about a 3 day delay in reporting this incident are you referring to? The Times-Picayune clearly says police responded to the incident and requested EMS assistance. See http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2010/04/police_release_statement_on_ji.html.

Michael’s comment about this incident being “another Tawanna (sic) Brawley” is hilarious, considering that Tawana Brawley was never even injured. She was out late when she shouldn’t have been, and tried to save herself from parental punishment by faking having been brutally gang raped and beaten by racist cops. Emergency room doctors were on to Brawley from the beginning. OTOH, The NOLA couple actually were beaten, injured, and hospitalized.

Oh, and BTW: The guys who perpetrated the hoax that Brawley’s story was plausible were attorneys Alton Maddox and C. Vernon Mason, and another guy you may have heard of: “Rev.” Al Sharpton. They falsely accused several law enforcement officials, one of whom committed suicide and another of whom successfully sued the trio for defamation of character.

In the words of coach Jim Calhoun: “My best advice to you [is to] shut up … Get some facts, and come back and see me.”

Comparing this to Tawanna Brawley is just stupid. First of all, there are no parasites like Sharpton angling for a payday from this. It is likely that protestors were involved. I have seen leftist nitwits protesting other things and following people down the street screaming at them. Personal intimidation trumps reason, truth and civility when you get to the level of the type of person who protests Sarah Palin, who does nothing except speak. She has no more to do with government right now than I do. If it turns out it was a beat down, well I guess what better opportunity to encourage all 2nd Amendment supporters to avail themselves of that particular right?

I’m digging into sites like this to find out ANYTHING about ACTUAL politically motivated violence. Not a PEEP from AP, CNN, NYT, WaPo…. Thousands of words wasted on so called hate directed at people who were carrying video cameras but still did not capture a single shred of evidence. But ACTUAL politically motivated violence–broken bones and blood spilled? Zero interest from the mainstream press because the victims are on the wrong team.

Too bad there weren’t hundreds of cell-cameras and video recorders rolling to capture the evidence this time.

Is it just me or do these two look remarkably comfortable and fairly clean and unscathed based on what happened? I see no blood on him, which if you ever had a broken nose would know that is impossible – not even on his shirt. And she is looking up at the cop smiling while laying there with her legs bent and crossed like she is laying on the beach. I find something weird about this story – something beyond the fact that the lamestream media has ignored it.

Jeff are you REALLY as daffy as Galloway – who called it a ‘fight’? You’ve GOT to be kidding.
Ms. Bautsch underwent surgery to repair her broken leg. The news outlets who aren’t deplorable Dem party shills like this rag AJC, are reporting the EMTs and hospital reports that her boyfriend suffered a concussion, a broken nose and a fractured jaw.
And you see her “smiling”??? Have you ever seen someone wince in pain?

Finally, the moonbats who were protesting across the street have “magically” disappeared: their website evaporated, their Facebook pages were deleted or most of the wall posts were removed, the blogs are gone and oh yeah, the little jerks have skipped town.
Typical cowardly liberal white trash: they beat up a woman and then run and hide.
Galloway: you call this a “fight”? You are a disgrace to your profession. Loser.

Alvin – I believe there was an altercation. She stumbled and broke her leg. He has a fractured jaw from the scuffle. I hope the attackers are apprehended. That said, you can’t blame people for being skeptical after all the false attack claims Republicans have made.

It’s only funny when the republican’s get beat up.

Democrats try to deny free speech rights to the rest of us because our speech might be inflammatory. But they don’t care much about reall violence directed against real people.

If these two were black and Democrats, the story of their beating would have been on the front page of the Atlanta Journal Constitution every day since April 12. Cynthia Tucker would have written at least two editorials regarding the violence of the right and how the beatings were racially motivated. Instead, the only reporting done by the AJC regarding this beating has Jim Galloway blaming the two beaten people for having a Sarah Palin discussion, rather than the truth: they were targetted for the sins of wearing Sarah Palin buttons. What a miserable disgrace for a newspaper the AJC has actually become.

It turns out, the main stream media is yawning – why – because they are all Democrats, hate the Tea Parties, and love big government. No wonder when they need a bailout.
