Dearest Rachel,

I don't understand why you or anyone else who supports Mary have to be so callous in your approach to this race. I am not saying all of her supporters but many of you. You want to know what type of clients, I believe Outkast was one, Latoya Luckett, Goodie MOB, all some of the most positive musical rap/soul/R&B artist you can find. Atlanta is known (to the transplants) for it's rich musical history. We are not offended by all of our music, only some and Mr. Reed does not represent them. In fact, he left his practice to run for Mayor. Why didn't Mary eliminate her business partnership with the city of Atlanta through her company ONE CALL WEB. I would like to know where you get off positioning Mary as a good candidate for Mayor. She has never supported the GAYS, terrible business woman, never reads any of the briefings she recieved from Council or the Administration. Lies and says she never recieved information as an 8 year, 2 term Councilmember. WTFE!!!!!!!! She is running purely on being white and thinking it's time for a white person because the numbers of blacks that have pushed out. Now I am not , not supporting Mary because she is white. It is because she is STUPID and she thinks we are stupid. But I see some of us ARE and it looks there is an audience for her here in Atlanta after all. I never thought Atlanta would elect Sarah Palin, let alone her step mother Mary. HA!!!! You get what you deserve if you elect this foolish, gibering, crazy, dishonest so-called politician who sleeps in the republican closet!

It's that time of year when all of Atlanta vent their anger over what has not been done, what needs to be done, and what will be done! I live in Dekalb County and I simple with the city well, because we need a good neighboor. I wish the Best Man/Woman will and bring the city where it was in 1996 when the world came to Atlanta for 16days!

@willi
Mary Norwood is married with two step children. But where is there mother? Well I know she was at home waiting on her husband to come home but he was on holiday with his secretary, then Mary and not a Mrs. Mary Norwood is a homewrecker!!!!! I know this her so called stepchildren actually hater her and so does her nieces and nephews from her in-laws. So talk about things you know when you mention people's family. Look it up dummy, Jim Galloway, reseach this. This is an important character flaw, the " do anything" factor that Mary has, ask City Council about her lies!!!!!!

Jim Galloway's most telling statement: "The point of racial politics is to reduce a complicated, mottled issue to the simplicity of black and white."

And no one does this better than Joseph Lowery, Andrew Young, Aaron Turpeau, and Bunny Jackson in their predicatable racially-charged endorsements of Kasim Reed. The double standard is alive well with Galloway and the AJC who allow these people essentially a free pass. Fortunately, a good number of black Atlantans see through these self-serving statements of the Black Political Establishment / Jackson Machine. Norwood clearly has earned support in the Black Community as someone who worked to deliver public service to African-American neighborhoods when sometimes, their own council members -- and state legislators --would not. That is why Norwood won about 25% of the African-American votes cast on Nov. 3. I'm die-hard Democrat and I support Mary Norwood. Enough of the racial politics and racist slurs by bloggers on both sides here.

Reed is more like a compromise of pro-developer Shirley Franklin, and pro-bond lawyer Bill Campbell. Reed could care less about Atlanta's neighborhoods. He's in it for the machine, i.e. money and power.

There is a need to find a balance between mayor Franklin and her catering to big business and Mary N that claims to have the best interest of the neighborhoods at heart..... Kasim seems like a good compromise
