Sometimes body language is worth a thousand words when it comes to a marriage on political display.
Below is an AP photo, taken Thursday, of South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford and her husband Gov. Mark Sanford, at a Christmas-themed open house at the governor’s mansion:

And surely this shot by AJC photographer Ben Gray will go down in Georgia’s political annals. It was snapped as House Speaker Glenn Richardson took his oath of office on Jan. 8, 2007 – days after Democrats accused him of an “inappropriate relationship” with an AGL lobbyist.

The speaker said the charge had no basis. Susan Richardson, shown holding a Bible, now says she knew it was so.

Looks to me like Richardson had a very nice looking wife. Drunk with power would be my guess. Money and position, bad mix. I would not be suprised to see him commit real suicide in the near future or run for congress! The list IS long, Bowers, Stafford, Clinton…..

Henry Kissinger was right when he said that “power is the ultimate aphrodesiac.”
Power corrupts.

The supreme hypocrisy of these guys is mind boggling. Maybe we should have a law requiring lobbyists to put salt peter in the meals and booze they buy our elected officials. Better yet, dump it into the coffee pots and water coolers at the capitol.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

And remember, where you have a concentration of power in a few hands, all too frequently men with the mentality of gangsters get control. History has proven that.

Ms. Ex Richardson looks really cool, and hot (tempered). I love the hypocracy of the GOP. They preach ethics and commit all kinds of wrongdoings, including unfair and ugly attacks againt our good sitting President who is trying to clean up their 8 ugly years and mess worldwide including the looting of our economy.

Jay-
Funny, I think the past 11 months have been worse than the previous eight years. Especially the ugly attacks against the then sitting president trying to clean up the mess left by Pres. Clinton.
Please past on to our Dear Leader, no more help, the cure will surely kill the patient.

The ladies aren’t taking it any longer — Jenny Sanford, Susan Richardson, Tiger’s golf club wielding wife — LOOK OUT!

On a lighter note, Richardson obviously lacks taste along with good judgment. His ex-wife is a classy looking lady. This lobbyist he was tangled up with looks downright sleazy when compared to his ex.

RetiredSodier, that would be hard for them, their only retort is name calling. Take Jay and and Johns ingorant comments for instance. That’s all you can expect to get from that type of intellect.

Doesn’t it just crack you up that some married politicians and celebrities, all with beautiful wives at home, had rather cheat on their spouses with skanky bar lizards.

Most people who rise to the top in business, sports, entertainment, and yes politics, are strong Type A personalities who are predisposed to conquering new territory and that extends to the bedroom and thus we get Tiger Woods, Bill Clinton, Mick Bowers, Glenn Richardson & company

Retired Soldier – If you really believe the last 11 monthes are Barry’s fault your delusional. Too early to tell if his policies will help or hurt, but make no mistake Dubya has done the real damage here. Beleive it.

Hey, Keith, maybe all these folks turn out with Type A personalities for a reason. Making up for short comings, maybe? These folks can’t get the ladies attention unless they climb the power ladder or practice and train like crazy.

I wonder why a lightening bolt didn’t strike him dead when he placed his hand on the Bible while his wife whom he had betrayed stood in a stupor by his side? He is a man who has received what he deserved

Sanford and Richardson are scum. Their adultery is an attempt to overcome their very real sense of personal and spiritual inadequacy. As fines of like minerals congregate together due to specific gravity in gold pans, cowards, pedophiles, closet-queens, Mammon-worshippers and philistines congregate as the Roman Anti-Christ’s political front: the Gay Old Pervert “Republican” party.
What other collection of scum could be counted as the base constituency and support group for the traitors who committed 9/11? Viz. “The New Pearl Harbor,” Griffin, Ph.D. : http://files.meetup.com/275335/The%20New%20Pearl%20Harbor.pdf
Those who fail to access and digest the proof given, that Bush and Cheney committed 9/11, and continue to argue that Obama is doing anything but trying to repair the damage done to America by that treason, are traitors or phenomenally moronic, and belong squarely with all the other congregated adulterers, pedophiles, philistines and closet-queens of the “Republican” party.

Absolutely Obama is responsible for the last eleven months. One of the best traits of a good military leader is responsibility. When I was a 2LT it was drilled into us that we were responsibility for everything our unit did or failed to do, period! No excuses. That’s a standard I hold every leader to.
Did Bush make mistakes? You got 3 or 4 hours? I’m a conservative republican and I hate the debt that both presidents have created. On balance I would hold my nose and take bush any day over Obama. What do I agree with Obama on? Nothing, but I am luke warm on his Afganistan policy if he had sent the 40k without a published withdrawal date.
So I think we are headed for major disaster under Obama. If I am wrong I’ll be greatly relieved.
