Not bad, as far as rap and political ads go. I like the line about them “chomping at the bit” to spend all our money.

Lol oh my Lord! That has to be the most awful rap song in history. I guess it fits right in with a very corny campaign. Did he say “getting votes from around the way”?

First, Mary Norwood offers black people a two-piece and a biscuit from The Beautiful to vote for her and now she comes up with a corny rap song to get the younger vote. Just concede right now, Mary

I’m assume that this is not officialy from Norwood campaign, even though we have Ludacris to put away this crap. Kasim, he black and ready.

Damn Jim well you really should come out and support Kasim Reed. There is nothing there to say that Mary Norwood’s campaign released this. I may as well make a muslim rap video about Kasim Reed and put it on the web and let’s see if you say Kasim Reed campaign put it out, yet alone if would even make your biased blog.

AJC and Jim Galloway may as well endorse Kasim Reed.

Dear Mary Norwood, I know that the fine art of pandering is your speciality, but with this latest “rap” video you have taken it too far. First, the artist rapping on your ad makes Vanilla Ice sound like Rakim. Secondly, no person in their would hear that crap and decide to vote for you. After hearing that ad, I am now certain that your campaign manager is trying to sabotage your candidacy

NORWOOD’S CAMPAIGN DID NOT MAKE THIS VIDEO..JIM GALLOWAY YOU ARE A BETTER JOURNALIST THAN THAT.

Can we just have a regular election without all this non-sense and keep it to the issues. Did Kasim’s team and Galloway put this out? Would not shock me at all. Are they that scared? Kasim Reed is by far the better candidate, is this the kind of politics that we still want in Atlanta?

Galloway tries to chide the audience for using the Cracker Barrel story as a way to simplify the racial aspects of this election, then turns around and tries to simplify the debate by portraying Norwood as pandering to black voters.

Jim, don’t think we didn’t notice how far you went out of your way to attempt to provide an acceptable context to Reed’s actions, then turned around and provided no context to Norwood’s video in regard to her overall effort at outreach.

Political Insider or political hack?

The video, by the way, is a God awful embarrassment.

I’m PoliticOracle and I’m being paid by Reed to throw a barrage of mis-information out under several different names. Think that makes people want to vote for Reed? I do. So I’ll keep on posting and posting until I berate people into submission. Fear has lead most of the Jackson Political machine to support Reed – I know it will work on common voters too. Drink the Kool-aid; it’s good for you!

This “blog” is even more of a mess than the race itself. I have looked at what both people have accomplished and to be honest, although Kasim has done more on the political front Norwood has done more for the people of this city. I agree Norwood may not have the political clout that Reed has but that is not a bad thing in this instance. We know where Reed comes from, and we know what we will get….another 4 years of Franklin. Can you stand it? Norwood may not be the most politically savy person, but at least she care about this city, and has been working and living in it for the last 20 or so years, and that is more than you can cay about Reed.

LMAO at Funny, look what Norwood did for 8 yrs in the city council she close 20 recreation center and also she furloughs the police dept.

We dont need someone who set in a chair for 8 yrs doing nothing for this city. Reed didnt close 20 recreation center down, Furloughs police dept, close Atlanta fire station down in the black area it was Norwood who sign off for this to happen.

If the same logic that is used in the Cracker Barrel/Reed argument is applied to the Furloughs/Norwood argument then no one is ever responsible for what they do or who they associate with. You can always blame it on fear of being fired or losing an election.

Well…that rap song made me laugh….and as far as rap is concerned…I am definitely no judge of that part of culture.

Mary Norwood has risen above the mob (Reed and his supporter here) and she will continue to rise.

The issue for me and others….can we…will we…ever forget the dirty, trashy tricks of the underbelly of Reed supporters??

I don’t think so because we need to remember.

Go Mary…but leave the rapping to the Reedettes. They do it so much better.

I just got off the phone with Mary Norwood’s office. They laughed and said that they hadn’t heard about it and that there was not a rap song released.

MR. GALLOWAY –

My fact verification took less than a minute. Try doing a little research before you post trash. This is defamation; more specifically, it is libel. If you don’t know what that is, here is a link so you can RESEARCH:

AJC is on par with The Inquirer or Star. I think they would be more selective when choosing their writers.

Apparently this rap song was done by one of the very young supporters on her facebook in honor of Mary….but not many people in her office knew of this.

It was lifted off her facebook page this morning.

I think it cute.

Okay this is so dumb. So Mary Norwood is a racist because she has rap song that was posted to her facebook page from a fan of her campaign. Its crazy how the same people who take offense to this rap song, will listen to rap with negative and derogatory lyrics. Lets pick and choose our battles. Since when is listening to rap or having a positive rap song on your facebook page racist, No one made a big issue of the Vote Miss Angela Song during the 2006 primary when she ran for Secretary of State.

Jim Galloway: you need to take stock at what your blog has become. It’s been hijacked by some posters here and it’s now a total joke.

Perhaps you allow the racism of some posters here because it will ‘what’???? It is sickening and so backward.

This also discredits you, pal.

Though you don’t exactly remain on the fence concerning your support for Reed….perhaps you should think about the hijacking some of these Reed posters (like Mess Up:Shut Up, Norwood paying Bloggers, (who are the same moron), etc) are doing to YOUR blog.

Most people here desperately want to discuss the real issues of both candidates…yet you continue to allow these above morons to hijack this blog.

What goes with that, Jim?

At this point, there is little reason for intelligent posters to remain here. And that is both the Norwood and Reed ones.

To Norwood Paying Bloggers:

First I would like to say that it would be easier to respond to your post if you would work harder to form sentences using correct grammar.
Second, I wish someone was paying me to blog!
Third and in response to your post, sorry, Teela and I are not the same person. I guess you haven’t considered that not everyone thinks like you do. I believe they laughed because it was ludacris that someone would make the claim that this is was “unveiled” by Norwood’s office. I could care less whether or not she did decide to use a rap song in her campaign.
Best of luck in English class!!!
