Ater appealing my property taxes in Dekalb Co. (already in excess of $3,800) and paying the amount in full by the November deadline, I received a supplemental bill in January for an additional $581 in taxes. I want to know, is that legal? Aren’t your taxes supposed to be frozen while your appeal is considered? I filed a tax return in supplement to my appeal, but won’t hear back from that until at least April. I understand the County may be low on funding, but extorting money from taxpayers without representation just isn’t right!

The county lowered my value, but this “updated” list doesn’t show that. So how is it an updated list?
