Mike Huckabee is the only Republican with the intellect, character, experience, judgment and charisma to defeat Barack Obama in 2012. He will need to defeat the establishment of his own Republican party as well as the liberal Democrats to win, but he has a large and growing following, not only among the social conservatives, but many independents and moderates who care about the future of this country, not just their own pocketbooks. He would make a great President.

Wasn't Huck for the war, though? If so, I wouldn't say hes too religious. I'm pretty sure Jesus never justified ANY war.

Mike Huckabee is a man of deep character and moral conviction. I wish I could drive over and see him at one of these appearances. Governor Huckabee is a man who will one day grab the nation's top office and give hard-working folk like me my country back. What does "giving me my country back" mean? It means the restoration of a culture where we all respect life and freedom. I'll try to keep the "religion" out of this since it upsets Jimbo and his liberal brethren, but I believe that Governor Huckabee will fight for people like me who have deep religious convictions. We feel left out of the political process because the dominant liberal media culture and Hollyweird are filled with those who hate religion and freedom. Since they have so much power to influence the minds in this country (and the world), they are a threat to us and our lifestyles. I know that a President Huckabee will clean up our culture while creating jobs, strengthening defense, restoring traditional family values and protecting our borders from illegals and thugs.

John Doe-

When did Iowa get moved to the "deep south"? Huckabee finished second to McCain and in my opinion had a better chance to beat Obama than me too McCain did. With Huckabee as president we wouldn't have the bailouts, stimulus, the massive deficts and he would be supporting the commander in Afganistan rather then Obama who just can't make up his mind.

The only region Huckabee carried was the deep south in last year's GOP primaries. Who cares about him? He's a joke.

There is a big difference between spending money that has already been allocated versus adding earmarks/pork to a separate bill, AH.

http://blogs.chron.com/txpotomac/2008/04/ron_pauls_earmarks_for_fy2009.html

Those are all of his and each one came from money that was already allocated for that very purpose. What you are proposing, AH, is that Ron Paul not designate ANY needy projects for money that has been set aside for that very purpose (In other words, completely leave South Texas out of the picture even though they are funding the improvements throughout the rest of the nation). I suggest you research Ron Paul yourself before you make statements of that magnitude.

And yes, he votes NO because he would rather not spend that money. But if his constituents are going to be forced to pay for that nations fixes, he wants to make sure they are getting their fair share of those designated programs (nothing more).

I dont think Huckabee is a serious candidate. He has no real appeal beyond the single-issue types. Huckabee serves to take votes away from right of center types who might otherwise have a chance to get the nomination and maybe win a general election. He might run if he needs his ego boosted.

Actually R[love]ution, Ron Paul doesn't have any principles he is just a better actor than most. His stick is to rant and rave against any spending bill and act like he is against "Big Government" however what he does is get tons of ear marks or targeted spending inserted into nearly every bill. Then he votes against the bill so that he can run around telling everybody how against big government he is. He is worst than most of the other parasites up there in DC because he wants the best of both worlds and he pulls the wool over peoples eyes.

Just google Ron Paul and ear marks you'll get a bunch of stories about his two faced routine. If you dig enough you'll find that over the past 10 years he has been in the top 5 recipients of ear marks over and over.
