Yes, this is like walking out on the last reel of a Hitchcock film. But House speakership race or not, vacation calls.
Have a peaceful Christmas, a festive Hanukkah, a meaningful Kwanzaa – and most definitely a Happy New Year.
My colleagues and I at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution thank you for the many times – more than 3 million – that you chose to read and trust the Insider this year.
See you in 2010.

Jim,
2009 was a lucky year for you. If it were not for your overt support – aren’t you supposed to be Objective as a journalist?- behind Kasim Reed in the city of Atlanta mayoral race, you would never had seen so many readers. Your coverage was pathetic and one-sided and the result is a mayor who will continue the graft of the last 36 years of mayoral self-dealing. You live way out in the Kenessaw suburbs so why such an aggressive tone taken to support a candidate in a city you do not live in is unbelievable.
MAN UP in 2010. Start holding the new Atlanta mayor accountable.
