Judge says U.S. Corps of Engineers responsible for Katrina damage to New Orleans

Wow. This from the New Orleans Times-Picayune:

In a groundbreaking decision, a federal judge ruled late Wednesday that the Army Corps of Engineers’ mismanagement of maintenance of the Mississippi River-Gulf Outlet was directly responsible for flood damage of homes in St. Bernard Parish and the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

The decision by U.S. District Judge Stanwood Duval Jr. could result in the federal government paying $700,000 in damages to three people and a business in those areas, but also sets the stage for judgments against the govenment for damages by as many as 100,000 other residents, businesses and local governments in those areas who filed claims with the corps after Katrina.

If successful, the damage claims could total billions of dollars.

This is a phony story. Everyone knows that Bush and Cheney fired up the Halliburton Global Warming Hurricane Weather Machine and damaged New Orleans by design and on purpose. Honestly, Jumbo G, get the facts straight.

Had Andrew Jackson been a man, and an American, and history clearly shows he wasn’t, the Roman Catholic cathedral of New Orleans would have been razed upon his victory over the English, rather than its performing a “tribute” for him.

Sustaining a city below sea level, to act as Rome’s choke point for control of Mississippi River traffic, and above, was, and is, fundamentally unsound.

It is no coincidence that such a basin of corruption and papist design was the staging area for the assassination of President Kennedy after his ordering our military withdrawal from the papal fiefdom of Vietnam.

As the Corps of Engineers’ failure to maintain was a political decision by the 9/11-committing Bush administration: the damage awards should be paid out of the expropriated wealth of the Roman Anti-Christ’s “Fifth Column,” which is responsible for the Bush/Rockefeller’s family’s multi-generational treasons – and not out of the American taxpayers’ pockets.

Our monies going to Wall Street fatcats’ welfare fascism to shore up Rome’s unconstitutional Federal Reserve Ponzi scheme JFK’s Executive Order 11,110 ended, is more of the same.

To be truly American is to be revolutionary. Let’s make it happen, sovereign People. The only thing to stop their bleeding us, is us.

Shouldn’t our children’s posterity be important enough for us to restore the American Dream and cast the Beast into the Pit?

In dozens of HEADLINES & articles…the Atlanta-Obama-Journal blamed the whole thing on George Bush….What a revelation…….years too late.

At long last the truth is out (again). All of us in N.O. victimized by the Corps, knew it all along. Yet still ignoramii put out misinformation like the city is below sea level. Truth is only half the city is. And I see a new twist, Rome and the Catholic Church are to blame. Thank God I left the Bible Belt.

Everyone in N.O. knew it was a matter of time that they would be swamped. Don’t blame the world that you’re a stupid idiot to live below sea level, beside a lake that sits above your town, that is almost completely surrounded by swamps! It’s not the Gobi desert, you know. I wasn’t in the courtroom when the judge made his/her decision, so I will not make presumptions about the decision. However, if you gambled by living under sea level in New Orleans and didn’t hedge your bets safely with an insurance company, then SHAME ON YOU!!

David,

I understand that this will probably not change your mind, since you seem so consumed by anger towards people who have done you no harm whatsoever. But please get your facts straight: the majority of the population of New Orleans does not live below sea level. The data out there mentioning about 60% of the city being below mean sea level includes a lot of newish suburban development and marshland in New Orleans East that is relatively sparsely populated. The old part of NOLA (French Quarter, Uptown, Bywater, etc.) is above sea level, some of it as much as 13 feet. It would be nice to know if you would like to see the entire western part of California preemptively razed in anticipation of The Big One and Kansas left for only the buffaloes to roam (tornadoes, you know?). Also, please let me know if you would like to be put in touch with a few New Orleanians so that you can personally shame them – they deserve a good laugh after the blood, sweat and tears they have spent rebuilding their homes with their own money after the government and the insurance companies failed to make them whole.
